Incompatible Interspecies Wives chapter 133

133 - Old Love (2)

133 – Old Love (2)

“…Stop acting…Huh…Hug me, Belle.”

How many times have you tried to soothe her crying like that?

Even when she tripped over a boulder. Even when she was stung by a bee.

…Even when she lost her parents and when she was bullied at her orphanage.

I always comforted her crying by holding her in her arms.

But I can’t do that right now.

It’s not like that.

She stood still, watching her shed tears.

“…Bell…?”

Nere asked from the side.

I looked at Shien without saying anything.

Cien also talks only to me, ignoring the noise around him.

As if she only saw me in her eyes.

As if the people of the world would no longer care.

“Bell…Please…Just like before…”

Involuntary power enters the chin.

The clenched teeth were cold.

Even when she became an adult, she still seemed young to me.

She is said to be 22 years old, but to me, the 9-year-old girl’s appearance overlaps.

Emotions waver again against will.

Again, those emotional emotions welled up like water.

“…I…”

I lowered my head and whispered.

“…How much more… You…”

A question that Shien may not have heard.

Our relationship has changed so much.

I decided not to take her wife anymore.

She became a saint of chastity.

She’s obviously the place she arrived with the intention of pushing her out. It was the moment I faced to not be bound by the past anymore.

However, I feel that things are getting more twisted.

“I was wrong, Bell…Huhhh…So…”

Shien staggered and started walking toward me.

She did not retrieve her outstretched arms.

He walks from afar as if to hug my waist.

“…Stop it…!”

I shouted at her like that.

If you come close to me in that state, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to push you away.

I thought I would hug her and comfort her like her habit.

I feel only misery in my pitiful will.

Shien froze at those words and stopped in her place.

She couldn’t even cover her face and shed tears.

The two wives were not responding at all.

I reveal my private parts in a way I hate to see them the most.

“…Have we forgotten our dream…?”

She asked momentarily.

Her two fists are getting stronger again.

Soon, Shien forced a smile and looked at me.

Tears flowed from his eyes, and a troubled smile appeared on his lips.

“Have you forgotten our dream…To travel the world…?”

“…”

The clenched fist trembled.

Why can’t I even reply like this?

Why can’t I push her away even harder?

Her head knows, but her body doesn’t.

Especially when he was looking for me while crying like that.

Her keeps on … Her memories of her and her seem to overlap.

Sien continued watching me silently.

“…I didn’t forget that you said you only needed me…I still need you, Bell…”

At those words, Arwin approached me anxiously.

“…What does that mean, Berg…?”

Ner also grabbed the hem of my clothes.

“..Berg…?”

Although she came to her senses at her wives’ doubts, she only responded to Shien for now.

“…I…Forgot everything…”

A huge lie that runs down your throat.

She lifted her bowed head and looked at Shien.

“…I threw away all my dreams…”

But at that, Shien shook her head vigorously.

“No. It can’t be. Because you are not like that.”

“…….”

“Don’t keep trying to lie to me… I… Ugh… I know… Everything…”

Shien said, roughly wiping the corners of her eyes.

“I haven’t forgotten about your dream either, Belle. You… Said you wanted to get away from the slums and live in a peaceful place…?”

Blood began to leak through the gaps in her fists.

She said to me without forgetting anything.

“Soon…Soon the war will be over, Bell.”

“…”

“…Then after that… Let’s just throw everything away and run away.”

She said with the look on her face when she had a happy dream.

The smile on her lips and the corners of her eyes bent into half moons were still the same, but her tears still flowed down her cheeks and dripped down to the floor.

“Huh? Throw everything away…Just like you said, let’s live peacefully together…”

Cien took another step towards me.

Just like that, another step.

…One more step.

Only the sound of her steps echoes in this huge space.

No one was even breathing.

“…It’s hard, Bell… I know…”

She looks at me, then she takes a quick look at Ner and Arwin.

As if seeing through us.

She closed her eyes watching her like that.

Take a deep breath… Clear your mind.

…I might be lying if I said I wasn’t shaken.

I’m tired of working as a mercenary…Sometimes, it’s not easy for wives to refuse.

“…Bell… So…Hug me…”

Shen was right in front of my nose before I knew it.

She might be tired of pushing her away.

Maybe she felt so sorry for her crying.

… It’s all excuses, and it might be because she still has feelings for her.

… Unbeknownst to me, her hands trembled.

– Chin!

-Wow!

At the same time, something restricts my body.

A white tail wrapped around the waist before you knew it.

A hand with an interlocking grip.

I looked to the left and Ner was holding me with an expression he hadn’t seen before.

Also on the right, Arwin is watching me.

“…”

“…”

I can feel the two rings on my ring finger.

A leaf from the world tree of Arwin hung around his neck.

I realize this kind of change…Again.

I am no longer the person I used to be with Xian.

I finally saw Shien.

Her expression became even more anxious.

As if sensing something in her gut, she first shook her head and said.

“…No way, Bell.”

I whisper to her so that only she can hear.

“……………”

A name you don’t know how long you’ve been calling.

Shien’s words made her tears flow even more forcefully.

Her face contorts again and tears pour down.

“Yes…Yes, Bell…I…I am Xian…”

“…Now, I have people I have to prioritize over you.”

“…Ah…..Ah…”

I wanted to say goodbye softly, but I guess that was just my wish.

“…I have people who are more precious to me than you.”

Shien sheds tears as her shoulders tremble.

She shakes her head wildly from side to side.

“That…Don’t say that…! Don’t do that, Bell…!!”

“…So…Live happily ever after.”

“Hug me…! This can’t be our last…!!”

I closed her eyes… And whispered her last words to her.

I didn’t see her face.

“……Forget me, Shien.”

As I cast that cruel curse, I turned away.

-Fluffy…

I hear the sound of someone collapsing behind my back.

“….”

I didn’t look back.

“…Bell…”

I only walked forward despite the voice calling me.

“Bell…!!”

Leaving her who was her everything in her childhood.

Crying leaves her.

“Bell!!! Please!!!”

But I didn’t look at her until the end.

The opposite of the breakup 7 years ago.

…Now I know something.

Seven years ago, when she left me, what was her expression like?

I couldn’t figure it out because I only saw her back, but now I know.

…The girl who left me 7 years ago must have been crying.

In a situation where everyone was witnessing, the saintess fell on her knees.

The Church of Hea has scattered the people, and the Wanga moves with the rest of the people.

She may have taken this action because she did not want rumors about her saintess to spread.

The news that the Saint of Chastity had someone she loved was a story that would have shocked the church.

At the same time, I also knew that this was her consideration for her.

Her car to her loved ones.

Especially for her, one of the heroes who holds the fate of her war.

If the saintess decided to give up her fight here, the kingdom would have to bear the consequences.

At this point in time where she doesn’t know who the fighter for solitude is, it was clear that the departure of her saintess would have a devastating effect.

That’s why everyone left their seats for the saintess who didn’t stop and move.

She didn’t want to harm her by staying by her side.

The only ones standing by her side were… A group of warriors.

They looked at their fallen comrade three steps back with pity.

The saintess shed tears in a daze and looked at the back of her hand.

Hea’s pattern is still strongly engraved.

“…”

-Quack!!

In an instant, without a word, the saintess scratched the back of her hand with her fingernail.

“Seo… Holy Lady!”

Sylprien was surprised behind her, but no one could stop her saintess.

She continued to scratch and claw at the pattern.

It didn’t take long for the blood to leak out.

“Saintess…! Calm down!”

The saintess did not listen to her comrades’ concerns.

“Only this…! Whoa…! Even if it wasn’t there..!!”

Instead, I only blame the fate given to me.

Cries out in a fit of fuss.

I’ve never seen him hurt himself so badly before.

“Why me!! Why are you doing this to me!!!”

The saintess poured out her resentment toward the sky.

The saintess who always overcame all the trials alone was collapsing.

The saintess, who stood up alone without anyone’s touch, collapsed and was unable to get up.

The saintess’ voice contained a sense of desperate despair.

She was the kind of voice that gave goosebumps to anyone who heard it.

“How much…!!! How much more do you want to torment me!!! You should have done this!! How much more do I have to sacrifice!!!”

A high pitched note of anguish echoed around the mansion.

“Why do I have to lose the bell because of you!!!!”

– Took…

Soon she fell on her face with her forehead on the floor and burst into tears for a long time.

Is that what pouring out her breasts looks like?

The hero’s party had never seen a being moaning in pain like that.

No amount of extreme poison would have brought out such pain.

The saintess let go of her throat and burst into tears.

It was the tears of a person who lost the most precious being.

Neither Felix, Akran, or Silprien could do anything.

They knew very well that they weren’t the ones who could lift her up.

As much as they knew Shien’s situation, they were sincerely hurt even more.

They knew how happy Shien was whenever he talked about Berg.

So… I couldn’t help but feel anxious.

Perhaps the saintess realized that she might end up here.

People do not die only when the body dies.

Even if the mind dies, it dies as well.

It was a party of warriors who had seen such an appearance many times in the war.

…That’s why I felt even more sorry and pitiful for the crumbling Shien.

But there was nothing I could say.

Berg left her through her tidy parting.

It was the first time they had seen the saintess crave her affection like that.

For the first time, I glimpsed the side of such a saint.

I couldn’t even imagine how desperate he must have been.

How many people can muster such courage in front of so many people?

“…”

They weren’t afraid of losing the war.

…Of course, there was a certain amount of that, but…More than that, I was afraid that my comrades would become obsolete.

How does it feel for a person whose 7 years of sacrifice went to nothing?

How would it feel to take that reward away from a person who ran with only one reward in mind?

How cruel would it be to force a person who has lost hope to continue participating in war?

They couldn’t tell.

.

.

.

Time flies.

It is night.

No one was moving.

Her saintess was still sitting on her floor, and Felix, Akran, and Sylprien were all watching over her.

She was waiting for her saintess who had stopped crying before she knew it.

She was only waiting for her choice to get off her.

There was a story that everyone exchanged through their eyes.

…. Here, even if the saintess says she will quit everything, she will not be surprised.

Accepted.

In the first place, they weren’t cruel enough to lead such a broken comrade into the battlefield.

Also, if they were dragged by force, it would be murder.

I couldn’t take a being who couldn’t find a reason to stay on the battlefield to that dangerous place.

He might have thought that the saintess had died here.

“…Everybody.”

The saintess called her companion in a cracking voice.

Waiting for her words all day.

From noble mtl dot com

Silprien wasn’t surprised by the call and asked calmly.

“Yes, saintess.”

“……”

The saintess didn’t say anything.

It was like that for a long time.

“…?”

At that time, something unbelievable to everyone’s eyes happens.

A ray of bright light began to gently land on the spot where the saintess was sitting.

That light was like the bright moonlight.

Only the saintess shone alone in the dark night.

The saintess stumbled and stood up from her seat.

She looks back at her colleagues.

Lonely eyes. Mouth with a benevolent smile.

She said.

“……Let’s go. To the next battlefield.”

“…”

“…”

She said that she would keep going.

Act as if nothing happened.

Even though it was the answer the warrior party needed, a question could not help but come to mind.

Felix asked with a frown at the end.

“…Are you all right?”

The saintess shook her head.

“…Isn’t it?”

Tears run down her cheeks again.

Akran intervened.

“…Saint. If you’re going to the battlefield to die-“

“-It’s not like that, Akran.”

The saintess said.

She gave off an atmosphere that no one could overcome.

The saintess shook her head weakly and said.

“…Nothing has changed.”

“…Yes?”

“…As long as the Demon King is alive…The same is true of Bell being able to die.”

No one could answer her words like that.

It was hard to believe that even though she had just been abandoned, she still thought of Berg.

“So, let’s go to end the war.”

The saintess said. There was a strange will in that powerless voice.

Silprien opened her mouth. She finally asked.

“…You said you were going to the battlefield?”

The saintess nodded her head.

“…For the vice-captain of the Crimson Troops…?”

The saintess nodded again.

“…”

Silprien was a saint’s mind that was completely incomprehensible.

Especially since I saw what just happened.

Akran gives Shien a bitter medicine.

It was like an offer not to make foolish choices, but to choose the easy path.

“……It is a feeling that may not be reciprocated. If you do that…I don’t think the vice-captain will return-“

“-It’s okay.”

The saintess smiled and said.

It was an expression that I couldn’t even fathom how deep the pain was.

Akran frowned and asked again.

“…Yes?”

“…It’s okay if you don’t get anything in return. It’s okay if I’m not loved.”

When the warriors and the party were frozen in their words, the saintess concluded.

“…….Because I love Belle.”

As she witnessed her deep love, no one could open her mouth.

“…So it’s okay.”

The saintess smiles like that … She belatedly held my hand.

Then she lowered her head and whispered.

A slightly contradictory story.

“And yet… I haven’t given up.”

Shien recalled her memories with her berg.

She said.

“…I can’t give up.”

Honestly, from what we saw in the prologue and so far in the story; she is the only girl to admit her feelings so openly and doesn’t feel ashamed to say that she loves Berg..

  18. Don’t give up. She may have done some poor choices but this girl undoubtedly loves Bell the most (yet)
