Genius Warlock chapter 5

Genius Warlock 5

5. Temporary Disciple (2)

said the male supervisor.

“What do you care?”

The female supervisor answered.

“I don’t care because I’m the same supervisor as you. You can’t be rude.”

“under-! Same supervisor? Same supervisor!!”

“okay. Same supervisor.”

The woman spoke without losing, but the mood was not at all.

Dozens of people looked worried as if the female supervisor had made a mistake. Oliver, who was not aware of this situation, could not understand well what had happened.

“It looks like you haven’t figured out the situation yet, haven’t you heard that I will become an official disciple soon?”

“It’s just a rumor.”

“Just a rumor? I heard it directly from my master. No, there is no need for rumors, you can tell just by looking at my skills.”

With those words, the male supervisor gathered black lights in both hands. It was a small and unstable light that was pitiful compared to Joseph.

The others, however, stepped back in fear, with the only female supervisor standing proudly.

“Being an official disciple is only for the master to decide. But what will the master do if he finds out that you are running wild without knowing the subject?”

When Joseph came out, the heated atmosphere subsided even more. The male supervisor, who looked as fierce as a bulldog, frowned as if he was disgusted, but nevertheless, his hostility towards the female supervisor did not disappear.

“okay·····. Master will decide. at the end of this month. If I become an official disciple, then I wonder how you will behave… Hey, what are you doing? Without starting to clean up.”

The male supervisor ordered his workers to clean up. Then the workers began to move like puppies with their tails on fire.

Oliver, as usual, hid his presence and got out of the hustle and bustle, and he would have waited for it to disappear and quiet down normally, but not today.

Instead, he waited on one side of the hallway and waited for the female supervisor who had helped him before to pass by.

She was coming this way while talking to her subordinates.

“Why did you do that? Marie’s sister… Surely, he must have kept it in him.”

“right. It’s not our business, so don’t worry…”

“I heard rumors that Tom is going to be an official disciple this time. I’m almost certain. He’s a guy with no joke at the back.”

“It’s over. all quiet. nothing is certain It’s all just rumors. I’ve been here for years, how many times do you think you’ve heard that? So stop. Just rest… huh?”

The female supervisor, Marie, stopped walking. The reason was because he saw Oliver waiting for him.

As if seeing something bothersome, Marie sighed deeply. Then he spoke coldly to Oliver.

“Because I just didn’t like Tom’s behavior, so I helped him. It’s okay to say thank you I didn’t help you because you were pretty. Don’t think it’s weird and go away. Because it’s annoying.”

Oliver stood still, with a characteristic dazed expression on his face. Marie frowned and asked again.

“what? Is there anything more you want to say?”

Oliver nodded.

“Yes, what is a formal disciple?”

***

“What happened?”

A study in the basement of a sausage factory. Said Joseph, who was reading a book there. Across from Joseph stood a handsome blond young man who appeared to be in his mid-20s.

The man’s name is Andrew. He was Joseph’s first disciple and the second son of the Joseph family.

“There was a little commotion at the factory. Has anyone brought you here recently? He said he hated Tom, so he was beaten.”

“hahaha···. If I had hated that bad guy, I wouldn’t have been in good shape, are you okay?”

“Who are you talking about?”

“The beaten child. The child I brought with me a while ago.”

“ah····. Yes, it’s not something to worry about. Marie helped me when I was about to get hurt badly.”

“number of animals? Surprised. It’s not your business, but you’re going out.”

“Aren’t you the kind of person who can’t stand unexpectedly unreasonable things? Besides, he wouldn’t like to see him go crazy. As you know, Tom becomes an official disciple after 2 years, but he is a temporary disciple for 6 years… He must have been nervous.”

“Ahh····. Right. remembered Ten thousand years temporary marie. Hmmm, I thought aspirations were as important as talent in black magic, but I guess that’s not the case. If you don’t want to wait a little longer, downgrade him to a servant.”

The disciple Andrew didn’t bother to say anything. It was the rule here to make a child with no possibility of being a servant or a kitchen digger.

“Stop leaving. If there is anything else in the future, let me know.”

Andrew didn’t go out. I was standing still, looking at him like that, Joseph asked.

“What? Aren’t you going?”

“·······. master. May I ask you a question?”

“·····. Tell me.”

“Why do you keep watching the kid you brought in? You didn’t have much talent, so you made him a temporary disciple, didn’t you?”

Joseph closed the book he was reading and said.

“Why are you interested in such a thing?”

“Oh, you’ve never been like this before, have you? The temporary disciple just took him and taught him once or twice and then turned off his attention… I wonder why the owner is doing this. I am a craftsman… Yes.”

‘Because I am a master disciple, I have the right to ask.’ Andrew was the one who wanted to say that. As soon as he looked into his eyes with Joseph, he was discouraged and his words were blurred.

Joseph, who saw through Andrew’s heart, opened his mouth as he played a merciful teacher.

“reason? there’s nothing wrong with it He’s a pretty funny kid.”

“Is it fun?”

“Yeah, unlike other kids, they don’t want to get power or money, they just want to learn black magic. He’s a pretty funny kid, so that’s it.”

“So, you mean you have some talent?”

“Talent····. Well, there are quite a few.”

Andrew’s expression hardened visibly at those words.

“ha ha ha. Are you scared?”

“Oh, no. no!”

“Don’t be too scared. That guy has just entered… No, you’re a kid who hasn’t even started, but, have you been a disciple under me for several years? So, don’t worry about anything and just practice.”

“Ah… yes.”

After his master comforted him, Andrew was relieved. I was about to leave the study in a hurry to avoid embarrassment late, but at that moment, Joseph summoned Andrew.

“Wait, did you say that Tom was promoted to an official apprentice?”

“Yes, as I said last time, it will be officially announced at the end of this month… Why?”

“Hmmm…”

Joseph did not answer. Instead, he immersed himself in thought as if he had an interesting idea.

“Okay, it’s been a while since I’ve been back, so it wouldn’t hurt to show some mercy. Andrew. Let the temporary disciples be notified. I’m going to open a class in two days.”

“Class?”

Andrew said surprised. Temporary disciples without talent could also receive Joseph’s instruction, but only once every two or three months. When Joseph was not feeling well, there were times when he didn’t receive it for six months, but it was an unusual case that he was going to class soon after he left.

Andrew asked, holding back his shock.

“Really, are you okay?”

“I’m fine. It is said that one of the official pupils will be promoted at the end of this month, so it would not be a bad idea to check your skills one last time.”

When Joseph said that, he smiled slyly. As with other plots.

***

“·······. So. We are only disciples, not real disciples. If you want to become a real disciple, even a lower class is fine, so you have to become an official disciple. Do you understand?”

Oliver nodded at Marie’s question. It was difficult to understand at first, but with Marie’s detailed explanation, I was able to roughly understand what a temporary disciple was and what a regular disciple was.

To put it simply, the temporary disciple is only a disciple, but in reality he is not a disciple.

Rather, he was a candidate for discipleship and a worker at the same time.

He could not receive proper instruction and had to do chores, which came as quite a shock to Oliver.

Working wasn’t a problem. The real problem was that I couldn’t learn black magic properly. I was expecting that one… It was a pretty big deal.

Seeing Oliver like that, Marie said.

“Don’t be too disappointed. Because life is inherently unfair.”

Were those words comforting? Oliver soon regained his energy. Because of his corpse-like appearance, it didn’t look much different from when he was disappointed.

“then····. How to become an official disciple? Did you say that Tom is going to be an official apprentice soon?”

When the story came out, Marie frowned. Combined with her awkward purple hair, she looked even more annoyed, she said in a somewhat nervous voice.

“Yes. To be recognized as qualified to become at least a lower-level student by somehow accumulating skills in the classes you take every few months… But don’t expect too much. It is not easy for a temporary disciple to become an official disciple in the first place, and the number of seats is limited as T.O. It will take several years. It’s not something you’d think about, at least you’ve been in for a week.”

“What do I have to do to be recognized as a junior disciple?”

Marie frowned.

“Did you not hear me? Don’t think about it… Whoops, you need to be able to use the basic black magic skills with ease. About Hat Bullet and Black Shield. Do you know what it is?”

“········.”

“It shoots emotions, energy derived from the soul, like a gun, and wraps it around like a shield. Both are more powerful than guns. I stumbled upon it as it was being harvested by its master, and in an instant it swept away the bastards that ruled my neighborhood.”

Marie made a complicated impression. Oliver could see. Her complex emotions of admiring, greedy, and anxious while remembering that time.

She also coveted black magic, but for some reason she couldn’t do it, and she was impatient. Perhaps more serious than expected, she pondered for a long time, then jumped up from her seat.

“But, why am I explaining all these things to you? It wasn’t mine, and I didn’t bring anything in particular… Ha, what’s your name?”

“Oliver.”

“I don’t know what you were thinking of asking me this question, but this is the last time. I am not idle enough to answer your questions one by one. I’m giving you advice as I don’t know anything. If you need some help in the future, at least bring something. Because nothing is free in the world. Okay?”

Oliver nodded. I don’t know if I understood it properly because she always had the same expression on her face, but Marie stood up saying that it was her business no longer.

Why the hell did you answer that question…? Maybe he was possessed by that blank expression.

As he was about to go back to study, a worker under Marie’s management hurriedly ran over.

“Sister Marie! Marie’s sister! I have good news! good news!”

What made her so excited?

“What is it? Calm down and tell me.”

“Do not be surprised to hear! The owner will take a special break from work tomorrow and give a class. Can you believe it? It’s a class! First of all, if you only go on a trip, our class basically took 4 months, right?!”

“I know····. What kind of wind is blowing?”

Marie said she was really surprised. It had never been like this in six years, and then Oliver intervened without noticing it.

“Do you really have class tomorrow?”

“·····. okay.”

“It’s really nice.”

“I know····. you are lucky really.”
