How To Live As A Writer In A Fantasy World 501

Editor(1)

Although there were many twists and turns, the revolution of Machina ended with the victory of the Dwarf trio, that is, the Geist.

It showed the power of the ‘tank’, which appeared for the first time in the world, and at the same time revealed its limits.

I heard that he used an iron spear that was also effective against dragons. Although not completely penetrating, it penetrated the thick front of the tank.

This alone is surprising, but what is even more incredible is the end of King Bourges V. When the crown fell into the furnace, it fell into half the ruler and half the others.

It is similar to Gollum in The Lord of the Rings. The difference is that Gollum is corrupted by the Absolute Ring and Bourges V is tainted by greed.

In any case, this alone was enough to shake the world, but Ains’ subsequent remarks produced a greater ripple effect.

[Geist’s leader, Ains. Distribute the blueprints for the magic engine all over the world.]

A magical organ that drew the attention of the world when it appeared in the world. He declared that he would share the blueprints for that magical engine.

A magical engine is an invention of unspent expenditure that can generate mana from materials other than humans.

Of course, I had no choice but to be surprised, but sharing the ‘blueprint’ did not mean that there were no problems at all.

[Even if the blueprint exists, how many people can understand and use it?]

[It’s possible because it’s a Dwarf, but it will take decades for other races to just follow it.]

[Physics, mathematics, and the new concept of ‘engineering’]

A craftsman who has been honing his skills for decades needs only one blueprint. However, how many ‘artisans who have honed their skills for decades’ exist in the world?

Dwarves were born as artisans by race, so it’s okay, but it will take several years for other races to understand.

In particular, the ones who express their displeasure the most are by far the beasts and demons. Unlike elves and humans, these two races will face difficulties.

The beast was too good to use his head, and the demons were isolated for too long and their basic learning fell short.

It’s only possible for Dwarves to throw away one blueprint and make it in a jiffy.

[The production of energy by machines, not humans, requires in-depth analysis.]

[This is a concept that is similar to physics and mathematics, but cannot be said to be the same. A study focused on the field of ‘machine’ is needed.]

[I need the help of an architect. As basic as a blueprint is needed when building a building […]

Since the advent of the magic engine, a new discipline called ‘engineering’ began to emerge little by little.

The concept of engineering itself has existed steadily since the establishment of civilization, but it has been a long time since it has been classified as a science.

The same goes for civil engineering. Civil engineering is a field that has been studied since the 18th century on earth basis, so this part can be considered a bit early.

[The leader of Ains announced that he would award the ‘Xenon Prize’ to the great man who changed the world…]

In addition, there is even news that the Xenon Prize will be awarded to those who make innovative inventions or have achieved equivalent achievements.

After hearing this, I rubbed my eyes for a long time wondering if I had misunderstood. But no matter how many times I look at it, it’s a Zeno statue.

It’s not my real name, but my pen name has become like a Nobel Prize. It’s not shameful because the name has already been sold as much as it is sold, but it’s absurd.

Above all, you never asked for my opinion. Ains could not have considered the political aspect, and in my opinion, it was done without thinking.

[Reaction from other countries. Having only inventions in such an honorable award is too advantageous for Dwarves. Other conditions must also be included […]

[You must specify each field, not the invention. To advance the level of human civilization one step further, including peace […]

But I was fighting over this. If it had been given a name other than the Xenon statue, everyone would think so.

But it’s an award with my name on it. As you all know, my name’s value jumped to the ceiling for a long time and I couldn’t break through it.

Just as Earth’s Nobel Prize is the most prestigious and honorable prize in the world, the Xenon Prize is a higher honor than that.

Because of this, other countries will have no choice but to turn their eyes on and ask them to include other fields as well. As Ains said, the Dwarves would have won the most awards.

I squatted without saying anything. Even though my name was sold a little, it was difficult to intervene as long as countries were arguing with each other.

[The revolution of Machina is over, but the panic that plunged the world into chaos is not over.]

[Will the Panic End with the Appearance of the Magical Engine? Or will it lead to a greater panic?]

Most important of all, the Great Depression is still rife. You might get another butterfly effect by brushing your mouth here.

Moreover, since the end of the Machina revolution, there are hopeful news, but we do not know yet.

It is unclear whether the factories will return to their original position due to the shared horsepower engine, and Machina is currently politically unstable.

It seems that they are making a rather special type of system rather than a monarchy, but this alone should be enough for several months.

[The Minerva Empire. All the unemployed will be put into production only. The upper chamber and upper division changed their business according to the guidance of the empire […]

[Insufficient labor is being put in to prevent starvation due to famine.]

[A situation in which you and I are focused only on production. It will not rain, but it will be enough to wet the dry land.]

It is hopeful that the Minerva Empire’s version of the New Deal has been implemented. This is a policy that gradually surfaced before the end of the revolution.

Starting with putting all the unemployed into production, and turning it back to upper- and upper-end production, which is on the verge of bankruptcy.

Thanks to this, the number of unemployed decreased noticeably, and the collapsed businesses were able to breathe, but it was still insufficient.

The bubble that has grown little by little over the past 300 years cannot be ignored. Therefore, the limitations of a simple policy alone were clear.

“Are you sure about what you said? That the productivity of the magic engine explodes?”

“Yeah. So did our world.”

“Your world is different from ours. Can you tell me from a realistic point of view instead of borrowing the power of a previous life?”

A blonde woman with a beautiful smile asks a threatening question. I smiled bitterly at the woman.

“Laughs? You don’t know how much trouble I’m having with you right now? Makes me want to throw a teacup right now?”

Perhaps she interpreted my laugh in a different way, the blonde woman, Lina, spoke in a bloody voice. Seeing the hand holding the teacup tremble, it doesn’t seem like a joke.

Hearing those words, I quickly erased a bitter smile and returned with an expressionless expression. Even if it’s just a prank, a teacup could actually fly in my face.

He nods her head as if she is satisfied, and elegantly drinks the tea.

Stress was likely to build up from the recent series of events, but her words and actions were as elegant as hers.

Occasionally, very occasionally, reason is cut off and nature is revealed, but at least not now. He seems to be holding onto the string of reason somehow.

“·······You must have a hard time too. Are you sleeping?”

It seems that Marie felt sorry for her as well. Normally, I would have been joking around saying it wasn’t my business, but I came out to be honest.

That means that Lina’s condition is not as good as it looks. In fact, Lina’s face has undergone drastic changes in recent years.

Her unique splendid beauty was still there, but she couldn’t hide her dark circles even with makeup.

However, since her beauty is her beauty, she exudes a different charm by adding a flower-like beauty on a cliff.

“Yeah. Don’t worry. I sleep three hours a day.”

Of course, I don’t need that, and I’ll be spoiled for choice. After hearing the strong answer, Marie put on a trembling expression on her face.

With a face just before he died from overwork, he answered with a smile like that. I felt an emotion that went beyond sadness.

at the same time feeling guilty. It was meant to help the Machina revolution, but a huge butterfly effect occurred.

A bubble that has grown in size unknowingly for 300 years. As the bubble burst, the weakness and bare face of the Minerva Empire were fully exposed.

Numerous attacks must be continuing from the inside as well as the outside. If it were me, my mental state would have exploded earlier.

“Anyway, the magic engine is working, right?”

“Yeah. Machines do the work of humans, so it’s natural for productivity to increase. But can it be introduced quickly? The newspapers say it’s difficult?”

“Only in newspapers, the introduction itself is not difficult. Thanks to Stavirk, our empire is also quite good at mechanics, so engineering is pretty good. It’s just that the efficiency has gone down, so we didn’t invest.”

Here’s Lina’s explanation: Even though they are crying for independence now, engineering has advanced thanks to Stavirk.

Even with the advancement of engineering, efficiency, i.e. ‘labor cost’, was much cheaper than machines, so I just stayed away from it.

Moreover, Machina did not attract much attention because there was a country that was engrossed in productivity.

Power is required to properly operate a machine, and there are many limitations that humans can replace that power.

“Then why can’t we introduce it earlier?”

“Again, again. Do you speak recklessly with that pierced mouth? Even if you introduce a magical engine, don’t you think about its impact?”

Lina smirks once again and makes counter-threatening threats. I closed my mouth like a clam and began to look.

Because of what I’ve done so far, I’m in a situation where I can’t even be bothered to ask a question.

Even Marie is on Lina’s side, thinking that this can’t be covered.

“Introduction of a magic engine? It’s a good word. But just making that engine is a physics… No, I’ll have to call it an engineer now. Anyway, engineers have to stick together. And to make that machine, various materials are needed and , coal is required to operate the engine. In order to properly operate a single magic engine, more than a dozen jobs must be attached to it.”

“··········There are many.”

“So many. Now do you see how happy I am?”

“sorry.”

“I’m sorry, I’ll vomit all the knowledge I know. You damn red penguin.”

Is it because of the recent stress? Lina spit out an unusually harsh word. It’s a comfort, not a comfort, that I didn’t swear.

As you can see from Lina, the imperial family, including her, is working overtime, saying it is a long day.

However, Lina is relatively less active. Emperor Berith and Prince Leort sleep only one hour a day.

I am in the process of proposing new policies by appropriately adjusting the New Deal policies I have delivered before, but this alone is difficult to sustain the panic.

“Well, first of all, the introduction of the magic engine is a matter of fact. It’s just that we need to find a complex to focus on for production, it’s just a matter of deciding where to put it. The first area to be discussed is the Stavirk area.”

“Huh? It’s independent now, so don’t you get mad about it?”

The national power of the Minerva Empire was actually balloon muscle. Since this weakness was exposed, it has received many attacks from various places, and internally, Stavirk is raging.

Taking advantage of the weakening of the empire’s influence, they were shouting for independence. The Empire is also neglecting it because it is not suitable for sending troops.

Building a factory complex in the Stavirk region under these circumstances is a somewhat difficult decision to understand.

“What if those people shout? It’s a panic that has erupted not only in the Minerva Empire, but all over the world. To stop it, who is going to put up a factory zone there? There’s no other place like that.”

That’s right. No matter how much Stavirk shouts for independence, it means nothing in the face of a global crisis.

At the same time, the Stavirks are widely known as a dexterous people. There must be a good cause, if you build a factory zone and put workers in it, it’s over.

Even if the machine breaks down in the middle, the Stavirks can repair it. This is Lina’s current thinking.

“Isn’t it a little dangerous? What if those people later use the factory to do anything?”

“So, we are going to set up a factory in an ambiguous area. A place where Stavirk people often come and go, but it is the territory of the Minerva Empire. Even if the war of independence breaks out, we just have to destroy all of that factory. Besides, we are not fools, so we are not fools. You have to invest.”

“Well······”

It is a hopeful story and an extension of politics. I nodded my head in understanding, then glanced down.

I don’t know because I haven’t put my hand on the table until now, but my hand is under the table.

And in her hand, she holds a ‘manuscript’ to show to Lina. The reason I called Lina today is partly to ask about her current situation, but there is also this.

‘What do we do?’

Should I show this or not? I shifted my gaze to the side as I went through contemplation.

Marie is smiling and talking to Lina, but she is clutching my manuscript under the table. By the way, the manuscript was also shown to Marie.

There was only one thing I said as soon as I saw the manuscript. You will see Lina full of madness and despair.

‘·······Because it is better to sell first.’

I’m really sorry for Lina, but I can’t help it. It was a necessary thought for the future story.

I swallowed my saliva and slowly raised my hand holding the manuscript on the table. The die is thrown.

As if Marie realized that I had made a decision, she relaxed her hand holding the manuscript.

“I… Lina?”

“yes?”

“Would you like to see this?”

Lina blinked and said as I handed her a manuscript.

“What’s this?”

“The Manuscript of Ten Volumes of Blood and Steel.”

“You haven’t released the 9th volume yet, have you?”

“But I can’t stop writing. Take a look.”

“Hmm······”

At my words, Lina gave her a suspicious look, then gently accepted it. After that, I took a sip of tea and started turning the manuscript pages one by one.

and······

“Hey, you bastard!!!”

As Marie predicted, she was able to meet Lina, who was full of despair and madness. The funny thing is that he did not throw the manuscript and put it lightly on the table.

“National self-determinationism?! People. People. So. Gyul. State. Right?! Are you kidding me in this situation?! The moment I raise the army now, my neck is blown away!! You know?!”

But the anger that followed immediately could not be stopped. She jumped up from the table and shouted so loudly that the dormitory rumbled.

I accepted the anger calmly, and Marie covered her ears with a gentle expression on her face.

Adelia was just watching the fire across the river. Lina’s anger was only taken by me.

“That… you know. But this is the method that Hitler used, so it’s absolutely necessary.”

“You can adapt it properly!! Why the hell do you need such an idea?! How did this idea help you!!”

I touched the back of my neck and pondered whether to speak or not, then answered in a timid voice.

“… did you know that our country had an independence movement during the Japanese colonial period?”

“What kind of world is the world you used to live in…”

When I cast Tallulah, Lina muttered as if she had been liberated.

“Yeah. I’d rather think of it as a good thing that Hitler didn’t fall over. It’s better than this. Yeah. Don’t get better. f*ck.”

I was really ripped off

‘·······From now on, I must show the manuscript to Lina.’

Somehow, I feel like an editor.

“··········· Isaac.”

“yes?”

“Isn’t it still true that you and Nicole-san were pressured by me and your brother a year ago?”

“······no?”

It’s a real testimonial.

Bruh, did Minerva Empire learned something from this crisis????
They’re putting all their eggs in an unstable basket.
I mean it’s great that the people of stavirk are second to dwarves but they’re wasting all their investments and experienced workers once the independence war started. It’s better to put it in a stable territory and move some talented people from stavirk to “that” territory.
