EP4. Epilogue – Entering Laes
After winning the battle with Orki Magna, Shaun buried the merchant. Fortunately, Kren’s life was spared.
Sean informed Hector that the valley was blocked by a landslide, and Hector, who was unaware of it, thanked him as he was on a quest to find Orki Magna.
With the fainted Kren on horseback, Sean and Levy set out across the mountains to Laes with the mercenaries.
On the way, Gania cautiously spoke to Sean.
“That…, Thank you so much earlier. I live thanks to you.”
“No. I did what I had to do.”
“Sean is such a wonderful person. My sister will like it.”
“Sister?”
“Yes, there is an older sister who is an adventurer in the city, but she is completely like an apostle of justice?”

She took the lead in the front, said Hector.

Hector looked at the two and said.
“Welcome. To the city of adventure, Laes.”
They came down the mountain and circled around the entrance to the city. “I’m back after defeating Orchi Magna! Open the door!”

Shawn and Levy didn’t have a clue, but Orki Magna was one of the strongest monsters left in the vicinity of Laes. Children were playing, lovers were whispering love, and adventurers were looking for a party to join them. Truly a city. The city of adventure, Raes, seemed close to the utopia Sean and Levy had drawn.
Hector looked at the two of them looking around the city in a daze and said.
“I was the same when I first came to the city. Still, now is not the time to look. Follow me.”
With that said, Hector pointed. Cren collapsed on a horse. She’s definitely not in any danger of life, but she’d better get treatment sooner rather than later.
The two nodded and followed Hector. The place they arrived at was the silent wolf’s hideout, a clan led by Hector. As Hector entered, he explained to Shawn and Levy.
“Even in our mercenary corps, there is a guy who plays the role of a doctor. He helps us in battle and is injured, so let us heal him.”
There was nothing wrong with Sean and Levy. He knew nothing about the city anyway, so there was no need to decline the favor.
Hector ordered her men to take Kren away. And the other mercenaries also leave for a break, and Hector, Sean, and Levy are left. There were only three. Hector said.
“You can stay here if you want, but I don’t recommend it. It’s a pretty rough place for a single girl to live in.”

“This is nothing compared to your achievements. And as promised, I will recommend you guys as adventurers. Take a break today and come back here tomorrow. Gania will guide you guys.”
After Sean and Levy agreed, they left the clan. It was only when the two of us were left that I realized it. We’re in a really new city. Now the adventure has begun.
The two of them, who had been standing still, decided to move.
“First, let’s go to the inn Mr. Hector mentioned and unpack.”

“Good! It’s our first time in the city, so let’s look around.”
Sean and Levy followed Hector’s instructions. I was a bit lost, but as he said, I was able to find the sleeping deer inn. Sleeping roe deer, what does it mean?
Sean slowly opened the inn door. As soon as I opened the door, I was greeted with warmth and the scent of delicious food, and I heard a loud noise.
It’s completely different from the inn in my town. Shaun, who once again thought of Wilhelm, who was looking at the inn in town, decided to focus on the current situation again.
Looking around, I saw that many people were sitting on the first floor eating food and drinking alcohol even though it was not meal time yet. When the innkeeper saw them enter, he called them out with a finger.
Shaun and Levy hesitated and slowly approached the atmosphere they were not used to. The innkeeper looked at the two of them for a while before speaking.
“This inn does not accept any guests. So what did you come for?”
“I want to stay for a long time… That, Hector-san will be able to come here…”

After thinking for a while about Sean’s words, the owner looked at the boy and the girl alternately and said.
“I don’t know how I got Hector’s recommendation, but… Well, it won’t be a lie.”

“Of course it shouldn’t be. If you play around with that name in this city, neither mouse nor bird will know. Anyway, you can use the innermost room on the second floor.”
With that said, the innkeeper threw what appeared to be the room key to Sean.
Sean, who was momentarily taken aback by the innkeeper’s bloody words, asked back.

“That’s the only room left. If you don’t like it, is there anything special? You should look elsewhere.”

Shaun looked at Levy. She was expecting something from Levy, but Levy was already heading for her room ahead of her. Levi looked back at her and said calmly.
“Shaun? What are you doing?”

“Long-term stays cost one silver coin a month, free soup for meals, and other items need to be ordered separately. Since he was introduced by Hector, I’ll make it cheaper.”

“Go back.”

Let’s go back as he said, and only then did Sean realize the true nature of magic. Levi’s face had changed. Her radiantly innocent blonde hair became her normal auburn hair, and her sparkling green eyes were replaced with the common brown eyes that can be found everywhere.
That wasn’t all. Her nose lowered, her lips thickened, and her eyes seemed to be slightly upturned. Of course, all these explanations were in comparison to her original face, which was so beautiful. In reality, she seemed to be just an ordinary woman in the city.
Shaun looked forward again. He held her close to her, and then she returned to her original form.

Shaun admired the mystery of magic and the beauty she felt all over again. Seeing Sean’s bewildered appearance, Levy groaned. She said with a laugh.
“This is Levi’s power! Of course it can’t last long, but hehehe. Now, shall we go?”
And Levy, as always, grabbed Sean and walked in front of her. At Levy’s unchanging attitude from her childhood, Sean smiled slightly for some reason.
The two left the inn and looked around the town. There were really many people. Especially when I was looking around her market, there were so many people that I was worried about losing her.
So Sean used that worry as an excuse to grab Levy’s hand.
Levy looked up at her Sean in surprise when Sean suddenly grabbed his hand. Sean struggled to excuse himself as his face turned completely red.
“…That’s because there are so many people. You never know.”
At that, Levy burst into laughter. Sean grew redder at Levy’s reaction.
But Levy wasn’t much different either. From the moment Sean held his hand, he had hoped that his heart skipped a beat. Levy took Sean’s hand, reddening down to her ears.
“…That’s right. I can’t let go.”
So the two held each other’s hands and walked through Laes.
