“You bastard!”

A hideous devil’s horn rising above his forehead. A gruff talk and a wild accent that changed in an instant.

“Is it Velika?”

Befitting a devil with the name deformity. Velika, the great devil, who even had her instincts as a demon changed abnormally and came to be with Stella.

She had lost her mind from the flames of her Holy Grail when she put Stella to sleep inside me, but now she seems to be fine.

“You are full of energy.”

“It’s only natural that I slept all over after I died.”

Yeah, don’t get me wrong.

Stellado.

Velikado.

In the end, he was just a dead man.

I am just lending my body for rest. In fact, their lives have already come to an end.

“Are you thinking of fighting Magan? Ugh, you bastard son.”

“It went well.”

“What?”

“Do you know any information about Margan?”

If you think about it, wouldn’t it be Velika, the same great devil, who knows the most about Magan?

She tried to get along with Leme Geton, but I don’t think Mar Gan will die that much.

If that was the case, other great demons would have coveted Magan’s place right away.

She thought she had a competent informant of her own, but Velika exclaimed, showing her horns and ferocious teeth that grew along with them.

“Hey, this bottle…… That stop Velika, stop it.”

But instead of the nutty words she was about to pour out, her calmly sinking voice echoes again.

“No, Stella! Didn’t you hear what he was saying? You’re saying you’re going to fight again! Because your arms are sick!”

“Yeah, but! I can’t curse. The gods wished to have her mercy on the fool, but did not command condemnation.”

“…… His gods. I have to kill it sometime.”

Is this how it feels to watch a one-person play? The two were talking through Stella’s mouth, but it wasn’t difficult to understand because the tone and intonation were so different.

“You didn’t call me to say something to this person in the first place.”

“Still, I have to say something! I’m not doing it because you can’t! I know I expected to see you after a long time, but…… !”

“Wow! Wow! Beh, Velika!”

As she was, Stella covered her own mouth with both her hands. She pretended not to see Stella, who glanced at me with her blushing face.

Stella shouted as one hand pulled her other hand away.

“I was a little excited… ….”

Tup.

Again, she covers her mouth with both hands.

As if she was really angry, she tightened her brow, and then the horn on her forehead disappeared.

Stella, who had been pressing her mouth with her hands for a while and staring at her bottom, only glanced up at her and she excused herself.

“Because Velika is a demon, she said something strange.”

“Yes.”

“I never share my feelings because he is with me.”

“I didn’t really think so.”

“It’s real.”

“…… Okay.”

Rather than that, there was something that bothered me during the conversation I had with Velika earlier.

“I heard that there is a reason for calling me.”

“Oh, that’s right.”

After adjusting her body, Stella slowly twists her body and stretches out her hand in front of him as if guiding him.

Then, the landscape that was like white drawing paper begins to change. The moon and stars are rising, and it has become an ordinary night sky with fluffy clouds.

We became like floating in the sky.

Thump.

Try tapping the floor with your toes. It’s not really moving to this kind of scenery, but is it just a concept like a wallpaper?

It could also be seen as a kind of optical illusion effect.

“Isn’t it interesting? I learned by trying several times.”

Stella slowly started walking on the sky. I follow him

“There is also a village over there.”

“… ….”

At the tip of Stella’s point, the scenery of the town really spread out. Is there even a festival going on?

Even though it was late at night, it was quite crowded and the lanterns were brightly lit.

Of course, it is not a real village.

It’s probably the same as Stella’s imagination.

But it was a very pleasant atmosphere.

“Are the gods looking at us like this?”

“Perhaps.”

A town overlooking from the sky.

It was certain that it was a landscape that could not be easily seen on a continent where the Internet, airplanes, and satellites had not developed.

“Whoops.”

Stella covers the smile that forms on her mouth with her hand, knowing what is so funny.

I am happy to be reunited after a long time.

Although she enjoyed being able to talk to her once again, even if it was the circumstances that disturbed her sound sleep.

“Sorry Stella, I have no time.”

“… ….”

“There must be people who are worried about me being beaten by Magan. Also, the body must be in a very emergency situation.”

“It was very broken.”

“Yes, I have to go back immediately.”

At my request to get to the point, Stella scratched her cheek and sighed as she answered.

“You don’t have to worry about your body. Well, in fact, you must be in such a hurry because you have a rough idea of what your body will be like right now, right?”

“…… It must be dead or about to die.”

“Right. In fact, it was judged that Magan was dead. She means that she used her body wildly.”

“I see.”

It is shocking information, but there was no choice but to respond calmly.

Because I was the one who saw the boundary between the living and the dead. It wasn’t as surprising as I thought, because I always thought that something like this would happen someday.

“But don’t worry. Because there are people who will protect you well.”

“Ji…… Turn it on?”

“Yes, so there is no need to be impatient. If you have to argue, you haven’t died ‘yet’, and if you go back now, you’ll just repeat the same thing.”

For some reason, it was hard to keep up with Stella’s words. The sense that the difficult words of the gospels are released to me raw.

But Stella smiled, saying that my reaction was natural.

“I mean, you can go back anytime.”

“… ….”

If Stella says this, it’s because she has a reason.

The reason why they hold on to me even though I can go back.

Now I’m curious about that.

“By the way. How long do you plan on acting?”

“… ….”

“Look at you now.”

I lowered my head slowly at her words. There, instead of the aristocratic coat that Deius usually wore, he was wearing a modern suit from the time he worked as an office worker.

“Ah.”

I had no idea.

I could see why Stella had been calling me ‘you’ or ‘this person’ up until now, rather than ‘Deius’.

“Whoops, does that look like that?”

I had become Kim Shin-woo before I knew it.

“Even while I was sleeping inside of you, I was able to hear and see so many things. The inside of a person is not as comfortable to sleep as I thought.”

“Sorry.”

At my candid apology, Stella shook her head and smiled.

“No, it was rather good. I could hear your story over and over again like a lullaby.”

“… ….”

Stella didn’t stop there and kept asking.

“Is that why? I listened intently to your steps. He comforted the dead, guided his broken disciples to the right path, and gave value to ghosts who were created unfairly.”

“… ….”

“I almost went the wrong way once, but you got me back.”

“… ….”

“And this time, you made the great devil of the Republic, who only sees humans as food, to the point of dying. A truly heroic move.”

Listing the previous incidents was not simply a reason to praise me.

Because the more she spoke, the more Stella’s expression got darker.

And.

“Why?”

She asked me a question like throwing a big stone into a calm lake.

“What?”

“Why do you go that far?”

From noble mtl dot com

Kim Shin-woo.

My name, which Stella added at the end, reminded me of a clear boundary between me and this continent.

“Actually, I was curious.”

Stella slowly lowers her body and she sits down. She looks like she’s sitting on a cloud in the night sky.

Her blue-green eyes move as if drawing a horizon in the far sky, and eventually reach me.

“You were packing yourself with the words “To survive, right?”

“… ….”

“You are taking on too many responsibilities to prevent the destruction of the continent simply to survive.”

I couldn’t deny it because it wasn’t a mistake.

“Actually, you don’t care too much about your own death.”

Every word she said penetrated me, but what really painted Stella’s lips was a gentle smile.

After a brief silence, as if giving me time to organize my thoughts.

Stella asked, recalling her past.

“Do you remember the time we talked together at the convent?”

“…… Yes, remember.”

“It’s the same as that. I just want to listen.”

Tuk-tuk.

Stella pats the seat next to her with her hand and offers to sit down.

I naturally sat next to her as if possessed by something about her.

“To comfort the soul, you have heard many stories. But there is no one on this continent who really listens to your story.”

Unbeknownst to me, the corners of my eyes tremble. Stella, who met her eyes with me, carefully wrapped my head with both hands and hugged me.

“What is the real reason you are serving the world?”

“… ….”

I can’t feel anything because it’s definitely a soul.

Stella’s embrace was strangely warm, and that warmth quickly spreads within me.

“It’s okay. Answer slowly There is nothing wrong with taking a short break.”

“Ah.”

The body, which had been hardened by the question that penetrates the core, gradually begins to stabilize.

“You’ve worked hard.”

Warmth wrapped around my body, and as I slowly closed my eyes, her whispers tickled my ears.

“You who comforted the continent.”

I will comfort you.

Lol, Stella just smacked the possessor and academy MCs in the face. It’s funny to see earthlings saying they will prevent destruction just ‘to survive’. The reason itself is simply unconvincing and stupid. Haha, great girl!

  2. I like that Stella is addressing this matter. Most authors use the phrase “to survive” as an excuse to force plot. They try to make their protags look selfish but it just feels fake. I wish characters would have another reason for their actions, even if it’s dumb or naive, at least it should feel genuine. Saying “to survive” but then decides to do something opposite is very annoying. STICK TO YOUR CHARACTER!!!

Yeah, iirc Deius said that if there’s a person he cam fall in love with, it would be Stella 🧎

Stella is prolly the best girl with only the “flaw” of being dead. I wonder how things would be if she was alive.
