I Ended My Engagement With My Childhood Friend, the Hero chapter 26

I Ended My Engagement With My Childhood Friend, the Hero 26

26 – Saint Nerah’s Regret (7) – Rape?

The second habit of goblins was, of course, rape.

This can also be seen as a racial characteristic of goblins.

In the first place, unless there is such a thing as a female goblin, goblins are a race that reproduces by raping other races.

For that reason, when they see females of other races, they instinctively want to rape them for reproduction, and the goblins like the most are the human and elven races.

This is a fairly well-known fact for adventurers, but…

For non-adventurers who don’t usually encounter goblins, this isn’t particularly well-known information.

But can I tell you this?

“Teacher… What is it? The second characteristic of a goblin.”

Looking at me, Liden’s eyes twinkled. It seemed that he was full of curiosity.

You must be curious.

It’s information I didn’t know at all, and there’s no way to know it in the future unless you’re an adventurer.

To be honest, I want to tell you this too…

I couldn’t help but hesitate.

As expected, saying this was something to consider a bit.

Because I’m still young.

‘You’re still a student.’

It’s not that I’m young, but I’m old enough.

In just one year, you’re old enough to hold a coming-of-age ceremony.

You may think you need to know what you know, but…

But, still, it didn’t work out.

A child was a child.

Besides, now that I’m in the position of a teacher, I’m the only one who’s in trouble if I say things like this for no reason and it gets weird.

So it might be better to just skip it like this for now.

“Hmm… There’s something like that.”

I passed it moderately like that.

The second characteristic is not to tell.

That’s how I made my way through the students and headed to the treasure room in the dungeon.

And of course, the students screamed when they saw me like this.

“Please tell me no.”

“Interrupting while talking… Evande…”

“Teacher… What’s the second trait of a goblin?”

Seria, Luna, and Liden all clung to me and shouted to tell me.

But I had no intention of telling you anything.

Would you guys later become adventurers and find out for yourself?

“I don’t know. Let’s go get a reward or something.”

I just passed through the room with the treasure chest, ignoring the children.

In the meantime, there was one person who came to mind.

‘Hmm… It reminds me of Master…’

That was my master.

At that time, I was taking the next hero class next to Master.

‘Back then, I fought a lot with Master.’

However, Master and I always had very different values.

Master was truly a person without blood or tears.

Besides, he was a man who would use whatever was available and would ignore the sacrifices of a few in order to defeat the evil.

She is a beautiful woman with golden hair smiling with a smile on the outside, but behind her back she is a very dark person who has no mercy and does not choose any means or methods.

Because of that, I have memories of having a really huge fight with Master.

Because that kind of personality really didn’t suit me.

‘I still don’t understand.’

To be honest, I didn’t hate that part.

Indeed, if we were to judge him as a hero, Master was the most heroic person than anyone else.

He was more sincere in defeating the demon king than anyone else, and I tend to admit and look at that side too…

However, if you look at the process, it was really eccentric.

‘When I went to church seven years ago, it was a real shock.’

Actually, when we went to church seven years ago, the justification was to get rid of the goblins, but the real purpose was of course different.

The real purpose was simply to wipe out all the corrupt churches.

Thinking about the teacher back then, there was really no such thing as a level.

Originally, it was intended to imprison corrupt priests.

But at this point, seeing that the saintess took the goblins, I just let the villagers die.

The intention was to hold the church accountable and make it disappear.

Though the villagers will die in the process.

Master thought that he could never achieve results without sacrifice, and he took sacrifice for granted, so he didn’t really care.

‘Evan. Just don’t save that saintess. Anyway, the saintess is like that, and the church is very corrupt, and it would be better for you to be a hero if you just leave her alone? Also, this town as a whole is rotten. Let’s just take care of everything for now.’

Because of that, I remember leaving Nera on purpose.

It wasn’t that Master didn’t know what would happen if the goblins were together.

Of course, Nera had no choice but to be in danger.

And I was really dumbfounded by that statement and rebelled.

What do you mean by basically harming hundreds of people to get rid of the church?

No matter how much my teacher was, I wasn’t the kind of person who would let a crazy psychopath do something.

So I remember going against Master’s words and running…

But well, it’s a good memory now.

‘It’s such a good memory…’

Master is gone after all.

For some reason, I felt like I was soaked in old memories.

Come to think of it…

Did Raina start to change when Master disappeared…?

If you think about it, Master, I, and Rina.

For me, who knew the relationship between these three to some extent, it was a very complicated mind.

“Ugh…”

Shock from being hit in the back of the head.

Nera was quite painful and confused by the shock.

She was in pain but looked straight at the current situation.

‘I believe…’

Looking at the goblins laughing at her in front of her eyes, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of betrayal.

For a woman who has never been betrayed in her life, this situation was absolutely shocking.

She has never received any ill will from all sorts of people.

‘Why the hell did this happen?’

The malice of her encounter was such a shock to her.

Her shock was doubled as she received her malice from her opponent, whom she had treated kindly.

Because of this, Nera thought about what was wrong at this moment.

‘Is the doctrine wrong?’

Nerah firmly believed in the saying that all things that came out of the doctrine should pursue peace and harmony as descendants of the goddess Lachesis.

Could it be that she became like this because the doctrine was wrong?

‘Or was it because I lacked sincerity?’

Or the doctrine is right, but because he lacked his faith and sincerity… He didn’t try harder himself.

Could he have been put in this situation because he lacked himself?

‘Or… Is it just wrong to be me?’

Or was it that nothing was right from the start?

She was so confused.

Nera couldn’t figure out any answer in this situation.

But in the end, one thing was certain.

‘Because of me… Many people…’

She said that because of her, the village was burnt down and many people were harmed.

Nerah turned her head and looked to her side, she saw the village still burning. I’m sure there will be dead people among them.

When she looked at the village, she could see that her actions were never good.

Looking at her now, she herself was a wicked person who broke the doctrine and killed many people.

She always did what was right, but she acted according to the doctrine, which ended up hurting a lot of people.

This was a truly ironic result.

“Huh…”

That made her despair.

She, who had never experienced despair in her life, despaired for the first time.

‘God bless me… It doesn’t turn on.’

And because of that despair, I couldn’t even turn on the divine protection.

There was no way that Nerah, who had already suffered a great blow both psychologically and physically, could properly activate her protection.

If only God’s protection was turned on, she could pass away from this situation, but unfortunately, she couldn’t do that.

And Ner Ah, who couldn’t turn on her protection, was too weak.

At most, it was as strong as a normal woman.

“Gore…Goreuk…!”

“Kyaaak…”

She was so helpless that she had no choice but to be defeated.

Soon after, the goblins began tearing Nerah’s clothes.

Nera desperately resisted, but she was already injured and couldn’t even use her protection. Just because she resisted didn’t mean she could resist.

Like that, Nera’s clothes were torn mercilessly.

At some point, half of the modest and clean black nun’s uniform was torn, revealing Nera’s skin.

She instinctively had no choice but to intuit what she was going to be like right now, in this moment.

‘Am I… Being raped…?’

It was rape.

Looking at Nerah, the goblins drool and laugh at her. Seeing them, Nerah shuddered.

‘I hate…’

Of course, she hated this situation.

To be raped by these goblins… Of course, she couldn’t help but hate it.

However, she was also discouraged.

‘To me… This kind of punishment…’

She herself is now a bad person who has harmed hundreds of people.

So… According to the doctrine, she was to be punished.

So this situation was justified.

Nerah said that she deserved a punishment for a bad villain like herself, and she had no choice but to accept it.

“Goreuk… Goreuk…!”

So the goblins sneaked up on Nera.

And Nera when she gave up everything and only shows unfocused eyes.

There was a man who came to save her.

“Haa… I thought it would be like this.”

The reflection in Nerah’s eyes was a dark-haired man looking at her and sighing at her.

It was Alan, the next hero.

  1. Reader says:

The previous hero did let the village get wiped, not so that the saint could learn her lesson, but so that the massacre could be used against the corrupt church. I believe the previous hero even decided to abandon the saint, but our MC rebelled against his decision and went to the village to try and save as many as he could.

Death is the only cure for stupidity. It doesn’t say who

  3. The hero let a village to be wiped to teach saint a life lesson..?
