285 – Decisive Battle – 5
“What if they destroy the Imperial Palace!”
Nix let out a shrieking shriek. While listening to Nyx’s scream, a loud explosion sounded. Debris that had once been the walls of the imperial palace were scattered in all directions.
Iris aimed the silver armor in front of her with the sword wrapped around her storm. Her sword swung, and the storm severed the opponent’s longsword and armour.
As if that wasn’t enough to absorb all the damage, the wall behind it exploded. It sounded like a scream was coming from somewhere.
It’s not over yet. She shattered the wind that entwined the blade, and this time she swung her sword at her essence. A quiet slash, in contrast to the one before, aimed at the man’s neck.
I could feel the tip of her knife grazing the essence.
His decapitated body staggered forward and then fell face down as it caught on the upper body that had fallen first. It was a rather brutal sight, but no one was particularly nervous about having a human corpse here.
The corpse turned into black mud and evaporated like boiling water.
