In this context tho, Romantic thief here does not really mean love, it pretty much just means fantastic thief. At least that’s how I learned its used.

This leads the MC to become a phantom thief, stealing these powerful items.

At the start, the MC is weak, but as the goddess’s power increases, so does his own. This keeps the MC from becoming overpowered. Unlike famous phantom thieves like Kaito Kid, the MC makes mistakes and faces numerous challenges, especially in a world transitioning from a medieval fantasy to a steam age setting.

While the story is set in an academy, the main focus is on the MC and his phantom thief activities. However, the academy setting still allows him to interact with the original main cast.

Romantic elements are hinted at, with the goddess encouraging the MC to build a harem, although he isn’t particularly interested in that. The writing is pretty good, and what drew me to this story was its unique concept, as phantom thief novels are not very common. Overall, I recommend giving it a read.

It starts off pretty good, but after chapter 90, i think author lost his initial idea, because it turns into a usual academy novel, there aren’t any heist that showcase good tricks like the early chapter, even mc only use his phantom thief persona to just sneaking around eavesdropping other people
