How To Live As A Writer In A Fantasy World 142

Chapter 142

Arwen’s speech was a huge success, drawing enthusiastic support from the people, but a closer look reveals that it was not a complete success.

It contains content that could be tainted with racial supremacy, that is, fascism, if misinterpreted, and in fact, it urges people not to fall into pride.

In order to somehow make pure blood and mixed blood into one group called elves, there is something unavoidable.

So, looking forward, the key is whether pure blood and mixed blood can merge well and become one with the true meaning. If Arwen went the way he wanted, even the Dark Elves might be able to accept it.

However, it is clear that it will hinder Arwen from accumulating achievements, the special prize of the Senate, who keeps her in check. I hope that Arwen is doing well.

So when all the speeches were finished and the people dispersed in the square, we sat still. The reason is simple.

“It’s an honor to meet you. I…”

“I am truly happy to meet the Imperial Sun…”

“I’ll invite you to our country later…”

“Where is Helium?”

As soon as the speech was over, people gathered around Lina and Cecily. Albnheim had guests from other countries as well as the Minerva Empire, so it was a semi-planned event.

I instinctively tried to fall in a seat like this because it was uncomfortable. In order to plan for the future, I had to get used to this kind of instant meeting, but it was a habit I came up with without my knowledge.

But there was one person who stopped me.

“Where are you going? You should get used to this kind of place now.”

“I don’t like it…”

“Don’t argue. If you marry me later, you too will have no choice but to debut in a social church. You don’t want to distance yourself from me just because you don’t want to debut in a social church, do you?”

It was my girlfriend Marie. She took me to her impromptu meeting, pointing out the correct words one by one.

At first I grumbled, but after thinking about it, there was nothing wrong with attending. Moreover, as it is an instant meeting, there is no need to feel pressured as it will only take place for a short time.

Instead, it takes a while to be a member of the royal family or aristocrats of other countries, not the nobles of the Minerva Empire. I didn’t know much about their culture and manners.

However, he soon realized that that anxiety was nothing more than a rainstorm.

“You said your name is Isaac? There are very few red hairs in the world, but they are very unique.”

“I hear that a lot. I think Lady must have heard a lot of similar things to me, right?”

“My hair is orange, so I hear that a lot. Does Princess Marie hear that a lot too?”

“That’s right. Gray hair is not common.”

Whether it was because it was an instant meeting or because of Marie’s high rank, everyone was friendly. Especially the hair and the pupils always mentioned whenever they looked at me.

What’s more, I was a baron, and Marie was a duke, so it was a perfect way to arouse people’s curiosity. Occasionally, some people would ask Marie what she saw of me and engaged her.

It may be a slightly unpleasant question, but looking at the class of the two of us, it is bound to be a question that arises naturally.

And whenever my girlfriend answered that question, she pointed at me and answered.

“I think you can tell by looking at the face of our fiancée. Imagine smiling kindly with a face like this.”

“Oh… I get it. It’s rare to see such a distinctive look.”

“Yes. That’s right. And I think you’re in good shape…”

“I was trained as a knight in the past. Although I quit because I didn’t have any talent, I’m still working out consistently.”

“For your reference, he is a promising talent from professors at Halo Academy. He has already been registered as a recommended student and is helping professors.”

Somehow I got to brag, but I was trying to appeal that I was a man suitable for Marie. That way you won’t underestimate me.

As expected, when Marie’s bragging time was over, women as well as men looked at us with envy. Perhaps they think of us as a good-natured couple.

Marie is from a peasant family and is a beautiful woman, and I am a man of low rank but capable and individualistic.

He came from the Minerva Empire, the strongest human being, so there is nothing he can do about it. Thanks to him, I was able to build a network of people easily.

A little time passed like that, and some of them left first due to their busy schedules. As the number of people decreased, naturally Lina and Cecily joined the group.

Most of the conversation was led by women, and men answered their questions. In non-narrative conversations, women are superior to men, so it is natural for them to take the initiative.

I also just listened to the chatter of women. I made eye contact with other men half way through, but when I let out an awkward laugh, they laughed bitterly too.

Although their nationalities, cultures, and classes were different, men were too simple to engage in women’s chatter.

“By the way, what do you guys think of speeches?”

Then a woman mentioned the speech. She was a woman with brown hair and blue eyes, a simple yet elegant beauty.

When I heard through the previous conversation, I said he was from the Duchy of Velois. The Principality of Velois is a small but wealthy country as it is a center of global trade.

He wants to occupy the greedy Minerva Empire as well, but since it is a neutral country, he has left it alone.

“It was a great speech. I especially like the phrase “of the elves, by the elves, for the elves” at the end. But it’s a little bit…”

“Do you think it has a racial supremacy feeling?”

Cecily, who had been listening quietly, answered instead. The woman, who had been hesitant to open her mouth, nodded her head eagerly when Cecily responded coolly.

For some reason, Cecily glanced at me once, and then continued with a smile.

“I’m also worried about that, but the Queen has mentioned it all over again. Don’t fall for pride. Originally, pride is the only way to become proud when it harms others. As long as you don’t harm others and have pride, there will be no problem. “

“I see. Somehow, even mentioning the race war, there was a reason.”

“Yes. And we’ll have to wait and see what happens next. The Queen has taken good care of it, but people don’t know about it.”

As the critique of the speech continued, I glanced elsewhere. The place where I moved my attention was none other than the place where the nobles of Albenheim were located.

There, people gathered to see if an instant meeting was taking place like us. Maybe some of the people over there are listening to us.

It is not that there is no possibility at all, as elves can use magic as if they were breathing demons, so they could also eavesdrop. The people here are not ordinary nobles, but belong to the royal family or high-ranking aristocrats.

‘I don’t know if it’s right to talk here.’

It’s an instant meeting, so important words won’t come out, but just in case you don’t know. Because there are things in the world that you can’t talk about.

Fortunately, Arwen was younger than expected, so I was surprised, but because he was an elf, he must be old, etc. There were only these words, nothing more.

In case someone brings up strange things without noticing…

“Kate-sama. It seems a bit rude to talk about that here. There are nobles from Albenheim over there.”

“Ah…! Sin, I’m sorry.”

Lina, who can be said to be the highest, stopped him immediately. Also, the class is a thug.

Anyway, the instant meeting ended in a short time, and we had to return to the academy tomorrow, so we moved on. I wanted to go around Albenheim, but I didn’t have enough time.

More than anything…

“Ecc!”

“Still?”

“Ugh. Ugh…”

Because Cecily’s allergic reaction was getting worse and worse. In her recent impromptu meeting with her, she said little and answered questions asked, but she practically kept her mouth shut.

People who saw it thought it was a little strange, but as I was sneezing and sniffling like I do now, I quickly realized that I wasn’t feeling well.

I looked at her with worried eyes and suddenly noticed something around her neck.

It’s not like chicken meat, it’s something that sprouts…

“Huh? Noona. What happened to your neck?”

“What, what?”

Cecily was startled when she heard me and then clapped her neck. Then he looked very bewildered and then hurriedly checked his arm.

There were also hives-like growths on her white arms. When we saw it, our eyes widened and we couldn’t help but be surprised.

The Mana of the World Tree was more lethal to the Demons than expected.

“…Lord Balak!”

“Yes, Princess.”

Cecily saw her arm and called Gartz. At this, Gartz silently appeared to us.

I was a little surprised by his ability to appear without a sign, but that wasn’t the problem. Cecily asked him in an urgent voice.

“Have you ever had Balak’s Mild Hives?”

“I don’t have hives yet… Hitch! I’m sorry. I don’t have hives like the princess did.”

“Umm…”

Hearing his answer, Cecily narrowed her brow and looked at her arm. Although the hives were not yet severe, even the skin turned red, and the symptoms were getting worse.

In many cases such as hives, it improves with time, but I am not sure because this is the first time in such a case. It wasn’t pollen or food, it was a symptom caused by ‘mana’.

Cecily turned her head and looked back. Her gaze was directed towards the World Tree.

“…I think I can see why the demons couldn’t invade Albnheim.”

Then she muttered bitterly and wrapped her hands around her hives. Meanwhile, I looked at Cecily with worried eyes.

Cecily seemed to have sensed my gaze, and with a characteristic smile, relieved her worries.

“Don’t worry too much. It’s because I’m too strong to see that Lord Balak doesn’t have hives. The stronger the demons, the stronger the black mana.”

“…Let’s go back soon. Then it gets worse.”

“Thanks for your concern. But I’m not as weak as you think… Ecchu!!”

“… …”

I gently closed my eyes as soon as Cecily sneeze. Since they were facing each other, I could feel the saliva splashing all over my face vividly.

If there had been a harbinger, he would have turned his head, but there was no time to escape because it suddenly exploded without a harbinger.

“Hey… Mi, I’m sorry. Shall I wipe it off?”

“…it’s okay.”

In order for the demons to come to Yggdrasil, it seemed like they had to prepare everything.

*****

It was when Isaac and his party were returning home. Arwen’s speech was sufficient to dispel the ingrained pride in the hearts of the people of Albenheim, but he was not without dissatisfaction.

Of course, the representative among them was Arwen’s check-in force, the Senate. They couldn’t help but be taken aback by Arwen’s famous speech, which was far beyond their expectations.

It was only about a week until he gave a speech to the public, but whether it was his talent or a number he had hidden, he showed an unexpected ability to speak. The speech was also a speech, but the content of the speech gave a great shock to the senate.

“Damn! I must have been hiding such an ability…!”

Pyren, the head of the Senate and the deputy, took offense upon returning to Elodia. Arwen’s speech to the public ended with great success beyond his expectations, and furthermore, the border between pure blood and mixed blood is disappearing.

He, who had always kept Arwen in check, could not comprehend it. She already knows that she likes books and her eloquence is good, but her speech is different.

I don’t know what happened in the week, but Arwen moved the hearts of the people of Albenheim and captured their hearts.

‘I thought I would fail…’

Pyren struggled as she put her finger between her narrowed forehead. The reason he didn’t touch Arwen during the week of preparation was because he predicted that he would be preparing a speechless speech.

Originally, the purpose was to promote conflict between pure blood and mixed blood to drive out all mixed races. When Arwen first revealed that she was also half-breed, she laughed out loud inside.

But the predictions went wrong, and even the plans were scrapped. I didn’t know that Arwen would form a group called ‘Elves’ instead of distinguishing between pure blood and mixed blood.

It is obvious that Arwen’s political position is being pushed back. Perhaps even the elite who help the senate might support Arwen.

“Senator Florence!”

“Well?”

While Pyren was contemplating, someone rushed to her. At this, Pyren got out of thought and confirmed who it was.

It was Zukiri, an elf that he trusted as a member of the council and delivered information. She had a beautiful face like an elf, but she has an urgent face.

“Why?”

“There’s something to see. Look at this!”

Zukiri gasped as if he had run away in a hurry and handed the paper to Pyren. Pyren took over the paper without any doubt, wondering if it was a letter.

However, what was written on the paper was enough to make Pyren’s eyes round.

Because the contents of the paper coincided with the contents of Arwen’s speech to the public this time.

The problem is that it’s not Arwen’s handwriting, it’s someone else’s handwriting. She already knew the level of her handwriting.

“This…”

“It was discovered by the maid while cleaning the queen’s bedroom. It seems the queen forgot and didn’t clean it up. But…”

“The handwriting is different. This was not written by the Queen.”

“Yes. Yes. What do you think?”

“Umm…”

Pyren pondered while stroking her white beard. If used well, you can press Arwen, but this alone is not enough.

Who, when, where, delivered the speech to Arwen, and why.

Four of the six rules are not enough. As Pyren spins his head as fast as he can, an assumption flashes into his mind.

‘Come to think of it, the Queen is particularly reluctant to find Xenon…’

There are many good writers in the world. But few write such a moving speech as a speech like this.

Of course, this may be an over-the-top idea, but considering Arwen’s attitude, it’s not unusual. She rejected all of their requests to find Zenon, and concluded that it was only her book.

But what if Xenon and Arwen have a close relationship? Even Arwen revealed himself to be of mixed race, and mixed race has an environment in which to grow in human society.

And in Zeno’s biography, there is also a tragic narrative of Kair and Elisha. A love story between an elf queen and a human with extraordinary abilities.

Even Xenon is a wise man who has gone through a lot of trouble before birth, and it is estimated that he has melted his experiences into Zeno’s biography. Without it, it would be impossible to make a story like this.

Pyren couldn’t help but be suspicious of the strangely tight fit of the puzzle.

Arwen and Zenon are close friends with a deep relationship in the past. Perhaps they broke up due to the difference in life span.

“…Zukiri.”

“Yes, delegate.”

“Send someone right now to the publisher of Zeno’s biography. And ask for one letter with Zeno’s statement on it.”

“Yes? Why is that…”

Firen raised one corner of her mouth and said, puzzled by Zukiri.

“I thought it was going to be an interesting story.”

    Bad writting.

  2. kk says:

i don’t think it’s force though. there’s a hint that show the Queen’s feeling toward MC. She didn’t want to burn the paper because of her unconciously favor feeling toward him. It’s like a charm to give confidence to her before the speech i guess.

  3. Slacker says:

This really feels forced after the author kept mentioning the elves’ perfect memory and insisting on burning the paper after reading it.
Also, how has Isaac not been found out by his professors if the writing style is that obvious, the only ones that got suspicious were those setup for his harem.
