Abandoned by my Childhood Friend, I Became a War Hero chapter 52

52 - The Man with the Red Spear #2

52 – Red Spear Man #2

At the end of Oznia’s line of sight, a man in black armor walked towards him, looking more like a devil than a devil.

In the dark night, its golden eyes sparkled like a bird of prey right in front of its eyes. Every time a cool breeze blew, ominous black flames gently swirled around his body.

When even the air around him felt heavy, and even the death knight, a lifeless being, lowered his body as if nervously grasping the handle of his sword.

The man in the robe burst out laughing with an expression of disgust.

“You managed to catch up here, half-assed warrior.”

But the man in black armor just raised his right hand without answering. Then, the red spear that had been lying on the floor suddenly appeared in his hand, as if responding to a call.

“No, humans say you are a beast? To be called an ominous name even by your own people, it really suits you-“

f*ck!

Suddenly, the head of the man in the robe was smashed. It was because a red spear flew in an instant and pierced the man’s forehead.

But despite his head being blown out, the man still wasn’t dead. Only his sergeant moved his mouth and shouted hastily.

“Don’t you know what a conversation is? Please stop killing me!”

The man’s condition was horrendous.

The upper part of his head was completely smashed, leaving the skull and brain clearly exposed, but not a single drop of blood flowed, and the cut edges were clearly visible, making it a more alien and horrifying sight.

“Ugh… !”

Oznia couldn’t stand the rising pain and vomited at the sight of the man moving without dying even in that state.

However, the man called the malevolence seemed very familiar with the appearance of his opponent.

“Is this an alter ego again?”

“Yes. So, no matter how many times you kill me, it’s no use, evil spirit. I will reappear in a new body somewhere other than here.”

The man’s broken head was regenerating before he knew it. However, rather than regeneration, it looked like a simple broken head awkwardly attached.

It was hard to guess his true form from his terribly distorted face, but Oznia could tell that he had elf-like pointy ears.

The man called Chestnut answered in an indifferent tone.

“If you kill the visible ones, one day only the main body will be left.”

After those words, the chest walked straight towards the man in the robe. The man in the robe hurriedly raised his staff, and following the owner’s command, a group of Death Knights rushed at the beast.

Even at the intimidating sight of the knights on horseback brandishing their weapons, the malevolence did not show any emotional change. He just moved forward holding the spear reminiscent of red thorns with a heavy grip on it again.

The ghost horse burst into a wild cry, and the Death Knight riding on it swung the sword vigorously. It was a downward slash with power that was difficult for even a few knights to receive. At that, the chest held his own spear firmly and swept it obliquely upwards.

The knight rode his horse and accelerated, striking the sword from top to bottom, and the chestnut swung the spear upward in place to block it. In common sense, the difference in power would be obvious.

Quang!

Nevertheless, the Death Knight’s sword hit by the spear of the chest was pushed back like a child who couldn’t handle the strength of an adult.

Not only that, but the ghost horse was unable to handle the heavy blow of the spear, which contained tremendous power, and the ghost horse collapsed with a rough fight. Eventually, both the horse and the rider fell to the ground at the same time.

Oznia had no idea how great the difference in strength would have to be to break a knight on her horse from the ground.

The chest pierced, struck, and slashed through the knights rushing forward one by one. The corpses torn apart by his spear became real corpses and stopped moving. Only a blurry stream of blood spread bluntly around him.

The man in the robe laughed and said as he watched the Death Knight unit, which was capable of capturing a castle, be shattered horribly by just one person.

“Crazy bastard….”

Anyway, the man in the robe didn’t want the Death Knight unit he had put so much effort into being annihilated so easily.

He raised his staff and prepared his magic, and at the same time threw the corpses of the newly created villagers towards the beast.

But all of that was just useless. The man in the robe lifted up his black magic power and scattered and disappeared along the trail of the red spear, which spread curses and black magic on the beast.

Each time he swung his spear with black flames exploding from his entire body, he sent more than one zombie and Death Knight back to their corpses at a time.

He continued to advance endlessly, stomping on the corpses of his enemies, and never stopped swinging his spear. He had no hesitation or hesitation about him. This was an extremely one-sided massacre, in which a single person slaughtered the enemies with overwhelming force.

It was a truly terrifying sight. Oznia couldn’t help her trembling shoulders instinctively.

“Suck… !”

She pulled her body back, scratching her dirt floor with her hands. She didn’t know which to fear more: the demons that had slaughtered her village and the man who was slaying them.

It seemed that nothing would be exempt from the man who was killing everything right in front of his eyes. Just as he tore the corpses of his parents who were rushing at him a moment ago. His ruthless strength and demonic appearance terrified Osnia’s heart.

However, the fear and the way he fought the enemy left a deep impression on Oznia.

The way he defeated his enemies reminded me of the battles of heroes in mythology that transcended the human realm. The red spear swung from his hand moved as fast as lightning and pierced the enemies, leaving behind a heavy impact like a giant rock with each move.

In the end, all of the undead that filled the village were knocked down by the hands of the evil spirit and returned to decaying corpses lying on the ground.

The man in the robe who was left alone in the end looked at him with eyes that looked like a monster.

“No matter how much the body of an alter ego had limits to the power it could produce, it wouldn’t have been enough for a mere human to fight alone….”

The man in the robe muttered as if he was dumbfounded, but the malevolence simply aimed at the vital point and swung his spear.

The man quietly opened his mouth as he watched the spear blade slash at his head.

“Ha… To think that someone who wasn’t even a follower of a goddess like a saint or warrior would become my adversary…. Where the hell did such a monster-“

Quaang!!

With a tremendous roar that split the heavens and earth, the spear of the chest split the man’s body in half.

After that blow, the man stopped moving.

There was a limit to how much he could move even if his body was broken.

As the golden eyes of the chest stared at herself, leaving the burning village and the bloody stench behind, Osnia screamed in involuntary fright.

“Huh… !”

When the evil spirit approached her holding a red spear, Oznia didn’t even think of running away and just sat down on her floor. She pleaded faintly, in a trembling voice.

“Say, save… ….”

Hungseong stood in front of her Oznia and looked at her for a while, wondering what she was thinking. The longer his silence lengthened, the more pitifully her Oznia’s breathing quivered.

Oznia could no longer beg for her life or run away. It was because nothing seemed to work for her in the presence of this mysterious, sinister man. To him, Oznia must have been less than an ant.

Oznia trembled before his chest like a prisoner awaiting sentencing.

In the midst of this, the scarlet star suddenly raised a red spear and stabbed it toward Oznia. Her face went white.

Oznia’s purple eyes could only see the red spear blade.

Die. Will die like this Her heart was beating like crazy. At that moment, only her death filled Oznia’s mind.

But the blade stopped right in front of Oznia.

Toduk!

At the same time, Oznia felt that the restraints that bound her were snapped at once.

With Oznia in front of her, gasping and unable to catch her breath, her chest returned her spear as if she had done her job.

Then the man turned his back.

Oznia couldn’t take her eyes off him blankly until he disappeared completely.

She suddenly appeared and saved her, and the man left without saying a word.

“… Like that, after he left, the imperial army appeared.”

Oznia briefly mentioned several stories after that.

Her current teacher discovered her unique constitution and took her as her disciple. That she learned how to control her own powers from him.

And she had always wanted to meet the beast, but after the war, she couldn’t even find out his whereabouts.

But she said that when she recently found out in the newspaper that he was alive, she was startled and seemed to be distracted for a moment.

Ion didn’t react at all while Oznia’s story continued.

I just listened to her story with concentration from beginning to end, and after a long silence, she only opened her mouth heavily.

“Oznia.”

“Yes.”

“Did you ever resent him?”

“… Yes?”

At those words, Osnia looked up at Ion in shock.

Ion was quietly staring at Osnia with a very serious look.

“If that man had arrived a little earlier, your family and villagers might still be alive. Has he ever thought of that?”

Ion’s expression didn’t change much, but in his silence, I could feel a complicated feeling.

Looking at that figure, Osnia’s eyes sank even deeper.
