I Entered a Gacha Game That Had Been Abandoned for 10 Years 103

103 – Blue Tower User (2)

“Do you really intend to move to Lartania?”

The light researcher O’Neal knew to some extent what was peculiar about the blue tower user.

Since all wizards are essentially seekers of truth and those who try to dissect and understand the essence of things, wizards who have reached the pinnacle all have a certain flavor.

However, among them, the blue tower user seemed slightly more ‘human’ than ‘wizard’ in O’Neal’s eyes.

“Well, I guess so?”

O’Neal talked to the blue tower user, who was tidying up the office with a very pleased expression, referring to her as Blue Topper.

“…Wouldn’t there be many inconveniences compared to the tower?”

Onel believed that words are a discourse.

Even if she said she wanted to move to the Martop Branch, there were many shortcomings compared to Martop.

Just thinking about it, research facilities, research data, material supply, supply of wizards to assist in research, and even though the research facilities were in the branch, the size was realistically insignificant compared to Martop.

“Moreover, it’s difficult to participate in regular meetings.”

And on top of that, Cheongtapju was a crucial figure who had to attend Martop’s meetings that took place monthly, an essential part of Martop’s principles.

She was not just an ordinary wizard; she was Cheongtapju, a presence you wouldn’t see anywhere. That’s why it was even more incomprehensible.

Certainly, she was peculiar, but the fact that she, so sincere in magic and research to the extent of ascending to the position of Martopju, was leaving for the Lartania Territory was surprising.

“Well, there are many inconveniences, but what can you do? I plan to come back and participate in Martop meetings regularly, about once a month.”

With a momentary laughter brightening the office to the point of radiance, Cheongtapju quickly tidied up the office, and Onel easily guessed the reason why she was going to Lartania.

No, he had already guessed.

It was a known fact that she had a somewhat peculiar and twisted attachment to the Lord of Lartania, and what he had overlooked was the strength of her twisted attachment, strong enough to abandon Martop.

“…In that case, have a safe journey.”

Therefore, Onel judged that persuading her any further was meaningless and silently nodded to Cheongtapju, who had neatly organized the office.

However.

“Yes?”

In response to Cheongtapju’s ambiguous words that followed, Onel answered in confusion.

“Yes?”

“No, I just said to have a safe journey.”

“Yes, well… Will you come back someday while being in the branch?”

With a bewildered expression, when Onel asked, Cheongtapju slightly shook her head, then soon revealed a bright smile on her flushed face, somewhat mischievous.

“Hey—Dad is there, why am I here? There’s so much to do there, you know♥”

She would then show a bright smile, revealing her distinctive sharp fangs.

“Anyway, I’ll take my leave for now. See you again next time.”

Giving a casual farewell to Onel, she exited the Blue Tower’s office.

Among the smiles of Blue Tower’s members he had seen so far, his was, in his opinion, the most splendid and dazzling.

“Hmm…”

Seeing the beautiful woman’s smile, Onel felt his heart flutter for some reason and grinned awkwardly.

The Eastern Union Clan, literally a massive clan formed by a total of 62 territories gathered on the eastern side.

This enormous clan did not have a king like a kingdom or empire; instead, they had a system where a leader was elected through voting every five years. On the surface, it appeared to have a more egalitarian system than other kingdoms or empires.

The clan system they operated was truly a strict meritocracy, created to elect the forefront figure who could lead the clan even a bit better.

And currently, the Lord of the Kalogram Territory, who was also practically the leader within the power structure divided into various branches within the Union Clan, Durrandor, the leader of the Eastern Union Clan.

“…Fired a mysterious shot and wiped out a demon army of over a few thousand? Is that right?”

“Yes.”

“With just one shot?”

“That’s correct.”

He was currently listening to a report.

The report was about the recent battle that took place in the Lartania Territory a few days ago.

“Have you confirmed what that thing is?”

“I’m sorry. We stayed for about a day trying to gather information, but couldn’t find out anything.”

With his head slightly bowed, he responded to the informant’s words after a moment of contemplation.

“Did you happen to find that item, which supposedly wiped out the demon army in one go, in addition in Lartania?”

“No, we couldn’t find it additionally. However-“

“However?”

“…based on the information gathered within the territory for a day, it seems that the Lord and Guild Master of the blacksmith guild in Lartania prepared that item.”

“…The Guild Master of the blacksmith guild should be in the Norba Kingdom, shouldn’t they?”

According to the information, it is said that the Guild Master of the blacksmith guild was already in the Lartania territory before the establishment of the blacksmith guild. And though not certain, there are additional rumors that the Guild Master of the blacksmith guild used to be the previous blacksmith of the Lartania territory.

The informant continued with the information.

Durandor remained silent for a while.

“Tsk.”

Soon, he lightly clicked his tongue.

It was understandable, considering that the informant had brought a lot of information, but ultimately, there were only a few pieces of confirmed information.

Therefore, having dismissed the informant with a casual gesture, he casually laid out the gathered information in the current situation.

Results from continuous observation clearly showed that the Lord of Lartania, who had not developed militarily, had swept away thousands of demon forces with a peculiar item.

1. The Guild Master of the blacksmith guild was a blacksmith belonging to Lartania’s territory ten years ago.

These two pieces of information led to two conclusions in Durandor’s mind.

The Lord of Lartania realized the impending demon army and asked the Guild Master to create that peculiar item.

2. The blacksmith had already created a secret weapon and used it to defeat the demon army.

In the midst of contemplating between these two conclusions, he soon realized that pondering over it had little significance.

In reality, whether the Lord of Lartania had requested the item from the blacksmith immediately upon learning about the incoming demon army or not was a problem.

The problem persisted even if the blacksmith had already used the secret weapon he had created to defeat the demon army.

Whether it was the former or the latter, confirming the ability to create a weapon that could kill thousands in Lartania, as long as there was a probability of its existence in the Lartania territory, he couldn’t recklessly attack Lartania.

‘Or more precisely, it’s difficult to act recklessly. We’re not fully prepared to lose forces yet, and as long as the foreign territory exists, it’s a bit early to make a move.’

“Really, this is troublesome… This is why I hoped you’d become a demon, but you’re really useless.”

Durandor, who grumbled lightly, glanced sideways at the blue sphere resting on the desk.

Staring at the sphere from which a blue light flowed, something that seemed like it would never exist in this world.

‘…Well, let’s investigate first.’

He thought with a smile.

“…Everything is for the great one.”

Muttering, a blue radiance flashed in his eyes for a moment and then disappeared.

After much consideration, what Kim Hyunwoo chose was ultimately to make two small missiles and one large missile.

The only difference was that he didn’t insert an explosive stone.

Of course, making missiles like this drastically reduced their power.

No, it wasn’t just a drastic reduction—it practically decreased to about one-tenth.

Moreover, at this point, without an explosive stone, missiles couldn’t even be launched, so they were essentially for show.

But it didn’t matter.

What Kim Hyunwoo was about to do was make display missiles.

‘Boasting is a necessary evil.’

Boasting might be meaningless in some aspects, but in the current situation in Lartania, boasting was more important than any other circumstance.

Currently, the Larvania territory is practically no different from saying, “Touch me, and you’re screwed,” to the surrounding territories, thanks to the missiles unleashed by the Demon Army.

At such a juncture, showcasing missiles is not only a practical method to wisely avoid combat but also instills trust in the territory’s residents.

“Moreover, if by any chance, other guys decide to come at us, we can immediately load and launch the enemy-seeking stones.”

…In truth, given the impoverished state of the territory to the point where launching missiles seems plausible, Kim Hyunwoo genuinely hopes such events won’t occur.

“…So, thinking about it, why did the Demon Army attack me?”

Kim Hyunwoo found himself deeply immersed in this question, newly emerging.

In reality, whether then or now, there was hardly any change in the information he possessed, making it impossible to draw a conclusion. However, no matter how much he thought about it, the Demon Legion led by Landon seemed odd for coming after him.

However, Kim Hyunwoo’s ponderings didn’t last long, as the lack of information kept him from dwelling too much.

It was around the time when the finances of the Larvania territory were gradually stabilizing.

★★★★☆ Hero ‘Azure Tower Lord’ has entered the territory.

After hearing the news of the completion of the Tower Headquarters, Kim Hyunwoo soon encountered the Azure Tower Lord through a notification that appeared shortly after.

“Long time no see? Ah, Dad♥”

“…Excuse me?”

Kim Hyunwoo responded absentmindedly.

And then.

“Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh?”

River, who had entered with a cheerful smile to report on the missile improvement, began uttering the same sounds like a malfunctioning toy, and Kim Hyunwoo’s face froze.

“…Oh, Dad? Wait… the term ‘Dad’ has already been mentioned to Lord.”

Likewise, Elena, in the grip of panic, began to mutter with trembling eyes.

  1. Ineur says:

showcasing missiles… it reminds me of N.K. of course the only difference is that Hyunwoo’s “empire” is much better, and N.K’s civilians are starting to gain self-awareness after all these years of subtle brainwashing bs, wouldn’t be surprised if there was a civil war
