I Became a Blind Swordsman at the Academy chapter 77

77. curse

77. curse

There were various curses in this world.

From a light curse that makes you fall more than twice a day.

The degree of direct threat to life is right up to the heavy curse.

Among these countless curses, what kind of curse should it be… Can negative energy be felt in the heart?

‘In the first place, that kind of energy could be lurking in the body without even a hint…’

Could the curse be so secretive?

In general, these curses should have been considered black magic, but no matter how much I searched the books, I couldn’t find anything plausible.

‘If it’s not a simple curse…’

I thought while closing the book that contained information on black magic and curses.

Sudden death of ‘Krektar’.

Now that Zetto seems very likely to have something to do with this, I had to add one case count.

I quietly stood up from my chair, put the book back in its original place, and slowly moved my steps deeper into the library.

Every time I take a step, it feels like walking on a thorny floor.

Now, in the titles of the books that were visible around them, the word ‘Evil’ was written on them.

Yes.

…Even demons could be cursed.

If Zeto’s curse was a demonic curse, it would have to be seen as a much more serious problem than a black mage’s.

Most of their curses were life-threatening curses.

To be honest, the demon’s curse came to mind first, but I looked for black magic first, hoping that it would be a light curse.

While looking through the books with difficulty, I picked up a book with ‘The Curse of the Demons and the Magi’ written on it.

The book was quite thick.

Fortunately, it didn’t seem to be a book with security magic.

There were quite a few books in this large library that could be subject to security magic.

when was it

It reminds me of the old memory of visiting this library to find information about the Ludwig clan.

I was able to find a book related to it, but it was a memory that I was going to die because of the high level security magic.

‘Although I did find information about the clan in other ways after that.’

I returned to my seat with the book and put it down on the desk with difficulty.

I went straight through the book.

It could be said that it was like the curse of the demons, but all of them were extremely serious curses.

Even turning a page was painful.

Could this be the curse…

If it’s something like this…

It’s because the thought kept making a mess in my head.

Would Jeto know?

To have such a curse in one’s own body.

No, Jeto would surely know.

There was no way that Zeto, who had a knack for detecting things, was unaware of the energy he felt inside his body.

Even so…

he was smiling

smiled brightly at me

hugged me gently

sustained me

Was it all because of me in the end that this happened to Jeto?

—-Sure…

I was struggling to read the book.

Someone speaks to me quietly in a familiar voice.

“Eisel, can you see me from here?”

It was Yuri Clementine.

“Yes…”

I couldn’t say I was in a good mood, so I answered in a weak voice.

Yuri was uncomfortable in many ways.

She was a very different woman before and after Jeto appeared.

Even now, they seem to think of each other as not even close friends, but it was a very strange relationship, even saying that they weren’t close.

Neither she nor I were really friends, so maybe we weren’t sure how to treat each other.

Moreover, she was showing interest in Jetto.

It was quite annoying even in the previous episode and even now.

Soon after, Yuri glanced at the book I was reading and opened her mouth.

“curse…?”

“Oh, this…”

“Is there a curse you’re looking for separately?”

“…No, I’m just bored. What about you?”

I asked Yuri, who was holding a book.

What was in her arms was a slightly thick book with a title she had never seen before.

“A saint and a princess…”

Without much thought, I followed the title of the book Yuri was holding and read it.

Then Yuri slightly blushes and hugs the book even more.

Soon she opens her mouth.

“I-I read this when I was young, and I’ve been thinking about it lately… so…”

“When you were young?”

“…Hasn’t Eisel read this book? It’s a very famous fairy tale, so you must have read it at least once when you were young.”

“Fairy tales? Well, I don’t think he was very interested in fairy tales.”

“Ahh…”

He nodded his head with a puzzled expression at my answer.

In fact, rather than not being interested, there was no such thing as a ‘storybook’ in the place where I lived when I was young.

The only thing to read in the place where the demons were being experimented on was the writings of people embroidered on the walls containing their despair.

There were many letters written in blood among them.

One day, I remembered biting my finger and writing a word in blood to copy myself.

‘But what does ‘escape’ mean?’

I wrote down the words and asked the demon who was watching me.

‘Something you should never do.’

The guy glanced at the letter sullenly and replied.

Krektar then entered the room and saw the blood on my finger and nagged the demon next to him saying that it was not natural for me to do such a thing.

“……Isn’t it amazing?”

“…Sorry, I didn’t hear what you said.”

It’s been quite a while since I remembered my childhood memories, so I couldn’t hear Yuri’s words.

Immediately, Yuri let out a sigh.

“Whoa… do I really have to show that I’m not interested? I tried my best to explain it, so…”

It seems that this is the information that I finally found out, but it seems that Yuri Clementine is surprisingly still fond of fairy tales.

But, did fairy tales have to be hard to explain?

A little curious, I asked the rest of Yuri.

“…can you say it again?”

“… Since it’s called a curse, it just happened to appear in this children’s book, so it’s just…”

Yuri blurted out her words, as if she was ashamed.

But I got really curious.

“What curse?”

I’ve never read fairy tales, but I wonder if it’s okay for a curse to appear in books that children read.

“Was it a curse that shortened lifespan…? Originally, it was supposed to be applied to the princess… but the saint gets the curse instead.”

Yuri raised her eyes upward, searched for her memory, and answered.

“You receive a curse instead…?”

“Yeah, it’s a sad story…”

Yuri quietly answered my question, and finally opened the book she was holding.

“Here, this scene.”

Saying that, Yuri unfolded and showed me a specific page.

I read it slowly.

While reading the book, I came across something I wanted to ask Yuri about.

“This curse… is it a ‘real’ curse?”

“…Well? Why?”

“No… it’s a bit similar…”

“Is it similar?”

Yuri asked, but I became serious enough to be serious, and I kept my eyes on the sentences in the book while barely hiding my expression.

A curse was imprinted on the saint’s heart.

From now on, this curse will begin to eat away at his heart.

Even so, the saint was smiling quietly.

He was able to smile in relief at the fact that he was cursed, not the princess.

Those were the sentences.

If I wasn’t delusional, it looked pretty similar. I was especially concerned that the curse was engraved on my heart.

Whether that energy is a curse, or whether the curse in the fairy tale is real.

My head was complicated because I didn’t have any accurate information.

“…about this book, can I read it first?”

I asked Yuri that while closing the storybook.

It was because it was the book Yuri was holding.

At my question, Yuri stroked her braided hair.

It seems to be troubled.

How much did Yuri want to read this book?

“Because it sounds interesting. I’ve never read it before.”

“Hmm… I can’t help it because I’ve never read it. Then Eisel reads it first. I can read it later.”

“Yeah, thank you. But didn’t you say it was a children’s book? It’s thick, and it doesn’t look like a book that a child would read…”

“Ah, that’s… I think it’s remade so that even adults can read it. For example, an extended version…? It’s the same concept. I thought it was hard to find, but it happened to be in the library…”

“I’ll read it right away. It only takes a day.”

After finishing the conversation with Yuri, I left the library with two books.

One was a children’s book, and the other was a book containing information about the demon’s curse.

Make sure to read from noble mtl . com

Perhaps it was because I had been in the library for a long time, the sun had already set and the surroundings were dark.

A curse imprinted in the heart.

The curse gnaws away the lifespan.

The saint laughed because he accepted the curse on behalf of the princess.

I had no experience of being cursed by demons.

Rather, if the ‘regression’ that was created by their experiments was a curse to me, it was a curse.

Still, a bitter taste lingered in my mouth.

…Zeto.

why were you able to laugh?

***

“hahahaha…”

I laughed awkwardly and scratched my head.

A glass was visible in front of me.

It would be fine if only Yuri could be seen, but next to Yuri was a man with red hair the same color as hers.

He was red even to his well-groomed beard.

This man who looks a bit older with a taller impression…

“Yeah, I heard my daughter introduces her to a friend for some reason… I didn’t expect it to be a man.”

…was Yuri’s father.

The current head of the Clementine family of flames.

Geras Clementine.

“…How is it that I’m a man…!?”

Yuri, who was holding her hands together politely, stuttered and got angry at Xerath.

“Now then, can you tell me what you liked about our daughter? As Yuri’s father, I really want to hear it.”

Xerath listened to Yuri’s words in one ear, let them go, then turned his head away from her and stared at me.

He had his arms crossed, and he was clearly smiling, but his voice emanated a sense of intimidation.

First day of the open class period.

The way the word urethra is being used in the story always makes me laugh XD

  2. Sareza says:

    Shortening lifespan?
I’m pretty sure there was no side-effect in the Tears, just that it can be used by an undead to increase regeneration, a dragon to increase lifespan for a couple decades, and a human to be able to revive once after death.

  3. MrPojsomnoj says:

Still it cute that she found clue in children book. But probably it was written by some geeky seer who used her future vission to find real love stories…

  4. Guidelines says:

I’m guessing the curse of shortening his lifespan is probably the skills he has when he uses second skill of his urethra👌

  5. Insufferable says:

There’s also the fact that the saint was ‘resurrected by god’. Damn good parallels.

  6. Drakensji says:

Wow, it seems Zeto has a lot in common with the fairy tail saint. Im guessing that the saint did the same thing as Zeto and got the tears engraved in his heart, shortening the lifespan but allowing ressurection on death
