76 – Meruru’s Great Adventure
Aruru was transferred to the demon sanctuary underground by Algot.
It seems she was sent there through a personal route to avoid attracting attention from people.
There, Aruru was scheduled to adapt through building trust with demons in similar situations as her own.
Algot asked me to keep Aruru’s situation a secret from Meruru until the situation stabilized.
I wanted to inform her about Aruru’s condition right away, but it was obvious that chaos would ensue if she found out, so I agreed to the request.
Instead, I promised to receive periodic updates on Aruru’s situation through Algot, and she even allowed me to visit the demon sanctuary directly if I wanted to.
And after all this was settled, Algot’s attitude towards me changed slightly.
Even when there was nothing special going on, she started calling me to her office frequently.
When I visited, thinking it was a call from the Guild Master, she would ask about my well-being or engage in casual small talk before sending me off.
