Love Letter From The Future chapter 182

3. Dragon’s Eye, Human Mind (46)

Mitram hesitated for a moment at Shien’s immediate question.

The reaction seemed to be more active than expected. At this, Mitram showed a sign of concern.

No matter how much I have to tell you this, the expression was like that.

However, even that was short-lived, and Mitram soon suffocated and burst into laughter.

Yes, it was already over anyway.

Considering the pain the princess would have to go through in the future, it wasn’t bad to give her even one present. As a farewell, I was able to tell you the truth.

“Actually, it’s because you’re covered with the smell that monsters like. A subtle but powerful curse… After all, the ultimate goal is you. But no matter how long I waited, the demons did not attack you.”

The princess’s thought circuit, which was to receive the following words one after another, rotated at high speed.

‘Curse’ and ‘Beast’ were key words that penetrated the riddle.

As for what answer those new clues might be heading, Shien became more concerned.

“Even if I kept an eye on it, I never had a chance to lift the curse. At least, if it’s not something equivalent to holy water… Aww.”

A sudden exclamation escaped from Mitram’s mouth as he continued to speak.

He seemed to have realized something.

He hummed, hummed, and then smiled again.

“… … Ian Percus.”

Suddenly, a scene flashed through the princess’s mind.

The man suddenly poured water on her.

Shien was so dumbfounded that he couldn’t say anything. Indignant escort knights rushed in, and Sir Zeros had his arm cut off that day.

Then, the incomprehensible events are put together in pieces.

Like a finely divided puzzle.

Of course, it wasn’t just the princess who noticed this. Mitram, who had been showing signs of realizing this a long time ago, also giggled and laughed.

“Accident… It’s too exquisite for that. Ian Perkus, Ian Perkus… … .”

Mitram nodded a couple of times, then smiled refreshingly.

“Anyway, after dealing with you, I’ll have to dig up that guy first.”

Then Mitram took a step.

Danger was gradually approaching, but Shien could not bear to come to his senses.

I just asked myself.

why?

According to that reasoning, it would be said that the man knew that the Dark Church was targeting the princess. Even if he didn’t know, it meant he was at least suspicious.

So, in a way that no one could notice, he cursed the princess.

No human could have imagined that precious holy water would be contained in a canteen.

Even more so, the series of shocking sights that followed were enough to make us forget the identity of the contents.

If he had confessed that the liquid was holy water, the story would have been different.

Whether it was the head maid or Sir Zeros, one of the two always accompanied the princess. The moment he realized that the curse had been lifted, Mitram must have planned another ploy.

However, Ian Perkus cursed it with a single collision, and even eliminated Zeros, who was controlled by Mitram.

And in return, he sacrificed his reputation, his future, and his precious people.

Shien couldn’t stand that fact at all.

Like an obsessive-compulsive patient, she was just brainwashing herself.

yes, that’s a lie

It’s impossible no matter how you think about it.

Ian Percus was a human. This was a fact that would never change.

And all human beings were selfish and greedy.

According to what the princess had seen so far, it was like that. There was no human being who could devote so much for others without any greed.

This is a belief that has been endlessly proven since childhood.

But why is Xien’s mind gradually heating up like this?

With a groan, Shien grabbed his head.

Accident ruptures. The firecracker’s dohwa pig iron sparks were eating away Shien’s memories.

It was a blatant danger sign.

However, Mitram only burst into laughter again when he saw that appearance.

The princess’ pain was the most pleasant sight.

After watching the princess happily for a while, he shook his head and opened his mouth.

“Okay then, let’s get to work. As long as you don’t resist, only your eyes won’t hurt… … .”

It was then.

With a whimper, the blade pierced Mitram’s body.

The woman’s eyes hurriedly turned back. There stood Irene, forcibly thrusting the sword into her wild convulsive arm.

Mitram could not comprehend the reality immediately before him.

It was poison obtained from poisonous insects in the great forest.

It was a drug that not only binds mana, but also has an anesthetic effect. There was a limit to how much an expert could endure.

As proof of that, isn’t Irene’s whole body trembling like an aspen tree?

Then there was only one answer.

To deliver this final blow, she poured all her remaining magic power into it. Irene’s body, having exhausted all her strength, slid down.

Mitram was silent for a moment. Then I slowly pulled out the knife that had pierced my chest.

I cried, and blood gushed out. A faint smile formed on Irene’s lips as she watched.

finally saved

She looked as if she was about to shed tears. It was because I had suffered and blamed myself for so long.

But that happiness didn’t last long.

With a thud, Mitram casually threw the bloody knife to the ground.

Hearing that sharp crash, Irene’s gaze blankly turned to Mitram. Her chest, which should have suffered a piercing wound, was bubbling with flesh.

It had to be fatal.

However, Mitram only glanced down at Irene as if there was no blow. Even if he had cut his hand on the paper, he would have reacted more violently than this.

There was contempt in his gaze.

“… … The effort was imaginary, Sir Irene. I want to kill you, but since you are a rare material, I will spare you.”

‘Material’, does Irene become a test subject of an unknown dark priest like that lady-in-waiting?

The female knight’s eyes shook violently, but Mitram did not delay any longer. She walked without hesitation and stood in front of the princess.

Due to the effects of the poison, the princess was already unable to properly control her body.

He was only immersed in deep, deep worries with panting eyes.

Of course, it wasn’t something Mitram was concerned about.

Mitram’s hand violently grabbed the hair.

A friendly smile appeared on her lips. As if playing the owner of the body.

“From now on, we will carry out eye extraction. It may hurt a little, so please stay calm.”

After hearing the blatant story of ‘eyeball extraction’, Shien suddenly came to his senses.

Without realizing it, Mitram was right next to her. Moreover, the Dark Priest’s hand was forcibly opening Shien’s eyelids.

And the gradually approaching finger.

The intention was very clear. Instinctive fear enveloped the princess’ entire body.

She couldn’t stand it any longer and screamed.

“Sir, I hate it! Ugh, ah, ugh… Kyaa!”

Tears burst out.

It was regrettable.

All of those decisions were like that.

What would it be like if you hadn’t entered the academy, what if you doubted the people around you a little more. A world of all sorts of possibilities swept through the princess’s mind like a tidal wave.

And, and again.

What if I had trusted Ian Perkus a little more?

All of this was already too late.

Time was irreversible. The princess tried to close her eyelids with all her might, but it was a futile attempt.

The moment Mitram’s fingers were about to dig into the princess’ light gray eyes.

A silver bolt of lightning struck from the sky.

It was a sharp trajectory. Like the blade of a guillotine, the vertical blade severed both of Mitram’s arms at once.

The two forearms, which were far from the main body, pathetically rolled on the ground.

The blood that burst out belatedly soaked the dirt floor. With that warmth, steam rose out of nowhere in the crypt.

No matter how remodeled the body was, it seemed to take quite a while to restore the severed body parts.

Only then did the freed princess fall on the ground panting, and Mitram looked down at the body as it bubbling and began to restore its forearm.

The sound of stomping footsteps echoed through the silent crypt.

The princess, Mitram, and even Irene, who was barely holding on to her senses, looked behind her back.

A man was walking there.

Black hair, golden eyes that blazed in the air like wisps of fire.

Perhaps because of his haste, his breathing seemed rough. Even so, he let out a light sigh in relief.

It was a relief that it wasn’t too late.

He panted and touched my thigh, then smiled and said:

“……hey.”

Mitram slowly turned around.

A faint smile crept across her lips, as if she had finally met her true adversary.

Regardless, the man concluded his speech.

“Why are you trying to finish it already? You haven’t even played with me yet… sadly.”

A chuckle of laughter escaped the woman’s lips.

With mad eyes, Mitram muttered the man’s name.

“… … Ian Percus.”

Leaving the princess’s vision behind, the two monsters faced each other.

It was the beginning of the battle that marked the end of the Homecoming Festival.

  1. Dark Prinny says:

IMHO the holy would have been more dramatic if it was accidentally found out like being blurted by the saintess instead of far fetched self realization. Or Mitram revealing the curse had been washed away by the MC that is why he had to reveal him/herself and take action.
