“Are you really determined?”

“Well, I think the right time has come since the right person has been prepared.”

Lawmakers who talk in serious voices that could lead to another rebellion.

Regarding this, Chairman John told them with a cold smile.

“As everyone knows, Marshal George is very competent and stubborn. If such a person stays in the position of marshal and becomes a monarch, there is a very high possibility that he will immediately get rid of our parliament and try to establish a dictatorship.”

“Um… ”

“It can never be done that way.”

“Marshal George is obviously a great man, but we can’t let him take everything.”

“The newly created country must be centered around our parliament!”

Members of Congress who actively sympathize with Chairman John’s words.

While listening to their stories, Chairman John calmly continued his speech while looking at the papers with the victory report written on them.

“General Gates, on the other hand, is excellent as a general, but lacks political competence. Above all, he is a reliable enough person as he has been supported by our rebel council since before.”

“I understand what you mean. If so, when General Gates comes here as a general this time, let’s start the preliminary work in earnest.”

“But don’t be in too much of a hurry, because about 30% of the members of Congress, including Benjamin members, still support General George, and above all, things can become complicated if the general who controls the military finds out about this. ”

“Yes, I will keep that in mind. Chairman.”

Using that brilliant victory as a stepping stone to plotting dark plots, the councilors rose from their seats and dispersed to go about their own business.

And, seeing them like this,

Their leader, Chairman John, began to put a slightly convoluted smile on his lips.

‘Independence is important, but beyond that, considering what comes after is just as important. You can’t raise another wolf inside to drive out a wolf.’

The leader of the rebel army, and a person who has maintained the rebel force with his unique charisma and ability in the past two years of icy conditions.

Marshal George W Thington.

But,

As much as it has such a competent ability, the danger is also clear,

Chairman John began slowly to plan for the future, hoping that this opportunity would bring him down, or at least weaken the military support that was concentrated in him.

‘Everything for this country… ‘

“Like this, our rebels are currently split between Marshal George, who holds military power, his supporters, and factions of members of the Rebel Congress, who are struggling for power with him and sabotage at every turn.”

“Um… Alright, I think I know what the situation is. Thanks for the explanation.”

Benelita Arnold finished explaining the overall situation.

Then she lightly bowed her head to those present in this place.

“Then, I will go. No matter what you do, it would be better to let that general go as soon as possible.”

“That would be nice.”

“We don’t want to see such a human being as a general and condescending for a long time.”

The longevity who dispersed for work with such a dirty feeling.

After breaking up with them, I automatically felt dirty.

The internal circumstances of the rebels are more sh*t than I thought.

Reorganizing it in my head, I could easily predict how things would go in the future in relation to this background.

‘what… If this is the case, it will be almost obvious. Nine out of ten members of Congress will take this opportunity to use General Gates as their weapon to undermine Grand Marshal George’s position. Unlike Grand Marshal George, who is smart and has a clear opinion, General Gates will be much easier to deal with.’

The intention of lawmakers to choose a dog that obeys well even if its ability is reduced rather than a lion that is not easy to control.

In that respect,

I was belatedly able to figure out the clear reason why General Gates had to come to the Battle of Saratoga, which in some cases could have put an end to the rebellion itself.

‘In the original story, why did Marshal George, not Marshal George, come out at this point, but it was all for a reason.’

Circumstances make it almost clear that General Gates’ assumption of command in this battle was also the result of Congressional influence.

.

The will of the rebel council to empower their hound, Gates, by giving them a chance to make a big deal.

As I felt that the puzzle that had been questionable until now was being put together, I couldn’t help but click my tongue at the shoveling of those foolish humans.

‘anyway… The fact that the writers of the political board are human scum doesn’t seem to be any different here or in reality.’

Those who value their own gain more than anything else, rather than pursuing a greater cause right away.

At the same time, they are nasty guys who have the disgust of never admitting their fault while talking bullsh*t, ‘This is all for the sake of the country’.

Even in real life, I couldn’t help but let out a deep sigh as I remembered those disgusting trash that made me lose my appetite just by hearing my voice instead of my face.

‘no… So, if you abandoned this war like you did in the original work, what were you planning to do then? Did you intend to do this sh*t for the sake of the country even though everyone was accused of being traitors and their necks hung on the gallows?’

In the original work as well, General Gates, not Marshal George, participated in this war, and because of that, the rebels were literally destroyed by the Imperial Army and me at the time.

Even though it was not a battle in which General Gates could do something with his capabilities in the first place, he received an irrecoverable blow as a result of driving a large-scale army by trusting only the records on paper.

In the end, as a result of being dusted like a dog due to foolish judgment, the rebel army was completely finished, and the rebel lawmakers were captured as they were and put to death in the square.

Of course, right after that, my character was also betrayed and ended.

And,

As much as the game world became reality,

If I had still participated in this battle as a general in the Imperial Army, there was a very high possibility that the future would have happened without filtering.

‘Nevertheless, those hukou must believe only General Gates’ words and say bullsh*t about how they chose people well and won. what… That’s it, and the important thing is what I’m going to do from now on… ‘

First of all, General Gates is rapidly raising his stock price while making the greatest achievement of all time, regardless of whether it is a lie or something.

However, it was obvious what would happen if a person incapable of holding a seat sat on a high place.

It would be a little better if there were competent people around who could help, but now there are no such people.

It’s because that person threw everything away just because he was taking credit for himself!

If that person had honestly reported my achievements to the council and tried to get me on the same side, it might have worked quite well, but that person’s excessive greed and lack of brain seemed impossible to even think of such a thing.

In other words, from now on, that person had to shoulder the great power of being a general and even greater responsibility alone.

‘soon… There’s a very good chance it’s going to be very big. Of course, because of this, I have completely broken up with Benilita, who is quite capable and at the same time knows what kind of bastard that human actually is…’

While thinking that, I thought that our general who had disappeared somewhere…

No, I started wandering around the fort to find where my lover was.

A middle-aged man sitting by the window of a shabby mansion.

Facing him with a slightly virtuous expression, the secretary reported the situation so far in a calm voice.

“yes? General Gates’ victory news?”

“Yes, sir.”

“Heh heh, this is so… I’m a bit perplexed as to whether I should like this or not.”

“That’s right. Victory is a joy, but I am afraid that it will adversely affect the position of Grand Marshal George.”

A secretary who speaks with a subtle expression.

Regarding this, the middle-aged man spoke in a much lighter voice with a deep smile on his lips.

“Well, let’s think positively for now. With this, the urgent fire has been extinguished immediately, and in addition, the work we are currently working on has been able to gain great momentum.”

“All right. Senator.”

A middle-aged man speaking in a positive voice.

After answering this politely,

The secretary began to open his mouth cautiously, examining his eyes.

“there… And that.”

The secretary’s attitude made me feel a little nervous beyond the report on the victory.

In response, the middle-aged man felt suspicious and asked him.

“Why? What else is there to do?”

“Yes, that is… ”

With those words, the secretary carefully handed out a letter.

Looking at the familiar writing on the outer envelope,

The middle-aged man who accepted it asked in a calm voice with a slightly hardened expression on his face.

“This… no way?”

“Yes, this is a letter from the lady to the congressman.”

“That… the child… You mean?”

Hearing the news of the victory, a middle-aged man loses the composure he had maintained, and urgently begins to check the contents.

next.

Soon, complex emotions began to appear on his hardened face.

And.

“Dear Marshal… Please keep in touch.”

“Yes?”

“I have something urgent to deal with. Hurry up.”

“ah… Yeah! Okay. Senator.”

The secretary immediately leaves the room after receiving the instructions.

right after he left,

the middle-aged man.

One of the members of the rebel council,

Congressman Benjamin T Franklin.

Slowly looking out the window, he muttered a little with a bitter smile.

“It’s been a while since I’ve sent you news about a man… ”

Well this was a surprise that this plot centers around the American revolution, The difference of it being in a magical world makes it more interesting, so this is why early in the chapters the naming isn’t fantasy like, but more like an alternate history, mostly about the british empire.
