The Main Heroines are Trying to Kill Me chapter 414

The Main Heroines are Trying to Kill Me 414

“The situation is… it’s not really a joke.”

“…Is that so?”

As the boy walking down the frozen street said that, Bener, who had a blank expression on his face, opened his mouth in a low voice.

“Well, of course it is. Everyone has been isolated for months and has experienced despair.”

“Hmm.”

“Everyone has come to this point because there is no hope. It’s inevitable.”

Benaire said that in a lonely voice. Then she points to the signs posted all over the street.

“Still… there is still a faint hope. That’s why the Empire didn’t give up everything.”

“Are you talking about a warrior?”

“…Yes, a warrior.”

The capital of the empire is filled with phrases like “I’m sorry” and “I want you to come back”.

Bener, who looked at him, sighed coldly and muttered.

“Yeah, it’s useless…”

“yes?”

“…No, nothing.”

With a bitter smile at the boy, Benaire immediately stopped walking.

“Anyway, you must have seen the horrors of the shelters that were too far.”

“…yes.”

At those words, the boy nodded his head while gently hiding the radiant energy rising from his right hand behind his back.

“That is the first face of the present empire.”

“……..”

“Well, now I have to show you the second face.”

Pointing to his back like that, Benere said so with an awkward smile.

“Here…”

The boy, who looked at where her finger was pointing, raised his eyes and stepped back slightly.

“This is the Starlight Mansion.”

“………”

The place they walked to, despite ancient magic, was the Starlight Mansion, which eventually froze without defeating the demon king’s cold.

“…it’s very noisy.”

“I do.”

When the boy who had been watching him with a slightly frown asked a question, he answered and started heading to the mansion’s yard with him.

“I think it’s a start again.”

In front of her and the boy, a crowd of angry faces is throwing stones at the mansion.

“What are you doing?”

“Well. Is it the stupid type who think that the hero is hiding in the mansion, the type who wants to shift the blame to the younger sister who demoted the hero to a commoner, or the type who just wants to start a riot…”

Mumbling like that, Bener approached them.

“I know everything there!! Come out!!”

“Cowardly hero!! We are victims too!!”

“f*ck it once without me, is this it?”

“Because of you, Frey can’t come back to the mansion!!”

“You idiot who turned your brother into a commoner!!”

“It’s warm inside your mansion!!”

“Let us in too!!”

Before long, Bener, who had heard their cry, muttered while drawing his sword with an expressionless expression.

“All three are mixed.”

– Kwajijijik…!!!

In the next moment, her sharp sword strikes harpooned the signs of the gang, and after a moment of dazed expression on their faces, they quickly began to scatter in all directions.

“Isn’t that funny?”

After quietly staring at their backs, Benaire pushed the sword into the sheath and began whispering to the boy next to him.

“Most of the people who have lost their mind at the end of the day are coming. Of course, there are some who aren’t, but…”

“Ugh.”

“But I’m glad there are only a few people like that.”

Saying that, Benaire pointed to the corner of the yard this time.

At the tip of her finger, there was a crowd several times larger than before.

“Those people… What?”

“I’m waiting for the hero to come back here at any time. We’ll welcome you warmly when he comes.”

“Aha…”

“The people who unwittingly received great grace from the hero are half, and the people who have pity on him or have pity on the story of the hero revealed to the world are half.”

“………”

“…Of course, there are people who just want to live. I can’t tell them apart.”

A boy looking at people holding signs with the same phrases as they came out of newspapers, each with a haggard expression on their faces.

As his complexion darkened slightly, Benaire took his hand and walked inward.

“And inside… those who were close to the hero remain.”

“is that so?”

“Yes, would you like to meet me?”

“…Me?”

At that, the boy tilted his head and asked.

“Why am I…?”

– Profit…

But at that very moment, the gate of the mansion suddenly opened wide.

“Oppaa!!!”

From there, Arya, who was not even wearing her shoes properly, came out with a pale, tired face.

“I, over there?”

“Oppa!! Oppa right!? Right?”

Eventually, she grabs the boy and shouts with a cracking voice.

“…I am not your brother.”

“Lie! Don’t lie!! You’re right!”

As the boy steps backwards with a bewildered expression on his face, Arya goes and misses him, he grabs his pants and hangs.

“My, there’s no way I can’t recognize you!! Oppa, you’re right. You’re right…”

“But, not really.”

“Brother, I was wrong, so please…”

“…sorry.”

“Hey, let this go!!”

Aria clings to the boy’s legs, regardless of the messy hair. Then, she screams at a whale whale when her arms and legs are caught by the workers who ran out of the mansion.

“Let go of this!! Please!! Jebaal!!!”

“You’ve been very ill lately… both mentally and physically. Please understand.”

“Girl, stop now…”

“Please… get this… Oh, my brother is right in front of you…”

The maid who grabbed and dragged Arya towards the mansion, muttered with a mischievous expression.

“Young Master… it doesn’t exist anymore, you know.”

Arya, who stopped protesting after hearing those words, looked at the boy helplessly.

“Isn’t your brother… no more?”

“……..”

“Now… are you really not my brother?”

When her trembling eyes crossed the boy’s eyes.

“…because of me?”

The door of the Starlight mansion that is firmly shut.

“After the disappearance of the head of the Starlight family a while ago, the only people living in this mansion are the young Arya and the servants I just met.”

Only then, Benaire opened her mouth again and continued to explain.

“Mr. Arya feels guilty about driving her brother out and making him a commoner, and the users are engulfed in regret for not being with the hero until the end.”

“……..”

“Oh, and those people are the users who informed the hero.”

At that moment, the boy’s gaze came into view, and the maids sitting around the mansion, full of shit.

“I was kicked out everywhere, and paradoxically, there was only one place I could be.”

Having said that, Bener immediately grabbed the boy’s right arm and said,

“Well then, it’s time to go see the third face.”

“there…”

“yes?”

“…no.”

The boy looked at Bener with a slightly frowned expression, then crossed his head and began to walk.

“Just leave quickly.”

“……..”

“So, where’s your next destination?”

Seeing him like that, Benaire’s breathing began to get a little rough.

.

.

.

.

.

“”………””

The boy and Benaire are walking without a word.

“…there are a lot of people on the street.”

The boy who broke the silence that had lasted for a long time between the two of them and broke his luck.

“I don’t think it was like this before.”

“…Is that so?”

“Yeah, everyone, regardless of age or gender, is on the street.”

As he said, adults, children, men, women, the sick and the weak were all on the streets waving signs.

[Brave, be strong]

[Forgive me]

A boy who was quietly passing through such a street sighed deeply when he saw children with heights about his waist crying and waving signs.

“Why all of a sudden?”

“…it must be because the news that snow is coming soon.”

“Snow?”

After a while, the boy asked a question to Benaire, and then tilted his head in response to the blunt answer.

“The Demon King told me. On the day the first snow falls, they will start advancing.”

“Ahh…”

“Now that the end is near, everyone must feel like catching straw.”

Saying that, Bener, who was moving, stopped walking.

“…By the way, you’ve already arrived. It’s Sunrise Academy.”

The academy, surrounded by a huge shield, spread out in front of them.

“Students have been isolated in this place for months. Fortunately, thanks to the shield, they don’t feel the cold, but they’re running out of supplies.”

The students who were pitching their tents around the boundary line feel their popularity and put their emaciated faces outside.

“The academy is being broadcast live around the world.”

“…to the whole world?”

“Yes, it is to prevent impulsive behavior… and also to create a sympathetic opinion… The most important reason is that I hope the hero will see it.”

Having said that, Bener looked at them intently and sighed as he saw the students entering the tent with disappointing or weeping expressions on their faces.

“The hero, the lost empire and the academy have fallen so desperately. Bleeding… Sir.”

“yes?”

“Master, so… have you made a decision?”

Then, when Benaire asked such a question, the boy frowned and began to worry.

“Umm… well…”

“…Oh, there’s something I haven’t shown you yet.”

As the boy’s ambiguity shows, Benaire suddenly shows an urgent expression and leads him inside the tent.

“Hey, this is the task force. It’s the place to manage this desperate situation in the Empire.”

“…Ugh.”

“If you see this… Bird, you might change your mind.”

Thanks to that, Bener, who politely grabbed the boy who had started to stumble, called out to his subordinate who was standing next to him.

“Come on, let me show you this place.”

“…yes?”

“Oh, no. I’d rather guide you myself.”

Benaire said that with an expressionless expression. Then she grabbed the boy’s right arm and took a step forward.

“Wow, is there any answer from the fox beast tribe…?”

“Boo, you said that in the interview. You’re spending the rest of your life in a village in the eastern continent…”

“Bar, you must be there somewhere. Find it and apologize…”

Then, the people who were talking on the phone with their bloodshot eyes inside turned their heads with mysterious expressions.

“This is… the hero’s pursuit team. We were looking for the footsteps of the missing hero while communicating with the three princes outside the empire.”

“……..”

Pointing to them and speaking as if reporting to the boy, Bener then pointed to the other side and spoke.

“And over there… the material management department.”

Then, people with haggard faces came into the boy’s field of vision.

“Chairman… I have no more food to share.”

“There’s no fuel.”

“Now… what?”

Bener, who had a bewildered expression on his face at their words, pointed to the side with a trembling hand.

“Me, over there… the Propaganda Department.”

At the tip of her finger hung the blank gazes of the people who were compiling newspapers.

“I wanted to see the hero by any chance… I was making various signs.”

Bener, who showed the shabby task committee room, looked at the boy and grabbed the hem of his robe.

“Hey… how are you?”

Then, she leads him to her room and asks questions in a cracked voice.

“Have you changed your mind…?”

As she asked, she suddenly knelt in front of the boy who had no words at all.

“…a hero?”

Before long, Benaire asked with a trembling voice.

“”………””

A deep silence began to drift through her room.

.

.

.

.

.

“…the warrior.”

When there were no words to come back, Benere, who was kneeling, carefully opened her mouth.

“No, Young Master.”

After saying that, Bener took the boy’s hands.

“Hey… how did you get back?”

“……..”

“Wow, the soul disappears… Wasn’t it annihilated?”

However, when the boy in front of him did not speak, Bener hurriedly bowed his head again and continued his speech.

“Sin, I’m sorry. I dared to pretend to know…”

“…what are you talking about?”

“Young Master…”

When the boy’s cold voice resounded, Bener flinched and closed his eyes tightly.

“Dae, when you passed the shelter… You used the mana of the stars.”

“………”

“And Miss Arya recognized the Young Master.”

Tears begin to flow from her tightly closed eyes.

“Certainly… because I made a knightly oath to you…”

“…Umm.”

“There’s no way I’ll never know you until the end… isn’t it…”

Bener, who was crying, let go of Frey’s hand and touched the floor.

“I’m sorry… Young Master… Well, I was wrong…”

And then, she started to pound her forehead to the floor, shedding tears like beads.

“I am truly sorry for beating Young Master and using abusive language at the ceremony for the appointment of the hero…”

“For some reason, I don’t remember very well… but I also despised the man who couldn’t comfort the young master who cried in the mansion one day…”

“On the subject of a favored knight… on the subject of a traitorous family… the one who dared to hate you…”

“Neither, not being able to protect Young Master’s mother…”

Benaire’s muffled voice fills her room.

“It’s all my fault… please… please save this world…”

After waiting for an answer that didn’t come back for a long time, Benaire spoke with a frightened expression.

“Sin, even innocent people… Oh, please save even children…”

“………”

“Please… please give this world a chance to atone for you…”

She delivered the message she sent to the Empire in the form of a newspaper through the propaganda department, to the boy who was certain to be Frey.

“……what?”

Then she suddenly tilted her head and waved her hands.

“Do, Young Master?”

He grabbed Frey’s leg and tried to hang him, but for some reason he couldn’t catch his leg, let alone his crotch.

“……!?”

Thanks to him, he hurriedly raised his head, and immediately made a bewildered expression on his face.

The boy who had just stood in front of him had vanished from nowhere.

“Oh, no!!”

Thanks to him, after looking around with a blank expression for a while, Benaire immediately left the room.

“You guys!! Bar, do you know where the boy who was here just went to!?”

Before long, Benaire hurriedly asked a question to the subordinates who had stopped doing everything they were doing and were looking at him.

“Yes? What is that…”

“Why are you like this, Chairman?”

“Are you… are you having a hard time?”

However, the reaction of the subordinates is not very serious.

“Me, just answer what I say!! Bar, where the hell is the boy who was just before…!!!”

But, thinking that he had to catch up with Frey quickly, Benaire ignored the strange atmosphere and raised his voice again.

“…no one has left this tent.”

“What?”

“And the person who just came in was the chairman alone.”

Then, a subordinate who did not see her sighed and said so, and Benaire asked with a blank expression on her face.

“You came in alone and kept talking with someone, so I thought you were communicating…”

“……..”

“There is no boy. Aren’t you overworked? Chairman?”

A subordinate who puts a wedge into such Benere.

“Oh, no… I can’t…”

“Uh, where are you going?”

Bener, who had been muttering with a pale face thanks to that, hardened his expression and stepped out of the tent.

“I mean, I saw clearly with my own two eyes. I even touched it…”

“Chairman, please…”

“My, I found the hero again……”

And at that moment, Benaire’s muttering cut off.

“ah……..”

“………”

Eventually, the subordinate who came to dry her also began to look at the sky with a blue tired expression after losing words.

“First snow…..”

“Woah, Chairman…”

From the sky, pure white snow was falling.

– Whoa…! Boo woo woo….!!!!

And the next moment, the battle trumpet that began to sound throughout the empire.

– Jiying…!

Also, for some reason, the academy’s defensive walls began to turn red.

“aah!!”

“Shi, Shirae…! To die…!!!”

“Sah, save me!!!”

And a terrifying scream began to resound from all over the place.

“We… what do we do now?”

Bener, who had been meditating for a moment in the series of desperate situations that happened in an instant, came to his senses when he heard the words of his subordinate who asked a question in a voice crawling beside him.

“…I beg the citizens.”

“yes?”

Then, quietly taking the sword he was wearing around his waist in his hand, Benaire began to walk somewhere.

“I’ve always been dirty and ugly, but in the end… I want to be a knight.”

“Chairman!!”

“…If we meet again, please punish your wretched henchmen.”

It was Benaire who murmured as he plunged into the blizzard that swept across the Empire.

.

.

.

.

.

“Ttt, you’re finally rebelling to the end. There’s no point in doing that…”

“The Demon King.”

“Hmm?”

Half a day later, on the coast of the Empire.

“I have something to report to you.”

“…what?”

Aishi, who was holding her arm with her left hand and clasping her right hand, frowned, tilted her head as she looked down at the subordinates who entered her domain.

“The knight who suddenly appeared a few hours ago, I finally caught it.”

“…Yeah? It’s been a while.”

After hearing this, Le Mernou, an advisor of the Demon King’s army, who was joking in front of her, broke out in a sweat and made excuses.

“Well, that’s because… his force was so strong… And, he ran rampantly without even knowing his life…”

“Hmm…”

“I was able to capture him according to the order of the Demon King only after all the battle officers came out.”

Having said that, Le Mernaud continued to speak while looking at Aishi, who was exhaling cold air.

“Hey, we can march again now… but what?”

“Bring her before me. I have a story to share.”

“Hey, I knew you would, so I waited for you in advance. Hehe.”

Then, when Aishi gave the order, she bowed her head and wags her tail.

“…let it in.”

“Uh, uh…”

Then, as she gestures to the men behind her, Benere, whose body is tied to a rope, is dragged and pulled out.

“It’s been a long time… It’s a burden, Professor.”

“Aishi…”

Bener, who was being dragged along with blood dripping from his mouth with fatal wounds, clenched his teeth and began to look up at Aishi.

“I didn’t know you were this strong. Did you mean to join the Demon King’s Army?”

When Aishi, who looked down at him with a mischievous expression, asked that question, Benere chewed his lips and let out a dark voice.

“…Kill him.”

“Oh.”

Aishi covered her mouth with one hand as if surprised to hear that, then smiled and snapped her fingers.

“I’m sorry… but you have a role to play.”

“…What?”

“Would you like to see this?”

“…!”

At the same time, Benere looked up at what was revealed in the air at Aishi’s words.

“No, that’s ridiculous…”

Then, with a look of despair, she begins to shed bloody tears from her eyes.

“Young Master… why there…?”

“yes?”

“No, that’s ridiculous. It can’t be…”

Frey, whose heart had been pierced by a spear of ice, floated in front of her, pale and tired.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, but in fact, Frey died fighting me a long time ago. Still, the hero was a hero, and it took me quite a while to recover.”

“ah…..”

There was a hint of lies in Aishi’s eyes as she said that, but there was no way Benaire, who was in a panic, could notice it.

“Then… What I’ve seen… is really useless…”

“Anyway, now that I’ve recovered everything, I have to march slowly.”

Aishi stood up from the throne, smirking at Benaire, who was crying endlessly from her eyes.

“You’re going to use this corpse as a mascot for the march? To brag and demoralize you.”

Then, with a light gesture, she lowered the frozen body in front of her.

“That’s why I needed someone to escort this frozen corpse.”

“Young Master…..”

“Are you taking care of me, Professor?”

Whispering like that before long, Aishi declared with a cold voice to Le Merno and the demons who were joking in front of him.

“Let’s start the march soon.”

Which chapter was it again ?
I mean the part where we had a similiar talk with beniare ?

  2. Dragolord says:

@linkingcrk The novel story has medieval-fantasy world setting. So the dumb mobs’ response that criticize Aria is something that would actually happen in that situation. That’s what would’ve happened in old times. So even though I know you’re frustrated, and we all are, but the author made the right choice here. And they didn’t do it to please some readers that want “justice for Frey”. In fact I don’t think such readers exist. And even if they do they might be minority. Since we all just want everybody to be happy. Everyone’s a victim here so they all deserve happiness.

Also, nobody’s masturbating lol 😂. We all and even the characters know that Frey was a villain from characters’ POV. but they’re good people so they can’t help but feel guilt and regret and thus suffer. (I explain more about this in my comment in the next chapter lol).

I know you’re frustrated @linkingcrk but the author did this on purpose. Knowing everything. They’re aware of what they write. Although they might not write a perfect story but they’re aware if what they write. We obviously know this when some bad mob characters in academy say stuff that you said themselves. Like we didn’t know Frey was good, from our POV he was a villain, we are just victims etc. So chill @linkingcrk we readers all think the same as you and know that Aria and others are victims. So you don’t need to explain it to us. I know you’re frustrated due to author but their sufferings are all on purpose and actually justifyable as it makes sense plot wise and world wise.

And come on @linkingcrk Frey didn’t brutally mentally torture Aria as much as you make it out to be (even though we know she’s young) but still he tried his best to keep it low and not hurt her in any way. He just used to speak coldly to her or show his pathetic villain side to her, or just indirectly make Aria hate him by her knowing about his ‘villainous’ actions like normal people of the empire. But yeah she’s young and Frey sometimes use psychological tricks to amplify the effects of hatred towards himself even though he might do something not so bad stuff (basically exaggerating his act without making it seem weird). I agree their were times when timing was wrong which led to some heartbreaking scenes witb Aria which might be considered and cornering and torturing to her as Frey is expert at use of timings and stuff combining with the fact that Aria is young, but all I want to say is that in the context you said it made it seem like extreme torture and that Frey is bad guy who didn’t even ‘try’ not to hurt her while doing all that (which we know he obviously isn’t bad guy and that he obviously did his best not to hurt her). So this whole paragraph was some weird ranting of mine anyways you guys can ignore it as the way scenes in this novel are depicted, situation with Aria can be considered as cornering her and mentalky torturing her young mind as @linkingcrk said.

As for why Frey didn’t immediately alleviate Aria’s regrets (which he kinda try to do when he returned from 4th ordeal and talked with Aria but his sould was about to shatter and he didn’t have time so he couldn’t help her fully), well there’s some reasons why he didn’t go even after destroying false evil system:
    1) he needs to hide from everyone to attack demon lord Icy. So he can’t just go to Aria and help her yet. When he saw Aria before, there were too many eyes. He couldn’t risk revealing himself. So he had to stay undercover even after that.
    2) he needed to train and recover when he met up with heroines after surviving soul being shattered and penalty. (Well heroines wouldn’t let him recover completely through lol). To win the academy battle he needed to recover as well as put heroines l’ hearts to ease cuz he was just about to die a few moments ago.
But seriously, he was about to die man heroines would be worried sick about him so he had to stay either way (even the heroines kept him with them after making the plan for academy battle). When Frey’s Dad showed up and seeing Ferloche all bloody his resolve to train and grow stringer to win the battle at all costs solidified.
And come on man @linkingcrk. Cut Frey some slack, he was about to die for real with all these regrets and terrified of it so let him rest for a while and have fun and seggs! He deserves it.

As for @Jecker17 I know you’re frustrated too. But people regretting is natural (I explain more about it in my comment in the next chapter). As you said Frey is ultra heroic and kind. But that is exactly why he can’t fail here. The fate of the world rests on him. If he wants to save everyone, he needs to do this academy battle properly. He can’t mess it up at any cost. That’s why he has to drink his tears and not reveal himself even after seeing his dear sister Aria and other people suffer. Only then will the surprise attack he’s planning for academy battle will work. Else everyone’s doomed.

  3. linkingcrk says:

The author made Arya suffer for no reason other than to please some readers that want “justice for the MC” …but you know these readers that are masturbating seeing these developments need to know that the MC was in the wrong from their PoV . He wasn’t physically hurting his “lovable and cute” little sister but he mentally cornered a child to the point she just wanted to kill him. This doesn’t make her a villain, just a victim, and yes the MC was also a victim but he was directly responsible for her suffering and now that he can alleviate it and make up for it he didn’t do it and instead is just having wild sex with the heroines like, dude wtf?

  4. Jecker 17 Jecker 17 says:

Okay, I am seriously disliking this full regret chapters now. We know Frey is a hero with unconditional kindness, but is there any reason that he is causing so much suffering towards his own sister? If he is a hogu, should he not unconditionally fight as a hero. I mean he will do that, however, what is the reason for causing so much suffering.
