Academy’s Weapon Replicator 213

Chapter 69 Antidote

Frontier took the last tool out of his hand. A metallic sound echoed on the floor.

Most of the tools here are seldom used. It was my first time using Frontier, so I just had to check how to use it one by one.

Of course, Edden was wounded in the process, but compared to the wounds he had suffered in battles so far, it was at a ridiculous level, and the pain would be much less.

“Hmm, what is this?”

Frontier mumbled as if it wasn’t interesting.

At first, the feeling of using the torture tools for the first time was quite interesting, but after looking at them all, I quickly got bored.

Of course, you could use these to torture Edden, but there was no need for that.

“… … .”

Edden kept his eyes out of focus and repeated shallow breathing.

He was already broken.

The sadness of losing a companion, his fate in the face of death, and above all, the fact that his family stood before the frontier’s blade, he could not bear.

Above all, because it was his own karma that was made in the process of harming people, not the right process, he was crushed by a huge sense of guilt.

slurp-

dump.

The weapon that bound Edden disappeared, and he fell from the wall and fell to the floor.

All restraints were gone, but he did not stand up. He already knew that it was impossible to get out of here, and above all, he had no will to do so.

“Eden Hamerlot.”

Frontier looked down at Edden. Edin called, but there was no response.

Whoops!

Frontier kicked Edden. The auror wasn’t included, but it wasn’t even looked at.

It was then that Edin saw the Frontier.

Frontier lowered his posture and made eye contact with Edden.

“Eden Hamerlot, look at me.”

“… … !”

Frostbite-like gaze. Edden nodded spontaneously at Frontier’s words.

“If you leave this place, make everything that happened today irrelevant to me. The way is left up to you.”

“… … Regardless… … .”

“okay. It wasn’t me who killed them. Tell me.”

“… … Frontier didn’t kill him… … .”

Frontier nodded.

“Remember my face straight.”

“… … !”

“If this incident has even the slightest impact on me, you and I will meet again. Keep in mind what I know of you. If you don’t want to see this face again, you better be careful.”

Edden swallowed.

Frontier thought that Edden had understood enough and turned around.

There was no need to ask the location of the lab. As Edden predicted, Frontier had already extracted information through his ‘analysis’ skill.

“I will leave my workshop for another hour. In the meantime, take care of your body and equipment. Of course, if you don’t want to organize it, you can. All I want is the fact that I wasn’t here.”

At Frontier’s words, Edden looked at him blankly for a moment.

“… … Are you saving me?”

Soon Edden asked Frontier as he was walking.

Frontier answered as he walked away.

“Whatever you do in the future, you will live.”

Frontier speaking as if giving for Edden.

But.

“Like today.”

Realizing the meaning of that single word, Edden lowered his head.

* * *

“Why is Edin so late!”

Constell’s underground laboratory.

In the middle of the night, from the room that was lit up until late at night, a scream could be heard.

“sorry. I haven’t been contacted since I got the call that I was coming to Constell… … .”

“Damn, how long do you have to stop?”

The research team’s leader, Angus Mason, bit his nails in nervousness.

While Edden is in charge of negotiating with demons, human samples, and coordination with pros, Angus Mason is a key figure in the study of mana injection itself.

Recently, it succeeded in suppressing the symptoms of mana injection, but as a reward, it was turned into a deadly poison to the human body, which was a situation in which research was being set back.

‘If the injection was supposed to be taken by Elin… … .’

Elin is a Constell student who Eden brought in long ago as a talent to become a professional.

At the time, this research was not at the level it is now as dangerous as it is today.

Of course, Edden and Angus knew that the research would eventually make it to this stage, but Elin didn’t even dream of it.

At this time, the research was limited to putting mana into liquid, so Edden eagerly explained to Elin about the effects and usefulness of liquid mana, and Elin, who believed in Edden’s reputation and ability, believed and accepted the story.

At that time, it was clear why Edin had brought Elin in.

Mana injections are more effective for people with less mana and have fewer side effects.

Of course, it works for people with a lot of mana, but it was quite dangerous before the lethality dropped to the level it is now.

On the other hand, people with low mana from the beginning had less repulsion, and the side effects were not so severe.

Elin was the best material from that point of view. Constell has the best swordsmanship, while the amount of mana is too low. He was the most suitable person for this study.

and just in time.

“I’m back.”

The door to the lab opened, and a familiar face appeared to Angus.

“Oh, Elin. Who am I talking about?”

“here.”

Elin pushed the back of the man he had restrained and held it to Angus.

Angus chuckled.

“Ellin, you are finally following me.”

“Because there is nothing I can do.”

Elin closed her eyes.

“Wow, great.”

Meanwhile, the arrested man made a voice that did not fit the atmosphere.

He was Diego Aiger.

“I was called by the student council president and went there with an honorable heart, but I was caught in an instant, and when I arrived, I realized that it was a lab full of strange glass tubes. It’s something to see and live for a long time.”

Dier looked around and said admiringly. His face was quite cheerful as his hands were tied and he was unable to move.

“Dier Ager, welcome here.”

Angus raised his arms with a friendly smile. Of course, I wondered what it would mean when he was arrested, but Dier’s smile was too bright.

“nice to meet you. Do you know me?”

“I know. You are the best person for our research.”

best fit.

With that said, Dier is the most suitable person in this study after Elin.

Of course, he didn’t have as good swordsmanship as Elin, but he was wise, he had good judgment, and he had good eyes. And less mana than Elin. It may have fewer side effects than Elin.

“okay. It is an honor to be the right person.”

“Yes, yes. Then would you mind standing over there and waiting for me? I have something to prepare.”

“It is.”

Dier obeyed Angus’s instructions and climbed onto the metal plate. It was a device similar to a device used in a hospital that scans the human body to determine its composition and checks mana.

“By the way, student Dier. Do you know what this place is?”

Angus believed that Dier’s innocent smile was because he didn’t understand the situation properly.

Since the student council president has led him, he must have been judging that even if he was imprisoned, there would be no great danger.

But Dier said.

“Of course I do.”

“Know?”

“Yes. A place to study mana injections, right?”

A neat and cool answer. Angus widened his eyes at those words.

“… … How did know?”

“There are a lot of rumors going around about Constell lately. There’s also someone who came to scout me a while ago. He looked at me and said ‘the right person’.”

Angus blinked in surprise at Dier’s explanation, then asked again.

“Then why do you look so good? Don’t you feel it’s dangerous?”

“Isn’t it dangerous? why?”

Dier tilted his head as if he did not understand.

“If I get a mana injection, my mana increases, right?”

“… … Of course it is.”

“There is no one who refuses to be strong!”

“Did you say no when you were scouting?”

“At the time, I didn’t understand how it made me stronger, but knowing that there is such a clear answer is a different story.”

At that, Angus looked at Dier for a moment and then smiled hahaha.

“Yes, yes! Don’t be like that! After all, you are both wise and good at the same time. Ha ha ha ha!”

Angus moved on to the device to scan Dier. When the button was pressed, the plate that Dier was stepping on lit up.

“Wait a minute. How long does the scan take?”

“yep.”

After answering like a loyal subordinate, Dier looked around leisurely.

He looked at Elin.

“If I had known about this, there would have been no need for me to arrest you, senpai.”

“… … I didn’t know you would react like that.”

Elin looked at Dier and said as if it was ridiculous.

Elin had heard quite a bit about Dier. In fact, rather than being wise, the sympathy and goodness that shined within that wisdom attracted more attention.

But the current Dier doesn’t have that kind of image. He looks like one of many fools out there trying to get a mana shot just to get stronger. Did she see it wrong?

‘Well, that’s not what I’m talking about.’

Erin let out a small sigh.

──It’s been quite some time since Elin didn’t get the antidote.

After receiving the wrong mana injection, Elin continued to alternate between injections and antidote.

She herself doesn’t know where the mana shots and the antidote are located. If you just follow the order, you get an antidote, and right after that, you get a mana shot to intimidate her.

However, at least Elin did not receive orders to harm people. He would rather die than receive such an order.

Even when he fought with Frontier, he had no intention of killing Frontier, and he predicted that the students would not be greatly harmed without him. Just like Frontier did.

Most of all, she wanted to be killed by Frontier then.

But the kidnapping of Dier clearly crossed the line. It was an order that Elin would never follow. If it were the usual.

‘What do you think, Frontier?’

Today, a crow delivered a note to Elin. It was a note from Frontier.

The content was simple.

I hope you will obey any orders today. I didn’t know whether it was irresponsible or full of responsibility.

‘So when I came here, I thought Frontier would arrive first.’

Elin narrowed her eyes slightly. Little by little, I felt my body temperature drop. The moment when the antidote was needed was drawing near.

“──Senior.”

At the sound of that voice, Elin looked at Dier.

“You look tired.”

“… … !”

Dier’s words as if piercing through Elin’s body. Dier smiled and said.

“I’ve always been curious. Why did the senior become the student council president? I don’t think it fits.”

“… … .”

Elin didn’t answer him.

Angus listened for a moment, but then ignored it. Because it felt like Dier was spitting out any small talk.

“Senior was originally famous for sleepwalking, right? In order to recharge his stamina while walking, he said he was able to sleep while moving, except in an emergency. I couldn’t understand quickly that a person who values physical health management that much is doing something other than swordsmanship. The fact that you are doing a very tiring job of being the student body president.”

“… … therefore?”

Elin began to be somewhat wary of Dier. I didn’t know what Dier was going to say next.

But Dier had no choice but to detonate the bomb.

“Is that a signal? A senior’s SOS signal.”

“… … !”

“Even if you look fine on the outside, you were telling the people around you that the situation around you is not very good right now, right? If you are just a simple Constell student, you can hide it even if you die, but as the student council president of Constell, if something happens, people around you can’t help but pay attention. It was a minimum security device to not die.”

“Hey you… … .”

“You bastard, what are you talking about!”

Interrupting Elin, Angus was indignant. Even an idiot could understand what Dier meant.

“Ellen-senpai.”

Dier completely ignored Angus and said:

“You look more and more tired.”

“!”

“I thought this bastard was sane, but he was just crazy! Guys, keep your mouth shut!”

The men who had been waiting for Angus’ command came out.

Since it is not a proud experiment in the first place here, combat personnel who can prepare for sudden events are always on standby.

They were not as good as the pros Edden led, but they were competent enough.

They slowly approached Dier, who was tied up. While imprisoned, Dier, who was not that good in pure combat power in the first place. There seemed to be no chance of him winning.

By the way.

Whoops, whoops!

The handcuffs that bound Dier’s arms behind him were lightly broken. It was impossible to do with any power.

His mana exploded with explosive power.

“Well, what, you bastard!”

Dier’s appearance was almost identical to that of Elin.

Dier pulled something out of his pocket.

It was a syringe filled with liquid.

“You, when did you do it!”

At Angus’s cry, Dier looked at the syringe and said happily.

“Hahaha, I was curious about this.”

fault!

In an instant, Dier moved at an incredible speed.

As soon as Dier stepped forward, the approaching combat agents moved.

Although Dier’s mana has grown, they are also formidable veterans. They attacked from all directions and completely surrounded Dier.

however.

“What?”

“no?”

They escaped Dier by perfectly capturing their approaching hands and feet, and the gap between them.

Dier now has finally been able to follow his eyes with his body. And the movement of the fighters was too slow in view of his fuselage eyesight.

Dier wasn’t faster than that. Dier is simply moving with maximum efficiency in the shortest time.

“Hey, hey!”

Dier caught Angus. He tried to escape, but it was clear in his eyes where he was going, so Angus gave his back to him so easily.

And the needle went into his neck.

“How are you, Mr Angus? Do you want to be strong too?”

“Heh, heh heh!”

Angus is not a combat agent in the first place. Even if mana has risen here, I don’t know how to use it properly.

In other words, the mana injection that Dier was holding was nothing but poison to Angus.

“Come on, answer me, Mr. Angus.”

Dier spread the sullen life along with the mana that was filled with it.

“Where are you? antidote.”

Hey, the guy has too live with basically the sword of Damocles hanging over not only him but all his family members for the rest of his life, with the knowledge that if he did something wrong and got caught by Frontier he will have to watch aseveryone he care about will die one by one before his turn comes. That is already a punishment I believe, and Edden sure do believe so, with his horrified expression and all.

I doubt Edden will ever get a good night sleep again.

I would even bet Edden *wish* it would just end with his death.

I am unreasonably upset the author once again refused to kill a character.

It’s like the nonsensical indus climax all over again
