Childhood Friend Is a Genius Wizard chapter 100

Childhood Friend Is a Genius Wizard 100

EP12. Epilogue – Confession

We need to find Levy.

In response to the throbbing pain in my shoulder, I first took out a bandage from my bag and wrapped it roughly. Even if the wound didn’t heal this much, just press like this and get proper treatment later when you go back to the village.

Right now, finding Levy was the priority, more than anything else.

I continued to move toward Henard without stopping. I couldn’t be sure that Levi had returned to the village, but I thought there was a good chance now.

How on earth did things get so twisted?

When I brought up such a question in my mind, the person that came to mind was definitely Wendy.

She still couldn’t understand why the boy would suddenly do that. However, that wasn’t the important thing right now, so it was an issue that could be postponed until later.

I thought about Levi again.

It shouldn’t take long to reach the village since I’m on the hillside, not far from Henerd.

Then let’s check the inn as soon as we return to the village. If you are not at the inn, then…

What should I do then?

Honestly, the vagueness came ahead. If Levy really decided to hide, there was no way for me to find out.

Should I just wait blindly for Levy to calm her mind?

But I didn’t want to. It was because I felt some kind of uneasiness.

Of course, I’m sure there are no enemies around here that could threaten Levy.

Apart from that, the fact that I left Levy alone made me uneasy.

Maybe it’s because of her old memories?

Today wasn’t the first time I’d been looking for Levi like this.

As far as my childhood was concerned, I ran so hard to find Levy twice.

Especially now, the situation is quite similar to when I first found Levy.

At that time, as now, I trembled with anxiety and cried out for Levy while walking the mountain all day long.

On that day, Levi was fortunately unharmed.

My uneasiness and worry, which kept piling up, disappeared without a trace when I saw Levy’s smile.

It was love that filled that empty space instead.

Yes. I’ve always liked you since childhood.

I can be sure it’s not just because they’re childhood friends.

If I meet Levi for the first time now, I will fall in love again.

The reason I love you is not because I’ve seen you for a long time.

Not because a child named Levi was your childhood friend, but because you were a child named Levi.

Are you of the same mind as me?

It was a problem that I didn’t have to worry about. It’s okay if I meet you and ask you anyway.

I started to see the scenery of the village down the mountain.

Now we really have come. Turn left here and go a little further and you’ll come out of the mountain.

I was about to run along the road without delay, but stopped for a moment.

When I stopped running and turned my head the other way, I noticed something I hadn’t noticed at first glance.

A small road hidden behind thick trees and bushes.

After staring at it for a while, I was about to go on my way.

Because there was no reason to be sure that Levy had gone down a road that was so invisible and easy to miss.

The reasonable choice now was, of course, to return to Henerd without delay.

The road to the right, no matter how you look at it, is far from getting closer to the village.

In that case, of course it is correct to go left.

Then I remembered.

A piece of advice given to me by Riel noona, whom I met a while ago.

When you have to choose between the left and the right, you say choose the right.

····Is now the time to make the choice your sister talked about?

I didn’t know. I am not an apostle of prophecy.

I paused and pondered for a moment. But I couldn’t keep thinking about it for long.

For some reason, my head was screaming that I had to go to Levi as soon as possible.

Soon I made up my mind and took a step.

My steps were heading towards a narrow road hidden by thick trees and bushes.

Please, I sincerely hope that this choice was the right one.

***

I still don’t know the answer to whether my choice was right.

After passing the winding road for a while, only flat terrain and dense trees welcomed me, as if I had come off the mountain before I knew it.

I was worried that I might have returned to the forest where I encountered the troll, but I didn’t turn back and just kept moving forward.

How far did they go, the sunlight that could not reach the ground covered by the trees slowly spread to the ground.

I was getting out of the woods.

The moment I finally found the exit of the mountain where the light came in brightly.

The memories of that day came to my mind as if they were unfolding right in front of my eyes.

I was relieved to hear your voice and lost myself in silly thoughts.

What lies on the other side of the mountain? I thought there might be ancient ruins or dungeons.

And then I…

“Levy…? Are you there…?”

At some point, I was back as an 8-year-old boy.

I kept running. To meet you

I finally got out of the mountain and frowned at the bright light, then slowly opened my eyes and looked ahead.

And I saw.

I could only stare blankly.

On that day, all the scenes I saw the moment I fell in love were unfolding as they were.

Above the endless fields.

Tens of thousands of flowers spreading brightly and filling the ground without gaps.

A warm sunset sinking down before you know it.

And.

You are the same as when you were young.

Your back, unchanged from the little girl I fell in love with.

You looked at the sunset with your back turned and smiled brightly as you looked back at me.

When I saw that, I realized.

Today this day.

This dazzlingly beautiful sight.

And

Your smile…

“Levy.”

When I called her, you, her young figure, answered with her bright smile.

“Shaun. Isn’t it pretty here?”

“Levy.”

“Yes! Let’s make this a secret place just for the two of us! How is it?”

“Levy.”

“And… Let’s be together forever! Huh? Is Shawn okay?”

“Levy. Stop now.”

Then little Levy stopped her and looked at me.

“Why? Don’t you like it?”

“I like you. So much that I will never forget it for the rest of my life. I love you enough to say it’s the most precious memory I’ve ever lived.”

“Then why are you telling me to stop? Sean likes this too. Huh?”

I shook my head and answered.

“Still, this is not what I wanted.”

“Then what? What do you want? If this is the happiest moment…! Just like this…”

I slowly approached Levi.

Then little Levy cried out, stepping behind her little by little as if in fear.

“Oh no! Don’t come closer! Then the magic will break…”

“It’s okay. Levi. There is no need to run away.”

As Levy said, the closer I got to her, the more her magic slowly shattered.

The endlessly stretched fields turned into narrow hills.

The tens of thousands of brightly bloomed flowers disappeared, leaving only lush bushes.

Even the sunset that colored the world in scarlet disappeared, and the sky turned into a dark night sky.

“Stop. Sean, don’t come…”

The cute little girl with pigtails has grown into a beautiful woman with her hair braided to one side.

Levy, who wore a bright smile mask with her magic, was actually crying endlessly.

“Levy. I like you. I love you.”

“… Are you lying to comfort me?”

“You don’t have to pay attention to what others say. Do you really think I don’t like you?”

“・・・・That’s not true.”

I carefully wiped the tears that flowed down her white and tender cheeks.

Then she gently grabbed Levi’s cheeks and lifted her head up to meet her gaze.

Levy tried to avoid my gaze and then asked a question in a small voice.

“Then why did you tell me to stop doing magic?”

“Because I wanted to see you. The real you, not Levi covered by magic. And.”

“····And?”

I smiled.

“Because today will be a happier day than then.”

She finally showed the bewildered Levi the gift she had prepared in her arms.

When she carefully opened the ring case, she did not know that Levy’s eyes would fall into it.

She had a beautiful emerald ring that matched her eyes.

“····This.”

“I don’t know when to give it to you after buying it.”

I removed her ring and lifted Levi’s hand. Levi’s hand, which came without resistance, made me think that it was pretty even though it resembled her owner’s hand.

Carefully put her emerald ring on Levi’s ring finger. Then again, tears flowed from Levi’s eyes. But this time, unlike before, it didn’t seem like tears of sadness.

I’ve been thinking countless times about how to talk to her while giving her a ring.

Unlike Levy, she had no particular interest in the love between a man and a woman, so she did not have the confidence to make a skillful confession.

“I love you.”

That’s why she recited the line from the fairy tale of her childhood, Levi’s favorite, The Princess and the Wizard.

It’s been a while since I heard that story, but I still remember the lines.

From noble mtl dot com.

“I only realized it after meeting you. The only thing greater than magic is love. You are the magic that came to me.”

It seems that there were more lines after this, but it is impossible to follow all of them.

Although a bit embarrassing, I told Levy her sincerity.

“I promised you before. To continue to be together.”

“Yes.”

“Let’s promise another one.”

“What kind of promise is this?”

Her throat was completely hoarse, perhaps because she had cried so much.

“To be together for life.”

“…It’s the same thing.”

“The promise we made earlier was missing how to be together. So, today’s promise is to decide how we will be together.”

Levi listened to me, and her crying stopped. She stared blankly at the ring.

It was as if he was contemplating whether this was a dream or not.

“Levi, with me…”

“Good.”

“····You haven’t finished talking yet, have you? I don’t even know what’s good…”

“I like Shawn too.”

She was curious about why Levy had such a reaction earlier, but now she seems to know.

It is said that people become dazed when they hear a direct confession from someone they like.

“No, I love you. It’s not that I love Sean because I’ve known him for a long time. If I had just met Sean for the first time, I would have loved him.”

I looked back at the sight of the place where we were standing.

Although it wasn’t a secret place full of memories, I thought this place was just as beautiful as it was.

That’s because the important thing wasn’t the scenery.

It doesn’t matter where you were at that moment. It only matters who you were with.

This moment with you.

Now this place was the most beautiful stage in the world.

Soon there was a moment of silence between us. I said with an awkward laugh.

“Then we… Are they no longer childhood friends, but lovers?”

“Shaun. You idiot?”

Levy looked at me pitifully and added with a smile.

“Why do you ask such obvious things?”

I was relieved to see Levy back to normal. Taking advantage of my carelessness, Levy launched a surprise attack.

Sweet texture felt on the lips.

Your red-hot face in front of me was full of happiness.

That’s why I

I immediately closed my eyes.

I realized.

This happy moment of today.

It will become an unforgettable memory and will be remembered forever.

  1. LuxX says:

The author is clearly passionate about drama, so the novel has many superfluous situations. Just hope it subsides.

  2. shelwyn shelwyn says:

Damn, it was a lot less impact full than the previous confession. I think the author didn’t need this blue haired girl to make the scene more dramatic. It should have just been them walking back and Mc deciding to take the road on the right and doing it.
