How to Survive at the Academy 73

Winter (6)

“Ahhh~~.”

“Thanks for your efforts.”

Submission of conference agenda documents, submission of new student placement test plan, basic readiness check, preparation of academic schedule adjustment plan after school starts, final exam results settlement and placement, and preparation for full professor examination are all completed.

Assistant Professor Claire buried her head in her work desk, feeling her soul draining away.

“If you do well for next week’s freshman placement test, you will be able to rest for the rest of the vacation.”

“Anise is great. It’s steel stamina. Look, there’s no skin at all. I’m already getting keratin… Is this… youth?”

Assistant Professor Claire turned her head and looked at the desk mirror with her head down. There was a body in the mirror.

On the other hand, the anise sitting at a large table in the center of the laboratory and surrounded by papers… I wonder if that is a person.

Watching him hand over documents in a sparkling and elegant look, it seems that he has just arrived at work and is in a state of great stamina.

This is the dignity that was honed while working alone as an assistant professor in Claire assistant professor’s laboratory, who still lacked research manpower.

He handles all the tasks he wasn’t even asked to do by himself, and he does all the chores so that the lab runs well… From Claire’s point of view, he has no choice but to respect him like his boss. I can’t tell who is the professor and who is the assistant.

‘As expected… I can’t trust the staff of external scholarship students.’

Meanwhile, Anise took a deep breath as she turned the papers over.

Unlike Anise, who is openly working as Claire’s assistant professor, it is difficult to expect a sense of belonging from the undergraduate scholarship staff.

Therefore, it is necessary to carefully check whether even a small task is handled well, whether it is entrusted with an important task or not.

The verification task itself takes a lot of effort, so it is not a very efficient manpower.

Not surprisingly, whether it is the 3rd year Onyx or the 1st year Clevius, the work is not done neatly. It may be difficult for a student to handle the paperwork that is tedious even with such trivial things, but I thought I was stupid for expecting the minimum level.

From noblemtl.com

Most of the time, Anise had to get back to work. The only person left untouched is Ed Rothtailer.

It was the manpower I was most concerned about, so Anise marked it closely, but surprisingly, it did not hold it at all.

If I hadn’t thought of arguing with Ed regarding Yenika, it would have been more efficient to have Anise on the other side. There is no point in being supervised by someone who can handle things well on their own.

There is nothing particularly flawed in the paperwork or practical processing itself. Usually, the student workforce is inexperienced, so they are not fluent in their work, and there are many cases where they are ignorant of even the smallest details.

However, Ed Roth-Taylor did not regard most problems as merely problems, but had a strong tendency to judge flexibly in a solution-oriented way.

For example, while going on a pre-exam field trip, I took a checklist and went out, but Ed Roth Taylor did not judge the site because it was limited to the checklist.

– ‘It would be better to close this entrance in advance, as students may enter it by mistake.’

– ‘My eyes are very slippery. Even on the day of the exam, it would be a bit difficult if it was this slippery.’

– ‘The scope of the test site is wider than I thought. You may need to adjust the difficulty by setting the range a little narrow, or by increasing the number of hidden magic stones if that is not feasible.’

‘I guess I didn’t live up to it unexpectedly…’

The practical problem-solving ability is a characteristic that is hard to find in those who have only lived the life of a noble aristocrat.

It looked somewhat unexpected. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t upset.

“By the way, did Anise go out with Ed? how is it? Isn’t it similar?”

“Isn’t it similar?”

“Umm… you don’t know about anise. Ed was excommunicated, right?”

“No, I know that.”

“okay? So this is all I know… Can I tell you a secret?”

Perhaps freed from the heavy workload, Claire assistant professor told Anise with a playful face.

“That Ed student, do you know where he lives? The vast forest north of Bachelor. I live alone in a hut in the northwest corner of that forest…!”

“…yes? Really?”

“yes. I had something to investigate at the time of the Ophelis building occupancy, so I followed it… Umm… This is a secret from Ed student…!”

This is the top secret about Jenica’s unrequited love. It is a fact that even Yenica did not tell others indiscriminately.

Anise swallowed her saliva and nodded her head.

“Well, he alone made a plausible camp in a much larger space than this lab…! Tools, workbenches, campfires, display racks, drying racks, smokers… Nothing seemed to be not handmade. He doesn’t look like that, but he’s more dexterous than I thought, right?”

“Yeah, right?”

“Besides, he even signed a spirit contract by himself. There are barriers to entry for spirit-sensitive training. I don’t know how they did it, but… they must have worked so hard.”

Only then did Anise seem to have a clue as to Ed’s problem-solving abilities.

Living on your own in the wild will lead to all sorts of practical problems. If you solve all kinds of difficult problems you will face right away, you will naturally accumulate that level of practical solution skills.

It is a practical sense that the nobles, who have lived with plants in the greenhouse, cannot obtain them even after their lifetime. It’s a seemingly insignificant ability, but Anise knows best how important it is.

“So when Anise followed Ed, he nodded his head~. Do you two have a lot of similarities?”

“Ed and me? What…”

“Yeah. Ed, have you seen the progress of his report card? Shall I show you?”

“Aren’t student transcripts not allowed to be freely disclosed to others?”

“Ah, ahh…”

Laughing haha, Assistant Professor Claire twisted her hair.

“Anyway, I immediately got a sense of how stubbornly he lived with him. That Professor Glast was even nodding his head? Despite this and that adverse environment, you work hard without any complaints. Because nobody really does it.”

“You’re talking about something embarrassing…”

“That, yes…? Still, I think it’s great.”

Having said that, Assistant Professor Claire raised her head and looked at Anise.

Anise, who suddenly lifted her head from the pile of documents piled up like a mountain, is now familiar with it.

He does not lose his dignity even though he suffers from heavy duty.

There are many reasons to be told that they are like aristocrats despite being a commoner who is no different.

“Umm… Thank you for appreciating me like that, but…”

Anise rubbed her chin and fell into trouble. Before she can think of Claire’s words, who overestimate her, an evaluation of Ed Roth-Taylor eventually enters her mind.

His evaluation, which has recently been reversed, has been concluded that it is simply because his evil deeds are being forgotten.

When it comes to how much Ed, who has been excommunicated and has been treated as an invisible person within the university, has grown personally, it is difficult to give a positive answer.

It’s a little bit different to believe only inverted evaluations and send support to Yenica to give her a pretty love.

However, when I bumped into it myself, there was really no place to grab a book. Even if you turn on the lights and search for it, you are just a boy, A, who lives a healthy life.

He doesn’t show his hard work or even try to be recognized. He is just that kind of person who lives by doing his heavy duty.

Coming all the way here, are you just a really good guy? even the thought of

quite a thought. Really, objectively, it’s just fine, isn’t it? He has a decent appearance, doesn’t show a particularly cocky attitude, and Claire’s assistant professor’s evaluation is good… I don’t think it’s just a playboy’s acting, but rather unnatural…

Looking back on Ed’s behavior I’ve seen in person, I think there’s something more gentle than I thought. It is a fact that I found out unintentionally, but the body seems to be in good shape, and as a result of holding it, the body odor is unexpectedly warm.

The fact that it doesn’t smell of sweat or musty, which is characteristic of students who work all day, makes it seem like they’re taking good care of it so that it doesn’t become a problem.

“…anise? Are you bruising?”

Huh, Anise swallowed her breath and shook her head.

“no. I was thinking about work for a while. It’s a little hot, can I open the window?”

“yes? Okay, let’s ventilate. Be careful not to blow the documents away in the wind.”

“Yes, Ep.”

It wasn’t a big deal, but Anise felt as if she had been hit in the back of the head with a hammer, and quickly swallowed her breath.

there’s nothing really wrong with it I just objectively evaluated a man named Ed.

I’ve never thought of grading others as a sin, but I feel a subtle sense of guilt gripping my chest, and I have goosebumps on my back.

Why? ‘, Anise doesn’t even try to accurately define that feeling.

However, he does not deny that he felt quite special about the fact that he resembled Edgar Anise.

It’s hard to share with someone just how hard and difficult the life you’ve been living with.

Sylvania’s best friends, who are naturally drunk on the romantic life of a girl, are accustomed to lively and cute topics rather than heavy and gloomy stories.

The same is true of male students who flirt with Anise’s appearance. Most of them are those who have never thought deeply about their lives, and have never reflected on anything beyond their childhood concerns as students.

That’s not really bad. A student is the most attractive law when being a student. In particular, it is strange to think that such a serious and heavy friend can easily be made in such a romantic Sylvania Academy.

Only those who have experienced it know that the cold reality is worse than the severe cold of midwinter.

Being drunk with that sympathy, revealing a little bit of sincerity to Ed was dismissed as a one-time mistake.

“No, your face is red. Is it too unreasonable?”

At Claire’s words, Anise felt as if her heart had been pierced by a knife.

I jumped up from my seat, went to the mirror, lifted my bangs, and checked my face. Seeing her expression in the mirror, Anise finished her self-objectification in an instant.

The reddening under the pupil, which was suddenly enlarged by surprise. Not to mention the heat.

This is a bit of a big deal.

I don’t think this is really a big deal, but it’s a really big deal.

Anise pulled the chair she was holding in her hand and sat down, trying to regain her composure by repeatedly washing her face with both hands. Still, the cold sweat continued to well up.

But there is an undeniable fact.

Anise’s specialty is to objectify vague things like emotions and minds. Now I can’t pretend I don’t know.

Still, this feeling is still unbearable. Early detection is the good news.

Emotions also have stages, so if you cut them out before they develop, you can capture them as much as you want.

As she managed to regain her composure, a single word from Assistant Professor Claire ran through Anise’s mind.

– ‘Besides, he even signed a spirit contract by himself. There are barriers to entry for spirit-sensitive training. I don’t know how he did it, but… he must have worked so hard.’

As Claire said, there is a barrier to entry into Spirit Sensitivity training, so unless a fairly high level spirit master helps, it is difficult to explain that level of growth.

If you were to say that Ed Roth Taylor was a fairly high-level elemental samurai, it was almost obvious who it was.

Plus, it was said that Ed Roth Taylor lived in a camp in the North Woods. The North Woods are completely Yenica’s realm.

If it were to be said that the spirit that Ed Roth Taylor had contracted with, it must have been a spirit in the ventral forest after all.

If Ed Roth Taylor’s contracted spirits always followed him, or at least witnessed him while he was with Anise…

Anise swallowed dry saliva.

“I’m done with work, would you like a snack…?? will i buy What should we eat…?”

Claire, an unaware assistant professor, was just begging for tea to be brewed.

It was a total mess.

Although the farm of the Palerover family was not very large, it was a healthy place that no one knew about in the village.

The fact that such high-quality livestock was able to be raised on such a small scale was greatly influenced by a family style that emphasizes internal stability and emphasizes harmony and coexistence.

As Yenika, the only daughter of the Palerover family, she never became arrogant despite her natural abilities.

Rather, it was her beautiful heart that was considerate of others and loved everyone, which made her shine far more than her ability.

– ‘Yenica is nice.’

– ‘There is no one who has a better heart than Yenica.’

It’s the same when you leave your hometown and come to Aken Island.

It is a life like the protagonist in a fairy tale loved by everyone. It was a life far from the word loneliness, and because of that, I was able to get a lot of sincere friends… But there is no such thing as a life without worries.

On a moonlit night, under Merylda’s guardian tree.

The guardian tree I looked up at while practicing the spirit response is still wide and green, as if the seasons were over.

Yenika snorted once.

– ‘Yenica Palerover is an ace among ace in name and reality, gaining the best recognition, popularity, and skill among preparatory 3rd graders. A merchant like me may be equipped with financial abilities, but the natural charm of attracting people is not common.’

– ‘Isn’t politics after all? It is important to have the support of students and to have loved ones as allies. Don’t worry too much. Yenica sunbaenim has a good nature and is very considerate, so she listens to and believes in anyone’s words.’

– ‘Well, you’re a senior, so don’t ever commit disrespect. It’s never going to happen, but Yenika-senpai may be feeling down, right? Umm… At least I’ve never seen Yenica-senpai in such a gloomy state, but you never know. So, don’t say anything that goes against your heart for nothing.’

Thanks to Lortel who gave sincere advice, Tanya felt like she had gained a thousand horses.

It’s rare to have a chance to have a conversation like this with the incumbent of the Elte Chamber of Commerce.

When I met Ziggs, I was bewildered by the unexpected reaction, but there was no time to be confused by such a happening.

Right now, next week is the freshman class placement test, and after that, the student council president election is right after the vacation ends and the new semester begins. From now on, I had to diligently paint my face.

As a result, I asked and arrived at a large tree in the northern forest lake. It was the ‘guardian tree of Merylda’.

It is said to be a tree with a giant wind spirit that protects the forest, but from the standpoint of Tanya, who had just arrived at the school, it just looked like a giant zelkova tree.

This is the place that I finally reached after navigating through the rough road of the northern forest with the use of the user, Doo-myeong. It was such a hard work, and if I could enlist Yenika, I could do anything.

You can see the back of the girl looking at the zelkova tree. Her dwarf body is similar to Tanya’s, and her pretty pink hair is flowing down her shawl.

The girl raised her hand and blew a bat made of flames. It looks like we were just talking about something.

Of course, to Tanya, who lacks the ability to respond to spirits, it just looks like her arms are stretched out and stretched out.

Tanya took a deep breath and spoke loudly.

“Nice to meet you, Jenika-senpai!”

He spoke with respect in his own way, so as not to appear cocky.

Yenica slowly turned and looked at Tanya, just as Lortel had told her.

An idol with a good nature and beautiful nature, loved by all of the bachelors. Perhaps Tanya was the most ideal senior she had ever imagined.

For Tanya, who has lived her entire life in an aristocratic hierarchy, the existence of a senior who can sympathize with sincerity away from such a power structure is romance itself.

Did you say that it is cozy and comfortable just looking at it, and that just sitting next to you feels like a congestion is flying away? As she imagined her future academic life, Tanya grinned.

“I want to introduce myself, and I want to talk to you… is it okay?”

After talking as elegantly as possible, I looked at Yenika.

It’s the same image as I thought it would be, but there’s also a hint that her expression is a bit dark. Had something bad happened?

Still, I’ve heard that he’s basically a good-natured person who listens to what others have to say.

“My name is Tanya Rothtailer.”

When Tanya greeted her with a bright face and revealed her name, only then did Yenika look at her.

From noblemtl.com

Moon bright night.

A girl holding an oak wand and leaning back under a guardian tree swaying in the wind.

Unknown pressure… Tanya swallowed dry saliva for a moment.

*

A quiet winter night’s camp.

Lortel sat quietly across the bonfire, so I served herbal tea in a mug.

Perhaps he was just happy to see the camp with more and more households, Lortel smiled brightly when he saw the entire camp.

“I feel relieved because everything I need right now seems to have been solved.”

“Yeah… it’s almost like home. Thank you for your help.”

“What. It wasn’t too hard.”

Lortel took a sip of the herbal tea while smiling brightly.

“I have a lot to talk about.”

Anyway, Tanya doesn’t say anything about killing him, she wants to end him by expelling him. Still bad but not to the point of murder.

Even you were to bring up fairytale and place Ed as the big bad in a fairytale, the role Yenicca will have won’t be the hero despite her power, she’ll be the princess loved by everyone and with infinite kindness not someone who can be asked to do the dirty work.

  3. .... says:

Considering Ed’s former reputation and behaviors, this is totally possible for her to ask Yennika to expel Ed.
Yennika is like a character out of a fairytale but if Ed is a big villain who put everyone in danger, this isn’t impossible for Yennika to take side of Tanya against the former Ed.

  4. Friedfroggyfrag says:

Unless Tanya is a complete moron, I doubt she’s gonna ask the person considered as basically a fairytale character/mascot of cheerfulness to perform a hit on someone.

  5. Saad says:

Tanya is about to be put 6 feet under if she asks Yenica to kill Ed
