Academy Pure Love Prison Guard chapter 3

Academy Pure Love Prison Guard 3

3 – Occupation (2)

“I, I have received the will of God.”

Ron felt helpless with shocking results, even stuttering in response. It made her heartbroken to see him leave the auditorium without looking back after answering laboriously. If you were a jailer, wouldn’t you be the one working at a prison? Dealing with heinous criminals day after day is one of the most emotionally draining and undesirable jobs. Considering this job was given to her, she could probably do this type of thing. It’s important to have someone by your side who supports you when the work is difficult. Maybe there’s no one else but me. She spread her wings of imagination with a self-satisfied expression.

“Lily, if it’s not you, I can’t do it! Stay with me for the rest of our lives!”

“Well, Ron is a pervert. There won’t be any woman other than me who will accept Ron’s proposal!”

The corners of her lips naturally lifted as she recalled Ron proposing to herself. The atmosphere among the town girls was hostile toward Ron. If things went on like this, Ron, who had been rejected by everyone, would come to herself naturally. Honestly, she

Suddenly, when it was my turn, I stood up from my seat and came forward.

As I entered the dark auditorium under the only light,

I felt a indescribable sense of sanctity.

Was this what Ron felt?

Kneeling down with one knee and bowing my head, I raised my hand over the head of the priest.

“This, this is!”

With a confused cry, I opened one eye and glanced around.

The calm face of the priest was awed,

and his hands trembled like a cedar tree.

Soon, a shocking remark about Ron’s occupation came out of the priest’s mouth.

“By God’s command, you are recognized as a `savior`.”

At the priest’s words, countless thoughts rushed through my mind in an instant.

What came to me most vividly was the story he decorated for me when we first met Ron.

***

My mind turned bright white.

Many thoughts crossed my mind.

Memories of the story Ron told me in the past came to mind.

It wasn’t fear from the gloomy story full of sacrifice.

I just wanted to escape from the nightmare of being with another man, not Ron.

Since then, I ran away without realizing it, rushing forward aimlessly.

I vaguely remember meeting Ron on the way, calling out to me,

and the priests chasing after me.

But…

“Lily!”

Ron reached out his hand to me as I mistakenly fell off the cliff while running frantically.

That was the most vivid memory before I lost consciousness.

“Ron! Ron! Wake up!”

Even if I called him no matter how much I seemed to have fainted, there was no answer from Ron.

Evidence of the fact that he had fallen from the cliff flowed out of his head like red liquid.

We looked up at the cliff we had fallen from.

It was a slightly sloping cliff, so we weren’t badly hurt.

However, there were rocks protruding from various parts of the cliff.

Maybe we hit our heads on those rocks.

When I checked Ron’s chest with my ear, his heart was beating vigorously as usual.

Ron wasn’t dead yet.

I felt relieved that he was alive while calmly checking our surroundings.

But it was not the time to relax yet.

Just because we were still alive didn’t mean we weren’t in danger.

The one good thing was that if the priest who was chasing us came,

we might be able to save Ron somehow.

“I can’t just sit here though.”

At least we needed first aid.

Fortunately, seeing that the surroundings were thick with greenery, it was likely that there were herbs we needed for treatment.

“This is….”

Ron’s sword hilt accidentally touched my fingertips.

It was his sword hilt that he always wore at his waist, but it must have fallen off during the fall and couldn’t withstand the shock.

I took his sword and headed out to find herbs for treatment instead of him, who had lost consciousness.

Ron’s father taught me various common knowledge, including herbalism.

He said that it would be necessary for whatever I did in the future, and taught me quite thoroughly.

Ron didn’t think it was necessary and just followed behind me.

But as his father said, the knowledge he learned that day was being used effectively now.

When I returned after obtaining enough herbs for hemostasis and fast wound healing.

Thump-thump-

“Maus!”

A huge wild boar-like maus appeared.

Maus, which mainly feeds on vegetation, but most of them prefer meat.

And the meat that maus eat the most is human.

There are a lot of possibilities.

Or is it because it’s easier to eat than other prey.

Monsters consider humans as food and tend to come down to the village often.

Simply put, to the unconscious Ron, he was nothing but a well-prepared meal for the monster.

“Move! Move!”

The legs frozen with fear did not even flinch no matter how much I nudged.

I had no confidence in defeating the monster, who was far from my reach.

Even if I had a sword, I wouldn’t even be able to pierce the skin of the monster.

If I pick a fight, it’s certain that I’ll die.

But I didn’t want to see Ron die in any way.

“Haat!”

With legs that barely moved overcome with fear, I rushed towards the monster with the sword raised.

Clang–

As soon as the powerful sword hit the monster, it broke into pieces and fell apart powerlessly.

Did it receive a shock from falling off the cliff?

Or is it because the monster’s skin is tougher than expected?

Either way, it successfully diverted the monster’s attention, saving Ron.

“Ugh!”

The monster, turning its target from Ron to me, lunged at me.

Unable to escape, I took the monster’s attack head-on, and my body, unable to withstand it, could barely come to a stop after a short flight and hitting a tree.

When I opened my eyes, filled with intense pain, I saw the monster snarling angrily in front of me.

I’m going to die soon.

Even though I had a sense of impending doom, why was I smiling?

I was too happy all along.

Losing my parents and wandering aimlessly as a refugee was not strange to die at any time.

But meeting Ron, accepting the farewell from my parents, and becoming my new family, brought me happy days.

“If I can save you, I’ll be satisfied.”

Since Ron saved me, it’s my turn now.

Slowly accepting the approaching doom, I closed my eyes.

With this, I can die without any regrets.

Thump thump.

The sound of footsteps.

But for some reason, it was a familiar sound to my ears.

When I opened my eyes, beyond the paralyzed monster, I saw Ron slowly walking towards me, looking startled.

“Why are you here…?”

Before feeling the joy of Ron waking up,

I felt bewildered by his approach.

Ron’s sword was broken, and no matter how skilled he was, he couldn’t match the monster.

Even so, Ron’s footsteps never stopped.

“Huh?”

For a moment, I caught sight of Ron’s pupils between strands of hair.

Not only did it feel different from usual, but his gaze also sent chills down my spine.

Most of all, it wasn’t Ron’s usual disheveled face,

He had a cold expression like someone else, which made me even more repulsed.

Swoosh.

As Ron raised his arm, the monster instinctively rolled its foot, raising a cloud of dust.

“A ticket?”

A black ticket.

It was as if all the darkness in the world was condensed into that pitch-black ticket.

Whether the destination of the ticket was Ron’s outstretched hand,

Or naturally falling into Ron’s hand, fluttering down, it settled there.

“No! You can’t use that!”

I wanted to shout at Ron, to tear it away from him right away.

But my outcry never became words; it just kept spinning in my head.

I didn’t even want to imagine what consequences would arise if he used that ticket.

The fact that it was Ron, of all people, using it was terrifying.

In the end, it seemed like my inner scream didn’t reach Ron,

Ron, clutching the black ticket, looked at the dealer with empty eyes and murmured softly.

“Temporary release. ■■■■.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a massive door appeared behind Ron without any warning signs.

The door was eerie and ominously foreboding.

But it didn’t stop there; even more dreadful changes ensued.

Gradually turning black, the shape of the door transformed into something grotesque.

It writhed like a living creature,

and even the chains that locked the door morphed into tentacles as if they became part of the door itself.

Creak.

With a piercing sound that pierced his ears, the door opened, spreading an ominous aura.

Thunk!

What emerged from within the door devoured even the enormous monster that seemed formidable, leaving no trace behind.

‘A, a monster!’

Countless pairs of eyes rolled around, and between the chaotic jaws, sharp fangs revealed themselves.

The ominous aura emanating from the door belonged to this monster.

From Noble mtl dot com

It could be easily inferred.

‘Did it just… smile?

Even the monstrous creature that threatened me appeared no different than a neighbor’s dog.

That monster instantly looked at me and smiled.

It was odd to think that a faceless monster could smile.

However, when the creature’s gaze turned towards me,

I was certain that it bestowed upon me a sinister smile.

As if it had no further business, the monster went back through the door it came out of,

and as the door closed, it vanished like an illusion, just as it did when it first appeared.

Before I could even find solace in the fact that I survived, my gaze returned to Ron, who had collapsed again.

I wondered what that creature was,

and I was curious about the fact that Ron, who had lost consciousness, became someone else after standing up.

However, above all else, I concluded that his power must never be used again.

If there’s even a slight chance that his power is Ron’s ability,

we must prevent it from being used again.

‘To do that, I also have to become strong.’

In order to prevent Ron from using such power,

I have to become strong just in case.

Even if it means a future that is not connected to Ron.
