The Regressor and the Blind Saint chapter 133

The Regressor and the Blind Saint 133

Miller and Renee in Round 1 broke up.

As she walked out of the alley, fumbling against the wall, she sensed the presence of Vera and Renee, and smiled a little.

“Now let me go.”

Leaving only those words behind, I slowly walked past the two of them.

Vera followed him with a contorted face.

It was a place full of confusion.

‘I’m hoping to end my dream.’

It means that you have shown everything you can show.

Now stab yourself to death and get out of this place, that’s probably what he meant.

You are saying that even though you know what it means to you.

‘… you are.’

what do you want to do

I got a lot of clues, but many more questions started to settle inside me.

What the hell happened in the last episode.

Why did he die, and why did he summon the dead himself and join him here?

Why did you choose yourself to be able to undo all of that?

… No, there were questions that came to mind before those things.

Vera returned to the shack, looking at her back with blazing eyes.

The door opened with the sound of ‘Kik-.’ and then closed.

Then Vera opened his mouth as she went back to the seat she had always reclined.

“… Just ask me.”

“What do you mean?”

“Did you use me? Were all the images you showed me dramatic? Was it to make you swear that I would live for you?”

It was a question I couldn’t help but ask because the end was coming.

I just tried to swallow it, but it was a question I ignored because I wanted to think that it was the real thing, but I couldn’t stand the moment the end was coming to an end.

“… Did you mock my feelings for your own sake?”

It was a slightly shaky voice.

He tried to fuel his anger, but he couldn’t.

I tried to hate it, but I couldn’t.

Even at this moment when she realizes that everything was not a coincidence, it is because she feels her good intentions as light.

So, Vera posed a question out of sadness.

“I want to hear an answer to this. so… .”

It posed unfinished questions.

Renee bit her lip and tightened her grip on Vera. He did so so that he would not collapse no matter what answer he received, so that he could become a pillar.

A brief silence passed.

In the lowest alley of the dark and dreary gutter, leaning against the wall of a shack that was about to collapse, she followed Vera with invisible eyes, answering with a slight smile.

“… I do not believe in created goodwill.”

There was a ban on her, so it was a word that could not be uttered directly.

“I do not believe in a cause that is accomplished by the sacrifice of the unwanted.”

It was a word that was struggling to convey its meaning.

“But, I believe in love.”

It was a sound that added a handful of sorrow.

“I believe in faith through love, in the small lamp that dwells in the hearts of all who live, and in the splendid miracle that these lamps come together to create.”

Fortunately, it wasn’t very difficult.

“So I believe in you.”

she laughed

“I believe in the light that will surely dwell within you. I believe you will justify yourself with the love you called foolishness. So I just said it.”

Vera’s expression slowly faded.

“Because you already know that there are people in the world who need an embers to light a lamp, and know that there are people who cannot light them on their own, I just handed you the embers in the name of love.”

Her words, trying to remove the suspicions she had on her, were really made by her expressions.

“Now, I ask. Could the embers I gave you become a bright light? Even if it wasn’t bright, could it have been a guide that illuminates the road ahead?”

Vera was then relieved.

The words I heard were heard as a plea that the good intentions I gave to myself were not lies, so it was a very reliable word.

Vera was able to clear the doubts from the corners of his mind.

… No, I could think of a heart to erase.

After all, it wasn’t important.

Even if she approached her with a black inside, even if what she gave was not an embers but a bitter malice. It was enough already that he had started a fire with it.

As she said, it was enough to make him a man who could follow the light.

Besides, isn’t the path to be taken really clear now?

Vera answered her question with a gloomy face.

“… The embers you gave me worked well.”

“Is that so.”

“I… It could have changed with that, so it would be right to touch it and see it.”

“It’s fortunate.”

“It’s not that I completely trust you. Because obviously you wrote the numbers for me.”

She spent her last moments in this gutter, temporarily resurrecting herself, who died in the last round.

The purpose is to stop the ancient species.

The ‘coffin’ used is still unknown.

Even if what she showed was sincere, it could not be denied that the intention was underlying.

“… I’m not going to go the way you want me to.”

“To be able to think and act for oneself is a blessing upon all intellect.”

“Surely you have a plan. For that, my memories after death… And it must have been that some perceptions were adjusted that way.”

“Great.”

“Until I know that, I will continue to doubt you.”

“It’s a pleasure.”

Vera bit his teeth.

In the midst of swaying as he spoke these words, it was evident in the actions to be followed.

“… so.”

The moment I was about to add more words, Renee of the 1st session suddenly asked.

“What are you running for?”

Vera’s eyes widened slightly as he spoke with a smirk.

“What sustains you? Where is the light you want to follow?”

The smile created by the burn marks was passed down to Vera subtly in her true form.

“What color is your light?”

When he heard the words, Vera’s gaze turned to his right.

It was a small warmth that still held his hand tightly.

Vera could understand the intent of her words.

He replied with a smile on his lips.

“… I think I’m much better than you.”

“Um, is that so?”

“Neither sly, nor witty. Always be honest with yourself And you know how to hit it head-on.”

At the next words, Renee’s head was raised.

Rene, who had been tilting her head blankly, realized who the word was referring to, and belatedly dyed her face red and made an overbearing face.

“You have the courage I don’t have.”

Vera’s smile widened at the sight.

Vera looked at Renee from round one again and said.

“So, now that I have fully found my light… .”

He held the word on his lips for a moment and spit it out nicely.

“… I’ll have to let you go.”

The way to get out of this dream is to say it is.

She must have been saying to straighten out where the oath was headed.

she laughed

As if he was telling the right answer, he thought of a smile that showed such satisfaction.

“It’s a little embarrassing. That I am on your way.”

“… not you.”

“If you think so.”

A laugh escaped Vera’s mouth.

“He is a very unknown person. you are.”

Vera slowly released Renee’s gripping hand.

Then he drew the holy sword.

‘Sureung-.’, a pure white sword came out with a sharp cry.

Is it unavoidable that the tip of the sword trembles a little?

Vera looked at it with a bitter expression, and then opened his mouth to look at Renee of the 1st round.

“… do you know You are such a cruel person.”

Even at the last moment of her last life and at this moment when we met again, she was too cruel to herself. It came to mind, and Vera said to her.

“I have an oath with this sword.”

“What is?”

“I swear I will never wield this sword for anything wrong.”

He licked his lips, took a breath, and then continued.

“… I hope it’s not wrong for me to stab you with this sword.”

You could say it was just a thought, but not to Vera.

What was in front of him was the lighthouse that led him to this place, and at the same time was the object of the oath he made to his soul.

It was a remnant of the past that should be cut off now.

Therefore, with the tip of her trembling sword, Vera pointed at her heart.

The sword rattled with the still trembling movement.

widely-.

Renee took a step forward and placed her hand on Vera’s.

Renee felt Vera’s body tremble and continued.

“… Vera is not alone.”

He did it because he knew what this action meant to Vera.

“I am by your side. I admit that what Vera does is right.”

He did it because he knew he was shaking.

“Because your light says your actions are not wrong. Vera has nothing to worry about.”

These were the words he spoke to the subject he was trembling with.

Vera’s eyes widened at it.

Renee from the last episode, who was sitting leaning against the wall, smiled even more deeply.

“… It’s really nice to see.”

Even though they know that their extinction is approaching, they only express regret.

Rene’s eyebrows bulged out at it.

“Is that one missing?”

He said he understood Vera, but he didn’t understand her.

“I know it. You know Vera over there, right? Have you ever met Vera?”

“I do not know?”

“If it were me, I wouldn’t be acting like you. I wouldn’t have done something as sleazy as you.”

“You never know.”

“Sneaky year.”

“Words are the vessel of man… .”

“It doesn’t look like that from that side, does it?”

When Renee answered with a smirk, the 1st round Renee stiffened.

Then he laughed and said ‘Fuuuuuuuuuu’.

“You don’t know?”

Renee’s eyes narrowed.

‘I really don’t like it.’

I can’t believe I’m the same person as you.

In the midst of a brief nervous battle, Vera, who was watching it, felt that the tension from before had softened a little, and thought of a small smile.

“Lady.”

“Hurry up and get out.”

tremble-.

Vera’s body trembled slightly.

Immediately after, Vera, who stopped Renee from extending the sword at will, removed her hand that was on top of the sword and continued.

“I will do it alone.”

“yes?”

“I know it is something I have to figure out on my own. So will you please?”

Renee made a ‘knock’ sound for a moment at the sincerity evident in Vera’s words, and then slowly removed his hand from the sword.

“thank you.”

Vera felt the sword getting heavier and shifted his gaze to look at Renee in round one.

The quiet smile on his face as he touched the Rosario that was hanging around his neck was such an attitude that he didn’t seem like someone who would disappear.

Vera continued those words as a final greeting.

“… I don’t know what you meant, but when I see your intentions on my way, I remember you once, and I remember you only that much.”

She added that answer to it.

“Thank you.”

A pure white sword was heard. The tip of the sword pointed at her again.

Knowing that hesitation would only increase if he continued to speak, Vera drew his sword from that position, facing exactly where he was going to stab.

pooh-.

A creepy feeling arose.

The sensation that the blade shreds flesh, bones, and organs is transmitted through the fingertips.

It was a very familiar feeling, but at the same time, it felt particularly unfamiliar today.

Vera struggled to twist his sword with a frown on his face, his breathing rough.

damn-.

space is warped.

It was a sign that she, the center of the hallucinations, was disappearing.

Slowly Vera’s knees fell.

At the sound of ‘thump’ that came up with him, René of the 1st round stretched out her hand.

“Good job.”

Also, it was a calm tone.

dreams are shattered

Space, sensation, emotion.

It all turns into an illusion.

The body that made her crumbles.

The body of thought is destroyed.

… Also, the prohibition system was broken, and Renee of the 1st session left such words.

“Go to Maleus.”

flash-.

Vera’s head was raised. A bewildered face followed her remnants.

With a contorted face, she added a word as if it were breaking.

“… Get him a ‘coffin’.”

With those words, the dream was shattered.

Bloody hell this novel keeps surprising me on many levels.

Vera was the demon king ? The pink hair ancient made Vera fight against the heroes so there would be no one left to stop her. Saint from previous life found this regression as the solution.

I wonder who “him” is referring to in the last line, probably Vargo ?
