It would’ve been better if he had an existential crisis or conveniently able to adapt for no reason. To suddenly see his own world, the world that he had lived as fictional and his friends as nothing more than fictional characters because of skill effect is just pure horror. Especially since it is to the point where even his crush is considered as nothing more than fictional character. That skill is basically a kind of mental illness at this point.
And in a story sense it is a complete waste of potential. I originally thought, oh interesting I wonder how he would react and adapt to the fact that his world is actually fictional. But that has been thrown into the trash can the moment he was practically brainwashed to change his mindset and think of this world as fictional. I mean, then what’s the difference between this MC and a lot of other MC that got reincarnated/transported to another world and thought of it as fictional?…None. The only difference is that he doesn’t know the future and he has all of his pre-prologue memories, which some reincarnated MC also possessed so it’s not a difference actually. Truly such a waste of a good idea.
