Even Though I Was Reincarnated I Am Suffering Because of Yanderes chapter 3

Even Though I Was Reincarnated I Am Suffering Because of Yanderes 3

3 – 3 – A man should prepare his own food.

In the kitchen of the large Frizetts’ mansion,

Bubbling,

“Master, let me do it!”

My maid obstructs me again today.

“No, how many times have I said I’m okay!”

Despite repeating this several times,

every day, she interrupts me in the same restless state.

“Bu, but…”

To her, who is still making a dissatisfied face,

I gave a spoonful of the contents of the bubbling pot.

“Just taste it.”

“I… How could I dare!”

Every day she declines.

“Oh dear, just try it, will you?”

“Yes, well then… If it’s not too much to ask…”

And in the end, she always takes it.

You’re wondering what is happening now?

Before I explain the current situation,

I must talk again about my past life.

However, this time it’s a story about my second life.

As I mentioned before, a man must be strong. Every time I trained, the knight who aided me in my exercises never spared me their admiration and praise. My swordsmanship grew increasingly proficient, enough to earn recognition from her—a half-human, half-dragon of extraordinary strength. The reason for my success lay heavily in the influence of my second life. Taking the bitter end of my first life as a lesson, I lived without easily giving smiles or laughter to women. And I also cultivated my strength. No, rather, given the world I was born into, I had to cultivate it. The sort of world where… this too was a world right out of a novel. Born into a martial arts realm, my family was none other than the illustrious Nangong clan! Despite carrying with me the awful memories of my first life, the favorable conditions of my family background among other factors allowed me. In this life, harboring the dream of becoming the unrivaled Swordmaster under the heavens, I was able to make a new beginning. Though my grandfather, the previous head of the family, had retreated from the world, during his heyday, he was revered as the Sword Saint throughout the martial arts world.

He was a legendary figure who dropped names.

The current head of Namgung Segae, my father, was the leader of the Martial Alliance!

However.

Being born into such a prestigious family meant headaches were inevitable,

Wouldn’t there be family politics and succession fights in the family?

But there was no need to worry.

My father was only loyal to my mother,

Therefore, he had no concubines and I was his only son.

Therefore, I was the sole heir of the household on whom the whole love and teachings of my grandfather and father could be concentrated.

No, how could this be endured?

The end of my first life was so damned

I thought it was correct to say that God sent me here to reward me.

No.

I had thought.

Until the damned thing happened.

He coughed! He coughed!

I felt a little sick and

I had vomited something momentarily.

When I checked what I had vomited, it was dark red blood.

And my vision was getting blurry

And my body was losing its strength gradually.

“Why… why on earth…”

Until before I drank the tea in front of me,

My body was perfectly fine.

Then the cause must be this tea.

The bitch who gave it to me is either angry or sad, I don’t know.

After dinner, while leisurely walking under the moonlight…

Because the young lady of the Sachondang family whom I met by chance invited me for a cup of tea…

Although I wanted to refuse,

I couldn’t bear the thought of being rumored as the heartless son of the martial world’s leader,

or tarnishing the reputation of my grandfather, father, and our family’s name.

I had no choice but to accept.

All I had planned was to politely have a cup of tea and then take my leave.

Poisoned, you say? Damn…

I was aware they were a family known for using poison,

but I placed my trust in them, believing they were upright—it was a mistake.

No, more than that,

to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings.

I hardly ever smile, and even less so at women.

Why did I have to attract the attention of this madwoman?

Cough! Cough!

I gathered my inner strength, but it was futile against the potent poison.

“This is all because of you, young master!!”

Damn.

What kind of nonsense is this?

“What, what are you talking about…”

“You clearly said I was beautiful!”

No.

Should I say your face was like a strict confucian scholar?

As I’ve mentioned before,

My father is the head of the Nangong family and the current leader of the martial arts world.

Therefore, he had many meetings with various clan leaders,

So naturally, he had no choice but to meet many candidates for succession,

But they couldn’t openly laugh or smile.

[Oh, Your Scholarly Highness, you are beautiful.]

[Your Scholarly Highness, you look like a painting today!]

They praised me like this.

[Ha ha. Thank you. You all are beautiful too.]

I had no choice but to give lip service as a form of thanks, right?

“That.. That is.. Cough! Cough!”

You are not my type in the first place!

I wanted to scream at the bitch in front of me.

Cough! Cough!

Just like in my first life,

I could not say it all to the end.

Cough! Cough!

I had no strength to speak,

Because my life was ending.

“Ha.. Ha.. I don’t care anymore.. It’s fine if..I become a corpse..”

Slowly..

In my last moments, it seemed as though she was touching my body, but

I could not fathom beyond those memories of my second life.

.

.

.

Due to the terrible end of that second life.

I did not treat women kindly.

Naturally, I refused all invitations and promises.

Thankfully, I belonged to a cold northern duchy.

Being the second son of the frigid Frigid family.

There was little backlash against my refusals.

And then,

the eating and drinking, which were the main causes of death in my second life.

I was vigilant about everything that entered my mouth.

Even if it was food prepared by the family’s chef.

Of course, when I was very young,

I had no choice but to accept whatever was given.

But I, who was more thorough than anyone else,

always made sure, before eating,

that my personal maid tasted it first.

I found it hard to trust women outside the family,

but as she had been my maid since my youth, I could somewhat trust her.

Hence, I confidently delegated the role of tasting my food before I ate it to her.

As soon as I was of an age to act independently,

I stopped eating the meals provided by the family’s chef.

I cooked for myself.

At first, my parents and sister were horrified and tried to stop me.

But who was I?

Nobody can stop me.

That’s why, even at this hour, I’m preparing the dish myself.

“Try this too.”

“Gulp! Understood, young master.”

I was having the maid test for poison, just in case the ingredients might be tainted.

“How is it?”

“It’s delicious!”

“No, not that. Don’t you notice anything strange?”

“Strange? What do you mean?”

*Sigh* Forget it.

It seems the ingredients are all right after all.

Just a little more, and the dish will be ready.

Emma, the personal maid of Edward, the second son of the northern Grand Duke of Preigarde.

Today, she felt exceedingly happy.

Of course, she was worried in the morning when it seemed the young master had screamed because of a nightmare,

but seeing him cooking safely in the kitchen now was a relief.

“Try this too.”

Oh, how can he be so considerate?

Just watching him cook is enough to confirm his masculinity.

The considerate young master always entrusted her with the task of tasting the dishes first. And. Before he took up cooking himself, during his childhood, to look after her, he would allow her a taste under the pretense of checking for poisons – a fanciful excuse indeed. Who would dare lace the table of Friged with poison? Surely, this too was a deliberate act of consideration on his part. As a child, the young master used to share his food with her. Now, she had the privilege of eating the meals he personally prepared. Every day! For the first time! For this reason, everyone in the household could not help but envy her. Each day, the young master would insist that she taste the food as he cooked. Emma wanted to accept the dish right away, but considering her position and her desire to see the young master’s sheepish reaction, she would always politely decline at first.

“No, go ahead, just try some…” While to others it might appear an irritable insistence, Emma, having served the young master for so long, knew better. She recognized that in offering the food to her again, he was earnestly trying to overcome his shyness.

‘Ah! Such an endearing master!’ She had been his personal maid since childhood. With a mother who was the personal maid to the Grand Duke, she too had begun serving the household from a tender age. However, inheriting her father’s frail disposition rather than her mother’s resilience, her childhood self frequently found it difficult to cope and would easily become disheartened. Worried that she might turn into a burden to her mother…

It was a day like any other, filled with worry and maximum caution.

SPLASH!

“Ah.. Ah!!”

“You fool! What are you doing?”

It was a mistake.

She had tripped while moving a bucket filled with water for cleaning.

Unfortunately, she had spilled it all over Master Kong, who just happened to be passing by at that moment.

“Ouch..”

“I’m so sorry, Master Kong! I’m so sorry!”

Regrettably, the Duke and her mother were standing right next to him.

‘Oh no.. because of me.. our family..’

They’d receive punishment.

She couldn’t help but detest herself at the moment.

Please, if only they spared her life…

“Mother.”

Was she about to order for her execution?

Master Kong looked extremely uncomfortable.

“Come to think of it, you said you were assigning a personal servant, didn’t you?”

From Noble mtl dot com

A personal servant? Why would he mention that all of a sudden?

“Let’s go with her.”

“What!!”

“Master Kong!?”

She couldn’t help but be very shocked upon hearing this,

and her mother flanking her was equally stunned.

The Duke, accepting Confucius’ request, took a moment to think.

“My son, you are indeed kind. I allow it.”

He said this while patting Confucius on his head.

“No way! No one should fall because of me, a mere servant!”

Confucius protested, brushing away the Duke’s hand. However, Emma could not help but agree with the Duke’s words.

“But this guy looks rather vacant, so if I must, I will rely on him.”

He didn’t blame them for their mistakes, but instead accepted them despite their shortcomings! This day was one Emma could never forget in her lifetime. A moment when she met her master, whom she had decided to dedicate everything to.

“Phew…”

Finally, it was done.

Since the manor’s unsuspecting maid tasted it, there definitely wouldn’t be any poison.

Of course, it was unthinkable that anyone in the Duke’s household would do something as insane as that.

But one could never know what life would bring.

This meal was also perfect. There was no need to worry about being poisoned.

As expected.

A man should cook his own food.

  1. So… Grace the dragon and Lilith sister were left in the first reincarnation? Maybe he reincarnated to the same world?

    1. A says:

Apparently he’s reincarnated multiple times before becoming the second son of a duke. Although, I don’t know if it’s because of MTL or if the author just worded it poorly, it seemed like this was his second and only reincarnation in previous chapters.

    2. Aarin says:

The first life he was in a modern world and was stabbed by a classmate and in the second life he was born into a murim like world where he was poisoned by a girl. His current life is in a completely new world and he did not reincarnate in the same world.
