I Became a Blind Swordsman at the Academy chapter 325

325. Dangerous Woman

325. Dangerous Woman

There is a saying, ‘Cheon-oe-cheon’.

A higher sky above the sky.

I thought I was standing there all this time.

I thought I had thrown off the shell of when I was a weakling and turned into a red butterfly and flew up to the sky.

“Brother, did you get what you wanted?”

Jahan asked me.

When he asked me a question, he looked like the boy I saw in my childhood.

“It’s what I wanted. When did we ever have something like that? I just didn’t want it taken away, so I took it away.”

“When I was young, didn’t you scold me when I stole rice cake? You said it would be better for me to starve to death.”

“Because I thought that was the right way. However, I realized that there is no use for the powerless weak to walk by the right way. The justice of the weak is only trampled and crushed by the whims of the strong.”

I am lost in thought for a moment.

The reason I was able to survive so dramatically after obtaining the Blood Demon’s Secret Book was because I came down to the cliff and absorbed the blood of the Volcanic Sect comrades who came to look for me.

First murder.

I thought I would feel guilty about killing someone for the first time.

‘Guhwi… Why…’

The problem was that I did not feel the slightest sense of guilt as I looked at the deer-like eyes of my classmate who resented me.

I didn’t go crazy because of the Blood Demon’s evil martial arts skills.

I was that kind of person from the beginning.

Even though Jahan caught the eye of the elder and was raped by him, he thought it was okay because he could join the Hwasan faction, fill his stomach, and sleep in a safe place.

I thought that Jahan held on with the intention of leading me down the right path, but in reality, the guidepost that was leading me was no one else but Jahan.

When the guy who had been my support found out that I had been exchanging secret deals with the elder, I was devastated by the thought that I had lost his trust, so I chose to run away.

And then, deep in the cliff, he eats the body of his classmate and realizes that he can no longer go back to how he was before.

Isn’t it funny?

The guy who reprimanded his younger brother for stealing a piece of rice cake because his stomach was festering ended up chewing on human flesh and venting his anger, not guilt.

“It’s unfair. Why does it have to be taken away? I have to be so humbled just because I don’t have power.”

“Because it’s that kind of world.”

Jahan shrugs his shoulders.

“For me, when I first set foot in the volcano, I had a vision. I had a vision of rubbing together with my brother and making plum blossoms bloom.”

“I think we’ve come too far for that.”

“What would have happened if my brother hadn’t followed the elder that day?”

“Well, I guess I struggled somehow to survive and eventually ended up in a green forest somewhere.”

“It’s a green forest… It might not have been that bad. If you say it, we were evil by nature, so we might have been good at plundering.”

“hahahahaha, no matter what I do, I think it would be better than now.”

I laughed out loud at the words of comfort Jahan took pains to give me.

At this, Jahan tilts his head.

“Why? Aren’t you leading the blood cult?”

“Jahan, do you still not understand why I can talk to you?”

“……”

Soon, Jahan begins to cry and lowers his head.

I stroked that guy’s head.

“It’s not your fault. There was just a higher sky above.”

“Who was it?”

I smiled bitterly at Jahan’s question.

“It was a silver-haired woman.”

***

ㅡKwaang!!

The woman slams her fist down and raises it again, her silver hair flowing with her wild movements.

Patter.

The slimy blood on her gloves was immediately splattering on the floor.

ㅡQuaaang!!!

The woman slammed her fist again.

Her power is so strong that the entire floor shakes.

Patter.

Blood splatters once again.

“……”

When the blood clot underneath no longer moves, her arm finally stops.

Cheolpuk.

A silver-haired woman stood up from a puddle of her blood.

The kings of the East in her royal palace, who were quietly watching her, swallowed her saliva without even realizing it.

Soon, the knight in silver armor handed her a cloth and her lips opened as she wiped away the blood splattered on her face.

“Nice to meet you. My name is Bernice, an innocent saint from the Holy Kingdom.”

Although it was everyone’s first time meeting face to face, none of them knew what a ‘saint’ was.

However, their question was why the saint came here.

“After hearing information from my article that a group called the Blood Cult of the East had colluded with demons, I came to visit them in person, even though it was a long distance away.”

When Bernice, who could not have been unaware of this, immediately explained the reason, the kings of the East, who were looking at her shocked face, nodded at her.

At that moment, a loud voice came from behind the woman.

“Blood Demon…! Where is Gu Hwi!”

The owner of the voice was the leader of the Murim Alliance who pretended to send reinforcements to Jihwaseong Fortress but returned to Saeju Palace late.

“Guhwi is…”

Maengju is embarrassed when he cannot see Guhwi’s face even though he searches for it.

In the meantime, the leader makes eye contact with Bernice.

“……”

He looked up and down at Bernice, who was covered in blood and had a face that made him wonder who the leader was, and soon the ‘minced meat’ at her feet caught his eye.

A lump of meat whose shape is difficult to clearly identify.

The torn black cloth wrapped around it.

And the cleanly severed heads of humans presumed to be members of the blood religion seen around the area.

“…Lord, it’s already over.”

In the end, in order to help the leader, who does not know the current situation, understand, the king of the patriot comes forward and pats him on the shoulder.

“The end…?”

A leader who speaks briefly.

I was so dumbfounded that I couldn’t keep my mouth shut.

Isn’t that so vain?

That was the end of the second blood demon Guhwi.

***

With the blood demon, the leader of the blood religion, subdued, their plan came to nothing, and the leaders of the East were cleaning up the mess of the Sakju Palace and sitting around in front of the bonfire burning the corpses, unwrapping their clothes.

The young king of the patriot was having a conversation with the leader.

“There was a reason why you set a trap by risking the lives of the kings. I never thought you would summon the saint.”

“I still can’t believe it.”

The leader gazed at the beautiful silver-haired woman who was conversing with the leaders on the other side of her.

“Didn’t you see the result with your own eyes? I can assure you that the process was much more terrible than you thought. Even though his head exploded from the blow, he moved, and the saintess beat him to the point that the floor of the bar was crushed. From Gu-hwi’s point of view, “It must have been like being hit by a red horse called a saint while passing along the street.”

“The world is wide. Maybe it’s time for me to practice too.”

“Arthur. If you leave the position of leader, who will you entrust to? Do you know how difficult it is to prevent an uproar every time a leader is elected? And…”

The young king of the patriot, speechless, also stared at Bernice.

“…That woman is beyond the reach of humans. They say she is God’s representative.”

“Are you really planning to make it the state religion?”

The lord asked a question carefully.

Several of the leaders of the East who met the saint this time readily accepted her proposal to accept the Heneris Protestantism as the state religion.

Yi Shai, Yue Guo, and Ho Guo were like that.

In the case of Hwaguk, they politely declined, saying that it would be difficult to make it the state religion due to the problem of shamans and divine beasts, but Bernice said that it did not matter much, saying that the roots were the same.

“In any case, there was no proper national religion. It is said that clergy in the West easily treat diseases that are difficult to treat in the East…”

“…The East is certainly barren in terms of medical science. Even those who can handle divine power have all left for the West.”

Even as the lord answered like that, he doubted whether he was talking to the king of a patriot famous for his pride.

“Listen to the saint’s words, it seems that the West has been receiving many threats from goblins. A threat much more severe than the current blood religion. It was like that in the previous war. At that time, the East was not my business and I gave up. There was, wasn’t it? However, there is no development without a crisis, so they overcame the crisis and developed, and we were left behind without a single crisis. I just realized that it is not the time to be complacent, trapped in the well of the East.”

“We are trying to use this opportunity to open up exchanges with the West.”

“I guess everyone has similar thoughts.”

***

“I think the Blood Demon’s strength is its excellent regeneration.”

[Thanks to you, my dress was ruined…]

Bernice speaks in a gloomy voice.

It did not sound like the voice of a woman who had beaten a blood demon to death for thirty minutes.

How much blood would have splattered to ruin the dress? I immediately stopped imagining it, thinking of meat being beaten with a hammer.

I have never met a blood magician in a game, but from Bernice’s explanation, I believe that they may have had the advantage of blood magicians in absorbing physical blows in addition to ‘super regeneration’, which is close to complete recovery.

From a gaming perspective, it would have been difficult to deal with Eastern martial arts, which do not deal much magic damage.

Even if you use the heavy water method, there is a skill called ‘Blood Blending’ that converts the area to be hit into a large amount of blood in advance.

Nevertheless, it seems to have been of no use in the face of the ‘Divine Martial Arts’, which has a deceptive performance of ‘fixed damage’ rather than magic damage or physical damage.

Bernice’s voice is then heard from the crystal ball.

[ …Anyway, that’s how it happened. ]

“I’m glad that things seem to have been handled well.”

[ I feel like I only put a spoon on a table that has everything set out for me. Everyone was busy praising Zeto. When I heard the story, I thought I had sent Zeto to the East. ]

“It was all part of the trip.”

[ So, did you enjoy it? ]

“…It must have been fun. I guess.”

[ Sigh… Really… It seems like only yesterday that I told you to take a break. ]

Bernice sighs at my hesitant answer.

“But there’s still a festival left.”

[ Even so, I decided to leave for Jihwa Castle with Princess Kimei tomorrow morning. Princess Kimei lent me some clothes. ]

“Princess Kimei’s clothes?”

[ The clothes are a little… Small for me. ]

“Aha…”

[ See you tomorrow then. I look forward to a fun festival. ]

After that, Bernice cut off communication after saying those words, probably because he was busy with field work.

‘Lean in…’

As I was blankly holding the crystal ball, I naturally pictured Bernice wearing Kimei’s clothes.

Isn’t it a very tight outfit, with the clothes being tight and showing off the body clearly?

It’s not because Bernice gained weight, but because Kimei is smaller. In terms of height as well, there are many other things.

‘It must be dangerous.’

I will not deny it.

It was a very refreshing stimulation just by imagining it.

Blood Demon i felt sorry 😔 condolences

Ma poor guy didn’t get a chance to coock

  2. Okay i understand it very well now. In CH. 185. Heneris said “In the beginning you were my apostle or saint, you were a colleague of a hero and after demon king killed your comrades, you mourned for them and asked me you wanted to break the bridle, and i also wanted to break the bridle so at your request…And that was the beginning of everything” that’s what she says.

However as she said, for him to be an Apostle Saint, she has to descent him directly from heaven which is absurd way of saying if he simply got picked by her, because as they said before Heneris picks her Saints among the people she favors after one of them dies and retires, but why did she descended him as her apostle, instead of picking someone from the already living active people? Why was he in Heaven and what made Heneris go through the trouble to revive him and descend him as her Apostle Saint?

There is a very huge and probably the most important part that is being omitted in what she explained, his life before becoming an Apostle Saint. Yes, we never read anything that can make us come to that conclusion, but it doesn’t mean there isn’t such possibility either. In fact below story strengthens that possibility.

And we learn about that part relatively at the beginning of the series, CH. 74. backstory related to the flower “Obsion” with the meaning “Happy Ending” and how it came into being which is also what the protagonist tries to achieve.

You can read the story on your own and its very short, the main characters of that story are probably Zeto (as Julian) and Demon God Helganes (as Demon-like looking girl named “Obsion”) and that tragedy is also probably the reason why Demon God Helganes ordered demons to kill all humans.

Earth God Loki is also living among humans with a Name of his persona and doesn’t have the powers he used to have, its true he exhausted his last strength and thats the reason he doesn’t have powers, but i think Helganes too might have sealed her powers and wandered into human land to get to know humans better and met there with Julian, or it was a temporary body solely created without power to be disposed of later.

Anyway after being persecuted by humans she met him who treats her preciously and without discrimination, afterwards they fell in love at the same time with each other. He went to get her acknowledged by Saint just to come and find her burned to ashes on a stake by humans in the village. Maybe she even felt abandoned by the only person who loved and acknowledged her because of how she looks, because he didn’t explain why he left, on top of that she was killed by humans in depths of despair and that would make her much more hateful against humans.

At that story, its also said “of course Saint who came with Julian bestowed blessing but such a convenient thing as reviving Obsion didn’t happen” so it may also be the reason why Heneris always looks sorry and guilty in front of Zeto, because she wasn’t competent enough that this tragedy happened and she couldn’t correct the situation either.

  3. Potatovine says:

I’m gonna say it. Sierra and Bernice are best girls for being 1. The strongest out of all the girls 2. Not being Yanderes 3. Sierra already agreed to the harem while the goddess will probably convince the Saint to agree because she wants in too lmao

    1. Heneris is also included in the harem, when she met with Zeto and he left after their meeting, she said something like “I love you” or “my love” so perhaps in his first life when he was a Saint they somehow were in a relationship or Heneris liked him. In fact Heneris’s sister and Demon race’s God Helganes may have started the war against humans because she too liked Zeto but he was her sister’s Saint and she somehow got jealous and crazy and put the whole world under the curse and the only one who can undo the curse or break the bridle is Zeto and the cause himself.

    2. SenatorArmstrong says:

      >Bernice
      >Not yandere
Oh nonono, remember this arc’s prologue? Only Sierra is the non-obsessive type, and that’s only because she’s stuck with the MC 90% of the time and hogging him.

  4. Sectne13 Sectne13 says:

    Thanks for the update Noble-san!

  5. simplethrone says:

She brought him down with just that. It’s over that fast, she’s too OP.
