Love Letter From The Future chapter 191

3. Dragon's Eye, Human Mind (55)

3. Dragon’s Eye, Human Mind (55)

The temple’s intensive care unit was quiet.

It was a contrasting scene from the front of the temple where countless people gathered. It was because there were so many injured people due to the demonic attacks.

It was an attack in which hundreds of demons were mobilized. If civilians staying in the city were included, the scale of the damage was beyond imagination.

The mastermind behind this unprecedented aggression is still unknown.

The professors at the academy kept a heavy silence as if they had heard anything, but the crowd except for them held a heated discussion with their hypotheses.

Someone argued that it was the result of the abnormal occurrence of demon beasts from the last hunting festival.

Those who were a little more courageous said that the biological laboratory secretly installed by the imperial family was the cause.

It was claimed that demons who had escaped from there due to some kind of accident had attacked the academy.

There were many other speculations, but unless there was an official announcement from the academy, these were just empty arguments.

It was because there was too little information to come up with plausible inferences.

However, in the gap overflowing with all kinds of eyewitness accounts, there was definitely a voice that stood out.

It was a story about a man.

He traveled all over the battlefield and saved countless students, but it was rumored that many of them hated and harassed him.

Most of the academy was sympathetic to bullying him, so the ripple effect of the rumor was even greater.

Originally, human beings tended to draw attention to the unexpected side of someone.

However, in stark contrast to the noise outside, the interior of the temple was deserted.

The only noise coming from the hallway was the sound of the priests hurrying along.

As the murderous workload poured in at once, the temple banned visits to the hospital. It was a situation where there was no room left to manage each patient.

It was an inevitable choice to reduce the load even a little. Even if it was a pity for the people stamping their feet in front of the temple, the priority was the patient’s life.

However, no matter how temple it was, it was impossible to ban everyone from entering.

This was because there were occasional visits by distinguished guests who were beyond the authority of the Daeshinjeon.

The girl sitting in Ian’s hospital room was one of those people.

Dark blue hair resembling the night sky flowed with a noble light. Light gray eyes that had been hacked up with regret and worry were tainted with dull moisture.

The 5th Princess of the Empire, Shien.

She, too, had been receiving treatment at the temple until just before that. Fortunately, the wound wasn’t too big, so I was allowed to leave the hospital, but I finally came to Ian’s hospital room.

Looking down at the pale man’s face, Shien’s feelings were extremely complicated.

Because of me.

This man was lying down with a bloodless face like this because of Shien. Of course, there were many others who passed away.

The head maid, the escort knights, and, more broadly, all the patients staying at this temple were like that.

The Dark Church was aiming for Shien.

Today’s disaster was accomplished with such a sense of purpose. Fortunately, I heard there were few deaths, but that didn’t make Shien’s guilt go away.

However, even in the midst of suffering, I hated my cunning heart, which was secretly relieved.

Still, the most precious person survived.

The man who had given her pure kindness for the first time in his life, and the man who was willing to bear the stigma and overcome the ordeal for everyone, was soundly asleep.

Shien, who was about to gently stroke Ian’s cheek with a trembling hand, trembled at the sound of his voice penetrating the silence of the night.

“Due to an overdose of drugs, my intestines are melting, and there are many fractures and severe internal bleeding. Even moving my body until the end should be considered a miracle achieved with magical power.”

The moonlight curtain was pulled back and a woman with silver hair appeared.

Those pale pink eyes were quiet. Its psychology was so deep that it was impossible to read it, but I knew only Shien.

The saintess was not in a good mood right now. very much

“No, actually surviving is a miracle… I know how to protect others, but I’m a fool who doesn’t know how to take care of myself.”

The princess bowed her head without saying anything.

Every word of the saintess seemed to rebuke her. Of course, that benevolent saintess couldn’t have done that, but Shien wiggled her fingers with a guilty conscience.

The saintess didn’t bother to say more.

He just looked down at Ian with his arms crossed and sad eyes.

It took a long time before the princess managed to get her voice out.

“… … Can I be cured?”

“I did put a request in the castle and the imperial family. At least, it’s impossible to cure with only divine power. In the meantime, I’ve suffered too many fatal wounds… … .”

Having said that, the saintess bit her lips as if she was somewhat moved. Otherwise, it seemed that he could not control his emotions.

It was an act unbecoming of a saintess who always had a warm smile, but only herself and Ian were left alone in the world of Shien.

The girl’s mouth opened cautiously.

“Well, about Sir Ian, I’ll talk to Mrs. Obama well… … .”

“Of course it should.”

The princess took a deep breath at the cold voice. It was a sound I hadn’t heard in a very long time.

The light gray eyes that had been staring down at the man in dismay slowly turned to the saintess.

There was a woman with a cold complexion. There was no saintess who was benevolent and kind, and only the burning light pink eyes represented her hostility.

“Who is this for?”

At those words that were spit out, Shien’s eyes went blank.

It was a very blatant expression of emotion. Even without using the ‘dragon’s eye’, I could tell. The saintess hated the princess to death.

I hope it can’t be

Still, she is a saint who is a symbol of love and sacrifice.

Shien shook her head a couple of times with a bewildered look, and when those light gray eyes turned to the saintess again, the hostility she had felt before disappeared completely.

It must have been an illusion, the princess sighed as if she knew that.

Even so, the saintess’ voice was still melancholy.

“… … It’s time for therapy. Please leave, Sister Xian.”

After the final rite of congratulations, Shien stepped out of the temple.

It was depressing.

Later, when Ian regained consciousness, he had no idea how to apologize. No, can I be forgiven?

I couldn’t even figure out where it went wrong. From the beginning to the end, didn’t Shien only bother Ian?

Even the vast majority of them were plots of Shien’s malice.

It was inevitable that the shoulders of the always confident princess would droop.

What awoke Shien’s spirit, which had been so melancholy, was the voice of the knight who ran away in a hurry.

“Your Highness the Princess!”

Hearing that emotional voice, the princess moved her gaze slightly. There, a knight who had been sent to a foreign country with orders this morning was walking.

Rather, it was a good thing.

At least one victim was reduced.

In the mind of the princess who continued such a bitter accident, a memory stuck in her mind like a stumbling block.

Oh, I see… … .

What instructions did I give you this morning?

Shien’s eyes suddenly lost their light.

“Oh, I’m glad you’re okay. This is also the blessing of His Majesty the Emperor… … !”

“… … Top.”

The light gray pupils of the princess who spat out those two words were shaking violently.

Her whole body trembled as her complexion turned pale. The slender hand, which had repeatedly convulsed, roughly grabbed the knight’s arms.

“Four, the top… A merchant said to be run by Lee An-kyung’s younger sister! How did that go?!”

Shien asked that and prayed earnestly.

I just hoped that something would go wrong while the driver was on the road, and that the plan would be disrupted.

However, the knight only returned a loyal reply without notice.

“Oh, that! I did as you said, but… … .”

Stumbling, the princess took a backward step. Feeling dizzy, she seemed in danger of collapsing at any moment.

The moment the knight took a step in embarrassment, a thunderclap erupted from the princess’s mouth.

“Everything, cancel it right away… right now! No matter what!!”

The knight put on a puzzled expression at the unexpectedly reversed instructions, but he bowed his head and started running, probably sensing Shien’s expression was unusual.

However, the princess also knew.

The fact that overturning the board that has already started is twice as difficult as that.

Frustrated, the princess gasped for breath and repeated vain steps. I could hear the people around me whispering, but it didn’t matter.

After all, all of them combined were not as valuable as any one.

This way, it shouldn’t be like this… … .

Shien’s eyes were gradually filled with tears of despair.

Shien’s ordeal was not yet over.

He one of the few people who resurected the most dangerous organisation, played with power and authority obsesive Wyrm(empire), and bring world to destruction. Maybe he is moron, alike Ian but his skills are at least decent enough to appear a few more times as mid-boss. Maybe a few times more as comedic relief? Oh wait it’s called main villian, my bad.
