Chapter 68. The Last Monster Break
Seeing the happy troops, Jeong Dae-sik said with a smile.
“The monsters are in full swing, so we should think about slaying them.”
Ki Chul-min opened his mouth as he saw Jeong Dae-sik getting off.
“Of course I will. Only after killing that damn bastard.”
Jeong Dae-sik glanced back at Gwangpil-doo and responded.
“That bastard would have killed you at all.”
“It’s not just my job. In Moscow, you stole all the abilities of our troops and even attacked the captain! That bastard is a criminal! You have to pay the price for that!”
“Why do you have all the fucked cubs?”
Ki Chul-min spoke in a harsh tone. Judging by the fact that Jeong Dae-shik appeared in front of them in an intact state, it could not be said that Gwangpil-doo had forcibly taken the 7-star weapon.
It seems that Jeong Dae-sik handed over the 7-star weapon himself, so Ki Cheol-min was furious.
It was also due to the fact that he couldn’t use Tyrbringer at all due to being a nerd.
Jeong Dae-sik said simply.
“Because that fucking bastard is an Awoken.”
“Yes? If you’re an Awakened, besides that guy……”
“Right now, I feel sorry for even one Awakened person. But think of handing that guy over to the Awakened Crime Management Team again. He ran away once, so we should strictly monitor it until the trial begins. Wasted in the process Think of the manpower that will be.”
“Anyway, it’s useless to get over the leader right now. As you can see, the government officials are all going to be out of their minds because they’re all monsters. In fact, it’s like an anarchy. And the chaos will become even more severe in the future.”
“Then why don’t we just lock him up! Is it really necessary to give him 7-star weapons and make them fight?”
“Seven-star weapons exert their greatest power when gathered in one place, and since Gwangpil-doo is used to using them, he doesn’t feel the need to find and hand them over to someone else.”
“What if you run away with 7-star weapons? How are you going to take care of that?”
Jeong Dae-sik asserted.
“You can’t run away.”
“You’re walking around alone like that, how can you believe in it?”
“It’s not that I can’t run away, it’s that I can’t. I’m subordinated to me in a special way, so I can’t escape. I guarantee.”
When Jeong Dae-sik spoke confidently, Ki Cheol-min was left speechless. I don’t know what kind of tactic he used, but it was clear that Jeong Dae-sik was controlling the gwangpil-head.
Gwangpil-doo contorted his face as if to prove his words. He became aware of the strange state of mind that had already taken hold of him.
Kwang Pil-doo had no affection as much as a hair in this world that persecuted him. He meant it didn’t matter if he broke or not.
But, instead of running away from earlier, he was obediently following Jeong Dae-sik’s words.
Not only did he kill the Skell, he even went out to find his next prey.
In addition, he felt annoyed when the Fenrir troops blocked his way.
It was pathetic that you were arguing with me in a dangerous situation. Even such things closely resembled Jeong Dae-sik’s way of thinking, and Kwang Pil-doo was able to realize that he was really subordinated to Jeong Dae-sik.
Not even a violent rejection of that fact occurred.
Gwangpil-doo just frowned and muttered.
“What the hell did you do to me, Daesik Jeong?”
“I think it would be better for you to help out even a little, rather than being locked in a seal or barrier, just in case. If you made a significant contribution in this war and sincerely repented of the past, your sins might be alleviated.”
Kwang Pil-doo picked up a strange word from Jeong Dae-sik’s words.
Jeong Dae-sik looked left and right and continued speaking.
“Let me be clear. This is completely different from the Monster Break that has occurred so far. This will be the final battle for human life and death, and if we do not stop the monsters, the civilization of the earth will come to an end.”
Neither the Fenrir troops nor Gwangpil-doo said anything to Jeong Dae-sik’s words.
The seriousness of the current situation was a fact that was obvious without even thinking about it.
Almost all the dungeons exploded, and monsters rushed out in large numbers, and their types and strength were at a level that could not be compared with before.
Moreover, since the whole world seems to be in this situation, it was impossible to expect help from outside.
If Korea, which has the most talented people, had such a hard time defending the capital, the situation in other countries would have been a disaster.
Therefore, it would not be an exaggeration to say that the fate of the world is in the hands of those who are here now.
But then, a protesting voice flew in.
“Hey! Isn’t that too speculative?”
Those who spoke were members of the Magnum Raid, who had requested assistance from the Titan units.
One of the dogs, who seemed to have some rank, stepped forward and spoke.
“I am well aware that you are an all-in-one Daesik Jeong, but no matter how much you do, you don’t have the ability to predict. Isn’t it a bit overkill to say the destruction of human civilization?”
When he was told not to create an atmosphere of fear, Jeong Dae-sik remained silent and the person raised his momentum.
“I know the scale of Monster Break right now is terrifying. But even ten years ago, when there were no proper hunters, you somehow managed to overcome it? But what about now? You said it. To be honest, I don’t think it’s at the level where humanity will perish.”
Apparently, that person was wary of Jeong Dae-sik’s words and actions, which aroused a sense of crisis.
If a person with great power like Jeong Dae-sik instigates the destruction of the world, there will be a lot of people who will get caught up in it.
If so, Jeong Dae-sik’s influence would have expanded too much and he could have devoured the world instead of a monster.
However, Jeong Dae-sik did not protest.
He nodded slowly and said.
“Yeah, you’re right. Humanity won’t disappear so easily. We’re sure to win.”
At the words of meekly agreeing, that person also had nothing to say.
That was the time.
The sky suddenly turned black and dark, and the ground shook violently.
It was not an earthquake, but a continuous vibration, which made the atmosphere unsettling.
Jeong Dae-sik immediately used his skill to examine the situation.
Jeong Dae-sik stared at a distant place for a moment and frowned.
“We must move quickly.”
Ki Chul-min asked carefully.
“What did you see?”
At Ki Chul-min’s words, Jeong Dae-sik tried to speak as calmly as possible.
But no matter how calmly he spoke, all who heard him were terrified.
“I don’t know what it is… At least it looks like a 15-star monster.”
The face of the person who protested against Jeong Dae-sik turned white.
Among the five giants that devoured Russia, the 15-star monster was the only one known as the dark god Chernobog. But a monster comparable to that has appeared in this land?
If that were true, he would have had to retract what he had said.
If someone like Chernobog, who put the vast Russian land under his territory, appeared, it would not be strange to predict the extinction of mankind.
“Is everyone ready?”
Jeong Dae-sik looked at the Fenrir troops and said, and they nodded their heads.
The Magnum raiders wanted to say, are you crazy?
Even so, it would be unreasonable to face a 15-star monster. In order to reduce the damage as much as possible, it would have been minimal to evacuate nearby people and prevent their movement.
But they were talking as if going to a fight was the most natural thing to do.
The Magnum raiders licked their lips to dry them out, but were unable to utter those words.
Before he could say anything, Jeong Dae-sik blinked at Seo Ji-won, and soon he showed off his talents.
The place they arrived was at the foot of the mountain where the original dungeon was supposed to be.
What appeared between the ridges was an absurdly huge head.
His appearance was somewhat comical, but his eyes were bulging out as if he had been cut out of a general, and he had a nose that was droopy like a cow’s ball, a face covered in beards, and a mouth that was as big as a brisket.
“Wow, that looks weird!”
Hearing what Mi-rae Heo said, Deok-hwa God muttered.
“It seems to be a species that has never been observed before. It looks like a Lapu with only a head.”
In response to Jae-woo Lee’s question, Deok-hwa God said briefly.
“A demon in Indian mythology.”
“I don’t know if it’s Lapu or what, but it doesn’t seem to be as strong as Chernobog? Is it possible to fight only with a head like that?”
Jaewoo Lee said so, but it was his mistake.
Perhaps it was to buy time until an awakening person who could face him appeared in Lapu’s appearance, a fighter appeared.
The fighters flying with a sharp pounding sound could not attack hastily.
This is because, if you provoked the first attack for nothing, you could annihilate them all.
The judgment was wise, but flying over Lapu’s head was not a good idea.
The fighters passed Lapu with great speed, but at that moment, Lapu opened his mouth and the fighters were sucked into it in an instant.
The fighters staggered like paper airplanes swept away by a strong wind and disappeared into Lapu’s mouth.
Through Lapu’s mouth, all the trees that had been taking root on the mountain began to be sucked in.
Trees were cracked or uprooted with a crackling sound and sucked into Lapu’s mouth.
As the range gradually expanded, the strong air current was felt in the Fenrir unit as well.
“He’s a huge guy! He just opened his mouth and everything around him is sucking in, right?”
“If that kind of guy gets out of the mountains and goes down to a private house, something terrible will happen.”
After making the mountain a bare mountain, Lapu, who shut his mouth, began to float down the mountain as if responding to the words of Seo Ji-won and Kim Song-geun.
There was a small village right at the foot of the mountain, and they rushed to it without delay.
And Jeong Dae-sik quickly gave the order.
“Heo Mi-rae! I’ll have to tie it in place so that the rib cage doesn’t move any more!”
“Kim Song-geun and Lee Jae-woo move together! Kim Song-geun creates a giant clone and deals with him, and Lee Jae-woo helps it!”
“God Deok-hwa and Seo Ji-won are in charge of the rear support. Ki Cheol-min and Entropy wait for their power to weaken before giving them a blow!
It wasn’t a good idea to waste time against a 15-star monster.
Unless it was a dungeon, even more so.
Jeong Dae-sik was thinking of splitting the huge rib cage in half at once, but Ki Cheol-min said.
“Captain! I’m sorry, but I can’t use Tyrbringer!”
“The last time I was fighting the Gwangpildu, my blade was completely ruined!”
Gi Cheol-min said so and looked at Gwangpil-doo, who was following him from the back of the line.
Gwangpil-du, who was acting with them according to Jeong Dae-sik’s will, did not say anything.
