“Uh, what is that… .”

Armin’s supply officer said.

Elric’s answer to that was the same as before.

He had a bright face as if he was saying something really obvious.

“Is there a problem? From our point of view, the most reasonable seller is not the empire. Or can Armin meet the same conditions?”

There was no way it was possible.

Aside from everything else, Armin didn’t have as much budget as Empire.

Why is an empire an empire? It is an empire because it has a doubling advantage over other countries in terms of power and wealth, even after leaving such a large land mass.

In the end, there was only one thing that Armin’s supply officer could do.

“Yeah, that’s not destroying the market! It’s about setting a bad precedent! Why don’t you know that forcing the purchaser to bear the distribution cost will hurt Wee Bin in the long run!”

It was definitely something that could happen.

However, there was no one here who did not know that his words were full of loopholes.

It was Polo that came out.

“joy! It’s ridiculous to worry that the entire market will collapse with just one transaction here. In the first place, the wheat import competition ends here. Besides, it’s an exhibition situation right now. It is because of this uniqueness that the Empire made a decision. Let’s try this again next year! Who will buy the wheat of the estate?”

“Can’t you take into account that we will be at war next year too?!”

“Can you bet that next year the battlefield will be frozen as it is now?”

“that… !”

There was no

The situation on the battlefield was going to the extreme with the destruction of Chebor.

Most of those who could see the battlefield did.

Half a year at the most, more than half of the countries currently at war would have been destroyed by that time.

“Is the story over?”

At Elric’s question, Armin’s supply officer couldn’t do anything other than tremble.

Something is terribly wrong.

The moment he thought about it, his gaze headed towards Tyria.

“What do you think, Mrs. Do you think this deal is right?!”

Clearly, that clumsy young boy said it with his own mouth.

His wife is said to be the real authority of this territory.

Then it was judged that she was the only place to cling to, but… .

“… If that is the decision of the family head, then I will have to follow it.”

She closed her eyes and replied.

Armin’s supply officer widened his eyes with a red face.

The fact that his emotions were intensifying was shown by the veins of blood that rose to the whites of his eyes.

“Hmm, as soon as we arrived, the work was over. I wanted to get a little intoxicated with my country taste.”

Polo’s words were clearly smirking.

The attitude of Elric in answering him was the same.

“Anyway, the train will soon be cut off. Get a night’s sleep and go.”

“Thank you for the favor. However, as a soldier in a country at war, it is unacceptable to seek personal comfort. I will leave on the last train.”

Give or receive, the words come and go.

It shouldn’t end like this, but there was no card to change the situation.

Even Disha’s supply officer was sympathizing with him, showing signs of resignation.

“Ugh, lack of information. This is our defeat. The meal was delicious. We are leaving today as well.”

“Look!”

“Armin, let’s go there.”

rattle-

Armin’s supply officer shuddered.

The appearance of Disha’s supplier was so formidable.

“Do whatever you do on the road in moderation. Disha is a country of knights. We are learning to value honor and accept victory or defeat with the attitude of a true soldier.”

“I, I… .”

“Remember. That this is the last time we face each other without drawing our swords.”

What he said was indeed right.

Although the frontlines are far apart from each other, Armin and Disha eventually had to cross swords as the war intensified.

Even in such a situation, the reason why the two do not take each other’s neck is one.

This is because this is a foreign country, and you cannot make a fuss by coming to another country as a representative of the country.

“Then it seems to have been sorted out.”

Even as the situation went out of control, there was nothing Armin’s supply officer could do.

I can only let out a scream inside.

Wrong.

Even if such a one-sided transaction goes wrong, if it goes wrong for a long time, there is no chance to correct it.

‘how… !’

From noble mtl dot com

How ugly would it be to remain alone between the two vendors who were about to leave today as if they had been concocted?

It goes beyond ugliness and becomes an example.

Considering diplomatic relations, it was already clear that he could not do such a thing as Armin’s representative, so Armin’s Quartermaster lowered his head.

It was a rout.

*

Seeing the backs of the three Quartermasters leaving, Elric let out a long breath.

‘I think I just want to hit my head.’

I really don’t like the back of the head of a man who is skinny like a scarecrow.

However, taking the lead in such feelings will only make Tyria difficult.

The policy he came up with was instigation.

Using Polo, he twisted the direction of the transaction, and used Disha’s view of supply to turn that opinion into a flow. Of course, the process was conducted by Polo.

Anyway, I had to send 10% of the wheat to Disha for such double work… At the level of Portman’s manor, there couldn’t be that burden.

The burden of external distribution costs would be borne by the empire.

“house owner.”

Tyria opened her mouth.

“Is this what the head of the house did?”

Elric’s eyes shook violently.

“Uh, hmm?”

I wonder why the arrow suddenly came back this way, and panic comes to mind.

Meanwhile, Tyria lowered her eyes and replied.

“I see.”

It was a kind attitude.

Elric felt his heart skip a beat.

“What are you talking about? I’m fine… .”

“I didn’t know there was a relationship with the empire.”

Did you overhear the conversation with Polo?

It was a moment when a sense of crisis swept over his body.

“Didn’t you make friends with people from the Empire during your wandering life? That’s the only way to explain their goodwill.”

“ah… !”

“Armin’s Quartermaster didn’t seem to notice because he was flustered, but I could see that the two of you were conspiring. Sorry if I’m mistaken… .”

“No, that’s right! In fact, when I stopped by the Empire, there was a time when I got acquainted with the nobles there!”

Cold sweat broke out on Elric’s back.

It was fortunate that I didn’t have to struggle to come up with an excuse.

What comes to mind is the words of Elbus Graham.

-There are times when those who believe in their own competence are buried in their speculation. When a sudden or incomprehensible situation comes, we weave cause and effect with the clues revealed to make it understandable. In that case, the guess is usually wrong. I too had the same experience.

Tyria’s competence led her into a trap.

Whatever it was, it was a good thing for Elric.

“I hope I have something to introduce you to next time.”

“Mmm, yes. Shall we go in now?”

“Okay.”

Elric breathed a sigh of relief when Tyria turned to the mansion first.

‘This is the end.’

The crisis of being discovered was safely passed.

I won’t have to go through something like this for a while now.

When the tension is released, the body loses strength.

Elric patted his aching knee and followed her into the mansion.

*

Polo returned to the capital of the Mahir Empire.

A city of steel and steam, a vast land that deserves to be called the heart of this continent.

The majesty of the huge fortress makes the scenery of Wibin more idyllic.

After a while, Polo pulled out a note from his bosom.

‘Will this really work?’

Polo swallowed dry saliva.

The note was a letter scrawled roughly on a piece of paper that Kasha had torn.

The place to deliver this letter is none other than the Graham family’s mansion.

The addressee was Elvus Graham.

Polo arrived at the Grahams’ mansion with doubts.

“What did you come for?”

“Paulora Hao, the third son of Count Notem. I have come to meet Lord Elbus.”

“Do you have any prior arrangements?”

“No, but this is really… It is urgent.”

Is it not okay too?

It was a moment to think.

“Okay, follow me. Since you don’t have any plans today, let me ask you a question.”

Polo was a little shocked that he could meet so easily.

Even though he is an illegitimate child, isn’t Elberse Graham one of the top three prospects in the system?

Meeting him like that is the end of randomly visiting him and asking for it.

Perhaps it all felt like a joke between Katya and Elbus Graham.

It was right after.

“A guest? Also from the Notem family?”

A sound leaked from the closed drawing room.

“Hmm… well, that’s good It was good because I was free at the time. Let me in.”

It was the same beautiful voice as it was five years ago.

Polo shuddered at the thought of what happened at the banquet five years ago.

kiik-

The door is open.

“Notem Youngshi… No, Quartermaster.”

Beyond the door was a man in a wheelchair.

The backlight from the window made it hard to see his features clearly.

Just dazzling platinum hair and golden eyes as if melted gold.

And only the neutral silhouette cluttered the polo’s vision.

“Why did you come all the way here?”

Polo swallowed dry saliva.

“Long time no see. It’s not my difference… I was asked to write a letter.”

That’s how Kasha’s letter was delivered to Elbus Graham.

Polo, who wanted to finish his business quickly and go back, could not figure out many things.

In his nervousness, he heard only one thing.

“Khah… !”

It was a laugh.

“I wondered where this friend was doing, and he was enjoying a vacation in a corner like this.”

With his head raised, Polo could see.

Above the mysterious handsome man’s lips, a mischievous smile hung just like that of young boys.

Wow, this Elbus guy is really amazing. He realized the truth that the ‘genius’ nobles in the academy novels couldn’t. I often get headaches when I recall those damn misunderstandings, how could they come up with such stupid and irrational illusions? Only a handful of novels do well in that section, and others just try miserably to imitate. Uhhh…
