For a moment, I even heard the illusion that all sounds in the world had stopped. My head is strangely still, but my heart isn’t about to burst? I was running fast enough to think that way.

I stared into Sharon’s eyes, then she barely opened her mouth.

She had heard everything clearly and remembered everything in her head, but it was a question that came from wanting to deny everything she said and all the truth.
I hoped she would make her corrections, but that never happened.
Sharon didn’t avert my eyes, and she opened her lips again.
“Do I have to say it again?”

I took Elia’s hand and smiled with the softest voice possible.

I asked right away, without giving Sharon time to calm down.

Sharon calmly responded to my questions.

There was no way I, a mere porter, knew the legend of the elves. Sharon started explaining on her own, even though I didn’t ask.

The day the kids were abandoned and the day I was kicked out of the party are probably the same. But I’ve never seen a moon like that, no, I didn’t intend to see it, it would be more accurate to say that.
There was no time to look at the moon like that. It was the day I was betrayed by the people I thought were everything to me, but there was no way the sky would catch my eye.
Sharon added an explanation without giving me time to reminisce.
