The Main Heroines are Trying to Kill Me chapter 505

The Main Heroines are Trying to Kill Me 505

– Kwok…!

“…Khak.”

Serena, holding her arms by her subordinates, clenched her teeth and trampled Frey’s head, which was lying on the floor.

“Please calm down!!”

“Put this down. I’m going to kill this bastard today.”

“No!! You know what’s going to happen if that happens!!”

The subordinates tried to tear Serena apart, but there was determination in her eyes.

“I’ll take all the blame. You just have to testify that I killed him.”

“Selena-sama!!”

“Actually, this wasn’t the first time I tried to kill him.”

Saying that, Serena looked down coldly at Frey, who was wriggling on the floor, vomiting blood.

“I’ve poisoned you dozens of times, cursed you, and tried to assassinate now, I can’t count.”

“Ugh…”

“But that demon-like guy, for some reason, is continuing his life with that insect-like vitality.”

“……”

“Like an asshole, without knowing how badly his existence affects the world.”

After exhaling hard for a long time, Frey hears her muttering, full of poison, and eventually loses consciousness.

– Crazy…!

“So, I have no choice but to use my hands before it’s too late.”

Serena presses Frey’s head with her feet once again.

– It’s hard….

“I warn you. Stop, everyone, step back.”

At the same time, when a terrifying life begins to erupt from her body, the men holding Serena begin to retreat one by one.

“The poisons and curses you put your hands on should have taken effect by now.”

After everyone stepped back, Serena forcibly tilted her droopy head back and started whispering coldly.

“But seeing that he’s wandering around like this, he must have sacrificed his soul to the devil.”

“……..”

“Well, it doesn’t matter.”

A sharp blade protrudes from the fan she pointed at Frey’s neck.

“No matter how much you are, if your throat is pierced in this place, you will have no choice but to die.”

The moment Serena said that, she was about to shove a knife into Frey’s white neck.

“Please let me go to hell, Frey…”

– Crackle…

“Hmm?”

Pretending to be popular behind her.

“I should have told you not to come…”

Serena, who muttered in a venomous voice that was different from usual, looked back while exhaling life.

“…ah?”

Her eyes then fluttered open.

“……..”

“Princess?”

For some reason, Clana, who appeared from behind, was approaching her with a firm expression.

“Princess, how are you here…”

“That’s not for you to know.”

Serena’s men, who were trying to approach Clana urgently, stopped at her resolute words.

“Serena, that’s enough. Stop it and step back.”

“Ha, but…”

“Please.”

As soon as Clana said that, Serena shut her mouth and began to make complicated expressions.

“…I will interrogate myself.”

– Sureung…

Then, after hearing Clana’s confident voice, she reluctantly picks up the cutlery and bows her head.

“Excuse me.”

And after a while, she bows her head, says so, and quietly leaves the interrogation room.

“No, but… How did the princess get here?”

“Didn’t you come with the Archmage?”

“Idiot, they were with us.”

“Well, then how…?”

Eventually, with a blank expression on her face, her subordinates, who were talking about Clana’s sudden appearance, leave the room one by one.

“……..”

Soon, silence began to flow in the interrogation room.

“Ugh.”

“…Frey.”

In that silence, Clana looked around for a moment and then started pouring the potion she had in her arms into Frey’s mouth.

“Cool, cool…”

After a few minutes passed, Frey regained consciousness with a dry cough and turned to Clana.

“…After all, am I still being scared today?”

For a moment, a confused look passed on Frey’s face, but it was Frey who asked that question with a playful expression on his face.

.

“You have defiled the innocent princess, so you are a traitor.”

“It was the innocent princess who gave me such an order, but…”

“…they’ll come to an agreement.”

It was always a joke, but Clana’s expression was very dark unlike Frey’s.

“Anyway, you’re really selfish.”

“Okay, how did this all come about?”

After seeing the situation and realizing that the situation was not serious, Frey quietly smiled.

“…how did you get here?”

“I teleported.”

“Are you already able to use teleportation magic by yourself?”

Then, after hearing Clana’s words, he widens his eyes and asks.

“But how the hell do you know…”

– Sreuk…

“…oh.”

Eventually, when an old diary pops out of Clana’s arms, Frey gives a blank expression.

“I must have put it in a drawer…”

“He was flirting alone at his desk.”

“Ugh.”

Hearing this, Frey groaned briefly, and Clana, who had been lying on the floor, put her head on her lap, and added:

“It’s no use trying to hide it. I’ve read almost everything in the diary.”

“……..”

“And, I also compared it with the ‘original’ next to it.”

“……..!”

“You’ve really changed a lot.”

Frey and Clana’s gazes intersect quietly with each other.

“You stopped my runaway. Thanks to you, I didn’t become the emotionless tyrant written in this diary.”

“No, you weren’t like that…”

“You saved the Empire from defeat and humiliating negotiations. And you saved the princess who was destined to die without knowing the truth.”

“Princess.”

“Besides, the contents of the diary changed because of you… The number of times that distant despair turned into a shining hope… I can’t even say it all with my mouth now.”

Clana said so.

“So, please answer me.”

“……..”

“You’re the one who changed the contents of this diary over and over until now.”

Ask the question in a trembling voice.

“Can you even change the last story in this diary?”

“yes?”

Hearing those words, Frey reached out to his diary with a bewildered expression on his face.

“…under.”

After reading the last page of his diary for a moment, he sighed and answered.

“I’m sorry, Princess. This has changed.”

“……..”

“If you’ve read the original, you’d know. The end of the original diary, how gruesome and terrifying…”

“So, is this your final plan?”

Clana, who unconsciously swallowed dry saliva, asked, closing her eyes tightly.

“As it is written in this diary. Is it really what you want to disappear, overshadowing all hatred and slander?”

“Princess.”

Then, holding her hand softly, Frey whispered helplessly.

“On the hills of my hometown, pretty evening primroses bloom around this time of year.”

“What are you talking about?”

“And on the other side, a dazzling sunrise blooms.”

Frey’s eyes look at Clana, who doesn’t know the English language, and her eyes are young.

“I can’t forget the oath we made to each other as we watched the moon rising in the sky, playing with our childhood friend in that garden until late at night.”

“……..”

“Likewise, I can’t forget the oath of allegiance I made to my young lord while kneeling in that garden.”

After saying that, Frey smiled brightly.

“If you can survive, if you can live your life instead of me. I’m satisfied with that.”

After speaking with a pale face, Frey closed her eyes and muttered.

“By the way, am I lying on the princess’s lap right now?

“…Your heart is so cold.”

Clana turned her head away from him, forcibly swallowed the cry that was about to burst out, and touched Frey’s heart.

“I can quench the cold with my solar mana. So…”

“Please don’t. This curse is part of you.”

But Frey politely removed her hand.

“With this, you can fight on an equal footing with the Demon King.

“Devil…”

Clana heard the name and quietly brushed her teeth.

“By the way, today was the day the Demon King declared war. It’s good that you have received the curse in advance.”

“…Stop it.”

“yes?”

“Stop it!”

Then, suddenly, she grabbed Frey’s collar and started shouting in an angry voice.

“Please stop!!”

“what…”

“Now please, stop doing this…”

Tears began to fall from her eyes, falling on Frey’s chest, which had been torn from curses and poison.

“Why the hell, until my body becomes like this…”

“It’s because I’ve been holding Serena’s poison and curse since I was little. It seems it’s spread a bit these days…”

“You could only pretend to be hurt!!”

“It’s very difficult to deceive her. There’s really no way to deal with it other than getting hurt in person…”

“Then you!”

As Clana’s cry echoed through the room, Frey spoke in a crawling voice, avoiding her gaze.

“I’m the one who will disappear anyway… I don’t care about this…”

“Don’t say that!”

“…Princess, it’s time to go soon.”

Then, he pats Clana on the back and whispers, burying his head in his arms and crying.

“Now, you will have to stay away from me for a while. Me and the servants have to go to the outskirts, and the princess must protect the Imperial Palace…”

“no!!”

“This is not the time to be foolish.”

Still, when Clana shook her head violently and did not release the hug, Frey sighed and spoke.

“People are coming. If you delay further, you may be caught.”

“…I’ll change it.”

Just then, Clana slowly raised her head and began to speak in a determined voice.

“Just as you changed the contents of the diary and saved me, I will also change the last page of the diary.”

“……..”

“So wait. Don’t die.”

Clana, covered in tears, finished her speech with a cold expression on her face.

“It’s a command.”

Frey, who was wiping her tears with her hand, tried to say something with a bitter expression on her face.

“…All right.”

After changing his words, he quietly nodded and embraced Clana.

“Is it a promise…?”

“You’re also kind, Princess.”

That was their last conversation that year.

.

“…Should I attack you now? No, I’m still a princess.”

“………”

When Clana came out of the interrogation room, she saw Serena, who was restless and wandering around.

“Oh, Princess!”

And after a while, Serena stopped in front of her and gave a surprised expression.

“You’re safe! I’m glad…”

“……”

“It’s taking too long, so I don’t think I should go inside…”

“For now, let’s get out of this nasty place.”

“Ah yes.”

Clana, who moved out with her like that, quietly looked up at the sky.

“It’s already morning…”

Just as Clana said in a sleepy voice, the sun was rising.

“Princess, please stop forgetting the very unfortunate thing that happened today.”

After reading Clana’s dark expression as she looked at the sun, Serena comforted her with a low voice.

“The Empire is victorious, and there will be no more trials.”

“……..”

“The nerd who ate the empire was imprisoned on the fringes, the nobles were all cooperative, and the forces of evil were uprooted.”

By the time that voice changed to a tone of certainty.

“From now on, for the Empire and the Princess, only glory…”

– Whoa!!

“Well?”

Out of nowhere, an owl flies to her.

“Emergency call…? But, there’s nothing like that…”

With a puzzled expression on her face, she accepted the letter the owl was biting.

“………!?!?”

Soon, Serena took a step backwards with an astonished expression on her face.

“The Demon King…? Declaration of war…?”

“… Serena-san, I’m sorry.”

Clana’s lips, who muttered while looking at Serena like that, trembled with tension.

“Hey, this can’t be true… Uh, something’s wrong…”

“This is the beginning.”

The torn pages of the old diary in her hand were quietly fluttering in the wind.

too bad for y’all i can’t get enough of this, seriously love this

Noobsama isn’t wrong here though. Had this comment been on some earlier chapter (chapters when ordeals & repetitive plot made sense since story wasn’t finished & even in different timelines & regression, the life events (fated events) are meant to happen like backstories of everyone, demon lord declaring war & several other events of course) I would’ve considered Noobsama being a prick always complaining but this is epilogue so author didn’t need to do all this.

However, the repetitive plot really makes sense due to regression as I explained above. If the events were too different it would create all sorts of problems & inconsistency for Frey & girls as well as author & us readers. Noobsama will then complain even more about plot being inconsistent no matter how interesting it would be lol. This inconsistency would make the story badly written it would seem like new & unexpected things are happening out of the blue ALL the time to justify Frey & girls’ actions.
Which is why I believe regression stories are best written with same/similar events happening & changing stuff slightly/sometimes event drastically in each timeline. This way things are consistent & interesting as well. And author (although not perfect) manages to do all of the above stuff nicely.

However, there was no need to put another ordeal in the epilogue. It could’ve been something different as ordeals are over & this “initial dummy data” ordeal seems an asspull rather than a fitting plot twist. Plot twists were properly done most of the times in the main story but not done here in epilogue. So yeah, Noobsama is right here, author should’ve just stuck to wholesome happy end not this asspull ordeal plot that’ll lead to final happy end.

Noob Nah, you should be the one who stop reading at this point.
Your nonstop complains is so annoying

  4. Noobsama says:

Nahh Author should stop writing at this point…even if story it just repetitive of same BS agony over and over again and just switch thing around.

  5. BruhGuy says:

The author should have at least made up some kind of penalty
