Academy’s Weapon Replicator chapter 159

Academy’s Weapon Replicator 159

Chapter 52 Workshop (4)

I entered the workshop and opened the hidden door on the floor.

It was an ordinary floor that was indistinguishable with the naked eye until it was opened, but when I pushed the back with force, a crack in the floor that seemed to be a single floor split, revealing the entrance to the basement.

Perhaps this workshop is not real, but a skill, so it is possible to hide the floor in this way. In reality, even if it was closed, you would have seen a cracked line on the floor. no matter how well made.

A long staircase to the basement. I went down the stairs slowly. It didn’t seem like there was a light source somewhere, but I could see clearly. Is it because this is a skill?

‘long.’

The huge height of the basement seen from the outside. As if to prove that, the stairs going down were very long. The sound of my footsteps descending into the great cavity echoed loudly.

And as I went down the stairs, there was a huge door in front of me.

‘Is this really a door for people to come and go?’

The door was unnecessarily grand and huge. It was literally a door that filled the entire height of the basement.

I walked over to the door and put my hand on it. It didn’t budge even when I applied force. In fact, given the size of this door, it must have been quite heavy, although it seems natural that it would not open.

‘But it’s my skill.’

Does it make sense that the master of the skill can’t open the door?

There is a door that hides the door to enter the basement, and there is another door that hides the inside even if you go down to find it. It seems like he wants to hide what’s inside for quite some time.

Paah!

Then the door lit up. The light flows from the outside to the inside as if it flows along the waves carved on the door.

When the light went out to fill all the patterns, the patterns were completed as one sentence.

“… … It will be alright.”

The completed sentence was written in ancient language.

[I am the custodian of truth, also the arbiter of the world.]

“… … This sentence, somewhere.”

Yes, it was the first dungeon I went to with Cybel, Aster, Queenie, and Jane. This is what the stone statue of the sanctuary there was talking about.

If so, at the end of this sentence.

[Tell the god you believe in.]

“Also.”

However, the stone statue in the sanctuary said, ‘Give me the glory to face God.’

If you don’t say that, does that mean that even if you say you believe in a God, you can’t face God?

‘Is this door original? Did the statue slightly deform this?’

It was none other than me who cleared that dungeon.

I didn’t know how to clear it, but by chance.

But regardless of the clear, my answer to this question is always one.

“I do not believe in God.”

I recite that word in ‘ancient language’.

immediately after speaking.

kugugu

The door moved on its own with a heavy sound. As if to welcome my visit, or to tempt me inward.

‘At the time of the dungeon and now. The answer is this.’

When I cleared the dungeon, I didn’t have time to think about it, so I just passed by.

Now that I think about it, that dungeon is very strange.

On this continent, the sanctuary is not only in that dungeon. The sanctuary is hidden in several dungeons, ruins, and areas that people have not yet explored.

And the sanctuary rewards those who meet for the first time. A reward to face God. The player, Aster Evans, finds the sanctuary, meets Baldur, and proceeds with his help.

However, most sanctuaries have nothing to do with clearing dungeons. From a game point of view, it’s like a bonus score.

However, only the dungeon I went to in the first place had the sanctuary set as a condition for clearing it. You must answer that you do not believe in God.

‘A stone statue can know a person’s divine power. Lies don’t work.’

In other words, as long as the main character of this game is Aster, the player can never solve the dungeon. There is no way Aster, who is receiving Baldur’s power, can say ‘I don’t believe in God’, and even if he says, the statue cannot believe it.

However, no one can say that they do not believe in God in this world where God is all-inclusive to expect a solution from someone who has no power.

So, the person who can solve the dungeon from the beginning,

‘I was the only one.’

Someone from another world. I am the only one from a world where it is not strange that I do not believe in God.

Questions and answers as if knowing the existence of another world.

The real answer is the contradiction in which we must reject God rather than giving a reward to face the God we believe in.

What is the purpose of this question?

‘You can find out if you go in.’

With some anticipation and concern, I stepped inside slowly.

I expected it while going down the stairs, but inside it was a huge cavity. However, there was something at the end of each wall of the shooting. I walked slowly along the wall.

“… … Is this a stone statue?”

As I got closer to the wall, I saw finely carved stone statues. Almost all of the statues were human, and they were about the same height as me. In other words, it seemed to fit the height of a real person.

‘These are the faces I’ve seen anywhere.’

I can’t remember the stone statues, but somehow they were familiar. However, since they are not real people, they are stone statues, so it was not easy to think of someone exactly. Are these people who were looking for information on the game or something?

The stone statues were endlessly lined up, and they were stacked on top of each other. It was a number that required an area as huge as this basement.

and.

“… … what is this.”

i saw

Passing by one of the numerous stone statues, which I thought were only familiar, I found a stone statue that I could never ignore, and it hardened as it was.

I looked at it like a nail in my eye.

Slowly, goosebumps rose from his fingertips, and an eerie wind blew past him. I couldn’t figure out what my feelings were right now, what my feelings were ultimately heading.

I just muttered as if to confirm the identity of the stone statue I was looking at once again.

“… … Merlin.”

Archmage Merlin.

He met in the sacred forest of Tayburn and was seated as a stone statue.

The other stone statues were silent, but Merlin, who had encountered them in person, knew for sure.

‘Yes, Merlin is dead. Merlin in the woods was an illusion of a dream.’

Even so, why is the statue of Merlin here? What is Merlin’s relationship to these numerous statues?

‘Nope. Wait a moment.’

Then I realized something and looked around again. As I looked back on the path I had walked, I checked the faces of the stone statues I had passed.

‘… … Surely.’

I knew. Why are these stone statues familiar, and why do they not immediately come to mind even though they are familiar?

“They are heroes.”

In the distant past of Etius, the heroes who built up achievements and died in history.

The numerous stone statues I saw were all heroes of legend.

“Archmage Merlin, Bellerophon, Sigurd, Roland… … .”

Since they were all considered heroes, the identity of each one was guessed. Of course, I don’t remember all the heroes, but the famous heroes gradually came to mind when I saw the stone statues. The description of the stone statue was so elaborate.

“… … King Arthur.”

And in front of me, who stopped walking again, was King Arthur.

Arthur Pendragon. A legendary king with the knights of the round table.

He left a message to Merlin. Written in ancient language, ‘For the giant who will overthrow the gods’.

But Merlin did not know the ancient language. So Arthur probably wasn’t talking to Merlin. Leaving those words for someone who will come to Merlin someday.

I didn’t understand what it meant though.

Little by little, the meaning seems to be showing.

‘Most myths have giants.’

Titan in Greek mythology, Jotun in Norse mythology. They are both strangely opposed to God. The gods on the verge of collapse, or the protagonists who brought them down.

If there was a confrontation between a god and a giant in this game as well.

Those words that King Arthur left as if revering giants, maybe.

The hero is on the side of the giant, or.

‘Giant is another name for a hero.’

In the long history of Etius, a giant and a hero have been distinguished. The giant is ‘evil’ who tries to kill the gods, and the hero is ‘good’ who tries to protect humans.

However, if the two are actually the same entity.

“… … Is this a reward?”

It’s a pity that it’s not a reward for combat or magic.

It seems to have gotten a bigger harvest than that.

I discovered the identity of the weaving.

“Yeah, weaving wasn’t made for fighting in the first place.”

If you think about it, it’s normal.

What is created by weaving is originally an illusion.

I use black cloth and menosorpo and somehow use it for battle.

Of course, that wasn’t the original intention.

Each weapon, armor, and tool are displayed on the 3rd floor of the ground by type.

And a huge basement where heroes are kept as stone statues.

Weaving was not a skill to be used as a weapon.

From the beginning, it was an archive.

In order not to disappear no matter what happens, to pass on the truth hidden by history and time to future generations.

I saw King Arthur again.

“… … I hope to see you someday.”

Stone statues of countless heroes sleeping in my workshop.

I’d love to hear from them someday.

He gave a lot of hints, but there are still many things I don’t know.

In the end, in order to clear this game, the day will come when you will have to uncover the truth hidden in the world.

* * *

Heldre died, and the Indus, which stuck like leeches, was disbanded.

After that, Constell’s life was just peaceful for Frontier.

According to the original game, the day the Indus would revolutionize was long after, but it collapsed quickly, so boring days continued as if the schedule was empty.

Of course, from the Frontier’s point of view, it had secured the most important time needed for maintenance.

First of all, Frontier reduced the overly tight daily schedule. It’s a big deal if you fall asleep unexpectedly like last time. I was lucky then, and if the timing wasn’t right, the Indus personnel might have woken up first and missed it again.

Do it in a way that does not cause fatigue, but so that training with weaving and Atjie can continue. These were the basic guidelines of Frontier.

The other named characters were also very passionate about training during the second semester. In particular, Aster’s growth was remarkable.

‘Maybe it’s just a rumor.’

Aster thought. A recent rumor caught his ear.

It was rumored that Frontier was deeply involved in the collapse of the Indus.

Having suffered from rumors before, he decided not to be swayed by rumors that had no source or evidence, but the story was different from the rumors of Frontier.

‘Is my thinking right?’

Aster had been suspicious of Frontier from the beginning.

Frontier is missing out on a school trip.

It was in the name of volunteering, and he actually worked as a life guard, but it was difficult to completely dispel doubts by that alone. I haven’t found the Frontier anywhere except the Lifeguard.

Above all, the process by which the Indus collapsed is bizarre.

Originally, it seems that Constell carried out the operation, but in the end, they were arrested at Heldre’s mansion. That is, it is the enemy’s base.

At that time, most of the teachers in Constell were busy leading their students back to Constell from Cropole, so how could they capture all Indus personnel? And then the Zodiac Heldre.

‘You can’t be left behind.’

Frontier destroyed the Indus.

It doesn’t matter if this absurd rumor is true or false. For Aster, it is just a burning material to grow.

Perhaps other people had similar thoughts, and the eyes of Aten, Cybel, and others had also changed.

In order not to fall behind, to get closer, to protect him.

Each had a slightly different purpose, but the work to be done was clear.

getting stronger.

The passion of the named characters ignited into a huge fire due to the existence of the frontier.

——Time passes.

The midterm and final exams of the second semester have passed.

The process was ordinary. In writing, Frontier was able to get a solid score thanks to the weaving, and in practice, Frontier was now in a position to set some rankings.

And the final exam of the second semester meant something else.

Continents that gradually drop in temperature with the seasons. A great cold flowed slowly down from the north.

winter. The season when the demons outside became more ferocious and descended south to trample the realm of humans.

The Empire sends more soldiers to the wall, the people inside pray every day for the wall not to fall, and those who guard the wall are prepared to die in winter.

When the final exams were over and winter vacation arrived, as always in Constell.

smart

Frontier knocks on one door.

Hearing the response from within, he slowly opened the door to meet the owner of the room.

Ampere de Roach. As the head of state, he sees the peaceful face of Frontier. They both know each other’s thoughts. And we know better than anyone that we will never compromise with each other.

Facing Ampere’s eyes that were like a lion, whose skin seemed to tremble, said Frontier.

“Take me to the wall.”

Pretty sure that those statues will do something, there’s no way it is just an ordinary memorial, it is too intricate and useless to be a normal statue considering that it is designed so that it can only be unlocked by those from a different world, it might be some kind of secret gambit by the heroes who is facing the gods.

I mean, even Thanatos deliberately made a trigger that if someone use that ability to weave something to reality, he could descend and kill whoever it is. Baldur tries to put a seed of doubt to Aster about MC. I refuse believe that it is just a memorial statue that doesn’t do anything.

And either way, it is not the statue that is the reward, the reward is basically him getting the key to understand the truth behind this world, of the history that has been long lost to time or god’s intervention, I bet him figuring this out will be essential for him to overcome the destined bad ends in the future.
