I Became a Blind Swordsman at the Academy chapter 143

143. About lightning

143. About lightning

Joint combat training was going well without a hitch.

In today’s class, Lucia finally imagined a target that wasn’t Amon as Amon, and vomited the spirit of hitting the target without using magic.

It was the moment when her relentless efforts shined through. After hearing Lucia’s proud explanation, Amon can now be seen even in empty space.

Amon, who suddenly became Lucia’s target, had a confused expression, but isn’t good good?

When I matched the match against Edward this time, other than the ‘real’ Amon, no other allies got hit by Lucia’s magic.

If there’s an unintended benefit, it seems that Amon has developed considerable resistance to wind magic.

Although I wondered if there would be a lot of dealing with a wizard who handles wind magic, wouldn’t it be helpful to him someday?

Although Yuri and Eisel bickered from time to time, they often seemed to get along well.

Were the two of them colliding like that in the first place?

Anyway, it didn’t affect the battle, so I decided not to worry about it.

After finishing the additional training today, I took Ray and Zeppetti from home to find a forest outside the academy that was not easily seen by people.

Anyway, it was Ray who had to develop his strength as a warrior, and Zepetty also needed to check how much power he had.

ㅡ Chaeyoung!!

The clash of swords against each other creates a clear resonance.

Then, Jeppetti came over from behind Ray, who was facing swords with me.

A long blade protruded from the edge of her forearm.

I wondered if there had to be such an ugly thing coming out of Zeppetti’s body, but according to her explanation, it was basically just a means to protect her body.

ㅡChaechaechaeng!!

I let go of Ray’s sword at an angle, took a step back, and received Zepetty’s series of consecutive attacks like flowing water.

At that moment, a gap was seen in Zeppetti’s body floating in the air.

ㅡpain!

I didn’t let go of this and spread my palms to push Zeppetti’s abdomen.

“I’m sorry…”

Zeppetti was hit in the abdomen and pushed away dragging the blade on her arm to the ground.

Holding the abdomen and frowning, the pain seemed to be mild.

Zeppetti was not accustomed to pain because he had just acquired a human body.

It could have eliminated the pain it felt on its own, Zeppetti said, but doing so would easily break the body apart.

‘An older brother who ruthlessly beats his younger sisters…’

They were literally doing something no different from a brute force, but they asked for it to be handled as close to real combat as possible.

Ray says he has no taste for fighting.

And it was Zeppetti’s opinion that the more similar it was to the real battle, the easier it was to collect data.

Of course, it wasn’t like the real thing.

Since he couldn’t use the highly lethal force, he was dealing with them at the same time while keeping it sealed.

It was a rare and rare combination of a reincarnated hero and a highly developed artificial intelligence, but it wasn’t too difficult to deal with the two.

Ray had an excellent understanding of swordsmanship, but her body still couldn’t keep up with it.

Zeppetti was quick to calculate like an artificial intelligence and was good at analyzing the opponent’s movements, but he was still having difficulties in handling his own body.

‘Anyway, both of them have problems with their bodies.’

I kept my guard and checked the condition of the two.

“…”

Ray wipes the sweat dripping down his chin.

The fighting spirit flowing from his eyes was still burning, but his legs were shaking.

“…Sobbing.”

Zeppetti was standing on his stomach, where he had been beaten earlier. Well, that was the third time I got hit in the same area.

After checking their condition, I lowered my sword and opened my mouth.

“…Shall we do it this far?”

“I can still fight more.”

“If you reduce the pain by 30%, you can still fight.”

He also doesn’t give up easily.

“It’s good to want to do more, but it’s not good to put too much strain on your body.”

Ray and Zeppetti finally relax at my firm reply.

[Impossible… Ha, I don’t think that’s what our apprentice would say. ]

Sierra’s laughing tackle was a bonus.

Soon after, Ray, who had drawn his sword, walked towards me.

“…the candy.”

Ray looks up at me with nonchalant eyes.

Come to think of it, he said he would give me candy if he beat me.

‘Well, should this also be considered a win?’

I didn’t mean to give it away, so I took out a candy from my pocket and put it in her tiny hand.

Then Ray, who was looking at the candy in his hand, looked at me again.

“Not this.”

Are you talking about a different taste?

I thought it would be cumbersome for me, who should not be able to see, to pick out the candy by smelling it, so I just took out the candy bag from the pocket of the subspace and held it out to her.

In the end, Ray found the flavor he wanted in the candy bag. It tasted like chocolate vanilla.

Immediately put the candy in your mouth and enjoy the sweetness.

Then he asked Zeppetti, who was on the other side.

“Zepetti too?”

“…it looks like it might need some sugar.”

Soon after, Zeppetti, who clenched and inserted a blade into his forearm, approached Ray and took the candy.

“Fuheung.”

Ray laughs as he looks at Zeppetti, who suddenly puts the candy in his mouth.

Soon, Ray whispers to me with a sinister smile that is not like a child.

“From now on, I think I’ll just have to feed that guy some tasteless candy.”

“…”

It was not a very heroic remark.

After letting them rest for a while, I moved to a more secluded and quiet place in the forest.

Lately, I haven’t been paying attention to my growth.

Sitting on a suitable rock, I immediately checked the status window.

<Zeto> Lv.48

skills you have

-Ghost Sword Lv.28

-Sierra Ryu Reverse Heaven (Incomplete) Lv.6 – [Ghost Sword Art] effect is being applied

-Feeling Lv.5

– Weakness Detection Lv.MAX – [Eye patch that pierces reason] effect is being applied

-Night Vision Lv.MAX

-Acupuncture Lv.5

-Shade of Shadow Lv.MAX

-Surging Power Lv.1

Remaining Skill Points: 7

After wiping out the demons once and reaching level 45, the level went up and reached level 48.

A lot of skills have been developed in the past.

After talking with Zeppetti, I had time to think about the status window again, but nothing helped me grow as much as this.

However, questions remained about the crown, that is, the ‘eyepatch that pierces reason’.

Even so, I couldn’t just sit back and do nothing.

I’ve been investing skill points in demon swordsmanship from time to time enough to avoid Sierra’s suspicions.

So, Reverse Heaven reached level 6 not too long ago.

Finally, I was able to reach the next chapter of the reversal.

Unlike the time when I didn’t even understand what kind of technology it would be, now I was convinced that I could try it.

Sierra, who was watching me, stopped salivating and opened her mouth.

[Hmm… You look like you want to learn something. ]

“Can you see the expression…?”

[Huh, if you are a teacher, you can know everything. ]

Sierra crossed her arms and put on an arrogant expression.

Well, maybe it was about reading my realm.

“I’d like to learn the next chapter of Reversal soon…”

Now, the point at which I started to enter the middle of the ‘story’ as I knew it.

There were many things left in the future, but above all, the time to save Eisel was getting closer.

Around this time, I had made such a plan that it might be a good idea to learn Chapter 3.

[It’s been a long time since I’ve come to fulfill my duty as a teacher. ]

Sierra happily accepted my request.

Then, Sierra, who used the bluish moonlight to illuminate her purple eyes with a mysterious light, continues her explanation.

It tells the root of Yeokcheon again.

A swordsmanship to defeat the swordsman.

What kind of swordsmanship is that swordsman’s swordsmanship?

What kind of sword did Sierra have to struggle with to handle the swordsman?

The answer could be found by comparing it with the reverse stream.

Reverse Heaven was mainly equipped with anomalous properties.

The same goes for Chapter 3, which I will learn.

It had to be seen that Kaen, the disciple of the Sword Master, could not perfectly master the Sword Master’s swordsmanship yet.

So I was listening to Sierra’s explanation because I didn’t know the swordsman’s true skill.

Then, Sierra continues to say something rather shocking.

[If you ask how the inverse came to be like this… I’ll try to explain it briefly. To put it simply, the sword that the Sword Master is aware of will never reach him. never. ]

The attack you are aware of doesn’t reach you.

Although it was vaguely felt, the Sword Saint was a truly absurd human being.

Is that why he maintained his position as a swordsman despite his age?

It is said that Sierra’s Sierra Ryu Ja-wol was basically a sword that was focused on gently shedding the opponent’s sword, so there was not enough change.

He needed a sword that surpasses the cognitive powers of the swordsman, who has a keen sense to notice Sierra, who is only a spiritual body.

So Sierra chose to defy the laws of the world.

[Actually, chapter three. In a way, it’s simply a combination of chapters 1 and 2. But it’s only in Chapter 3 that you can finally point your sword at him. ]

1 check, 2 counter.

Attack in chapter 3.

“So what does Chapter 3 defy?”

I already had the contents in my head, but my question to create a natural situation continued quietly.

[Chapter 3 goes against ‘causation’. ]

Sierra’s voice continued again with a spleen look.

According to her explanation, Reverse Heaven Chapter 3 was a technique to go against the ’cause’ of ‘swinging the sword’ and reach the ‘result’ of ‘slashing’.

In short, the sword strike surged even though no action was taken.

‘Isn’t this a level beyond magic now…’

It seemed to have many uses.

However, I couldn’t feel it even after hearing the explanation of how to go against cause and effect.

I decided to give it a try once.

I felt that it would be possible now that I had reached level 6.

“…then you don’t have to draw the sword?”

[Chapter 3 doesn’t matter much whether you’re holding a sword or not. The point is that the effect appears when there is no action to cause it. ]

“Hmm…”

I left Sierra’s words behind and stood in front of a thick old tree nearby.

Then, he calmed down his breathing by simply placing his hand on the urethra ‘Sierra’.

If there was one thing that changed drastically after Reverse Heaven reached level 6, it was that now there was a way to cast Reverse Heaven without the need for a trigger, such as sweeping the blade separately.

I remember what I want to go against.

Causal.

I will pull out my sword and cut down the old tree in front of me without cutting it.

I was thinking about it.

A familiar feeling came to my body.

The flow of mana was twisted.

At the same time, red sword light flashes in the dark forest.

ㅡQuad Deuk!!!!

The thick pillars of the old tree are crushed at once.

The strange thing is that I still haven’t made any moves.

Without the cause of swinging the sword at the tree, I reached the result of cutting down the tree.

[Oh… you succeeded. Although it still lacks destructive power and is a bit slow… As expected, she is a disciple of the original woman. ]

Sierra, who was perched on a rock on the other side, gave me a satisfied smile, as if she believed.

It was hard to see that it was very natural to succeed in a new technique again in one attempt, but my achievements so far may have made it natural.

As I looked at the old tree that seemed to be about to break down, I felt a question.

He turned his head to Sierra and asked about it.

“By the way, Master, is Chapter 3 without any side effects? For now, I don’t feel any strain on my body.”

[That’s the strength of Chapter 3. Since there is no cause, there is no burden on the body…! ]

Sierra with raised lips.

But there seemed to be something hidden in her smile.

“There are really no side effects…?”

It was hard to believe that there were no side effects to the attack against the world’s law of cause and effect, which had destructive power in this anomaly.

[ …nothing. ]

just as expected.

There could be no side effects.

[It’s just a little bit of lightning, so don’t worry. Because I went against ‘causation’… I think it’s probably a punishment from heaven. ]

It’s just a little bit of lightning.

What does that mean?

“A lightning strike…?”

I asked again because I didn’t quite understand.

“I think it would be dangerous if hit…?”

Soon, Sierra opened her mouth with a funny expression.

[It hurts, but it won’t die. Still, isn’t it possible to avoid a lightning strike by running a little? ]

…It seems that Sierra has avoided lightning strikes by simply running.

Then Sierra looks up at the sky. Clouds were gathering in the dark sky.

[I wonder if it’s about time…]

And then he glances at me again.

[ …What are you doing, don’t run. ]

“With this joint battle, skipping class is possible? Is that true…?!”

Only Kali, who was scratching her rough beard at Kaen’s question, opened her mouth.

“Yeah, it’s possible anyway since it’s an interim inspection… but do you want to skip class with a joint battle? I don’t think it’s easy to stand out alone in a joint battle.”

At Innocence Academy, where classes are strictly based on grades, there was a class skipping system.

Well, that was only for those who were not lucky enough to be assigned to a class that suited their skills.

In addition, joint combat is literally fighting in harmony with the members of the crew. In such a situation, it would not be easy to skip a class while showing unrivaled skills alone.

“Ahahahaha, right? I just… asked if it was possible.”

Kaen, who was scratching her cheek, smiled shyly.

Kaen, who was acting like a fool as usual, had a plan.

The plan to skip the class to class A at once by carefully organizing the timing of hiding and revealing one’s strength.

This was her plan to reveal her strength during the main exam, but she couldn’t help it in order to get closer to Zeto.

She was feeling impatient while spying on Eisel and Yuri, who laughed and chatted naturally.

After sending Kaen away, only Kali, who was sitting on a chair, picks up a fountain pen.

Each cadet writes down something on the same piece of paper that had instructions written on it.

In the previous sparring with Zeto, it was only Kali who knew right away that Kaen was not C class’s ability.

Next to Kaen’s name, Kaliman writes a sentence.

‘It seems better to roughly skip the class and hand it over to Edward.’

Kaliman stretched out with a proud smile after writing such a sentence.

I don’t know why he hid his power, but it was Kaliman’s wise decision that a cadet who did such a thing would not be normal.

Guy above is actually right. What is the point of the MC acknowledging the master-disciple relationship if he gets everything be wants whenever he needs it.
    >”Forced emotional bullsh*t”
    Thats common decency and honor.

  2. simplethrone says:

    @D
No, it’d make sense if Zeto didn’t learn it for emotional reasons. He wanted to respect his teacher’s feelings. This created conflict, and in turn, creates a story. It creates tension. It’s not like there’re no reasons whatsoever, and it’s not like we’ll forever barred access to it. There are many ways this things could go.

For example, Sierra would see Zeto is fighting something beyond his league, and her swordsmanship isn’t enough, so she let her obsession go and let Zeto form the combined swordsmanship. Or, we’ll get Sierra specific heroine arc in where Zeto finally beats the Sword Saint and gained similar or comparable skill.

Those scenarios, or hell, any scenarios would be better than Zeto easily gets what he wants.

[The chapter 3 of reverse heaven]

    + Can cut without moving.
    – Got heaven punishment. On the good side it may cause an aoe damage so there’s a slight chance the enemy will also get damaged

  5. D says:

If the sword saints skill stops anything he can sense from touching him… then it’s f*cking moronic to not have the MC learn it. Sensing is literally his specialty.
Sierra should know this and want him to learn it to stay safe, and He (MC) should know this and want to learn it to protect the people around him and save Aisle.
It’s a glaring inconsistency – the MC seeks strength by any means but wont add the skill that would be perfect for him because… forced emotional bs, as if his master wasnt right there to be able to approve it if he asked.
And hed be able to learn it too cause he’d have skill points for it
