MTL is quite fine. I guess @Insufferable has never see starting novel MTLs a few years back. It has evolved to such a degree that we can understand 95%+ content directly by MTL.

Anyways, story is fine. It has some forces misunderstandings and drama. It’s fine overall but the biggest problem is the padding. Game is spanning over 4-5 years and even in 70 chapters only a few months passed since game started.

Problem here is that it’s one of the few Korean novel which seems to be able to go beyond 500 chapters. If padding was even a little less I would have recommended this novel easily but now when barely anything happens in the plot for so many chapters I don’t recommend wasting time on this one.

Another minor problem is the overused Academy tropes. We have a Grandma soul, Powerful Principal, Princess who hates MC in start, sister who wants to kill him for first 60 chapters, and everyone treating MC as a pest. Due to all this MC becomes a retard too as he is not even looking ways to solve the game and get out but is thinking of distant future where he have become a Sage and people who hated him groveling infront of him. It feels strange to see this, there is no tension of going back and he is too bound to Academy rules as he is not thinking even a bit outside the box. Some other MC would have started getting help of some adventurers to get some of end game loot or use their knowledge to earn big money outside the Academy but here our MC is not using his game knowledge but the knowledge he got from studying Alchemy a lot.

He is so useless in using game elements that I kind of forgets if he was even possessing a game character. He could have at least used the knowledge of future to invest into some person or company or gain some great items. But in 80 chapters none of this happened.
