The Villainess Whom I Had Served for 13 Years Has Fallen chapter 100

100 - I am a Bad Person -7-

100 – I am a Bad Person -7-

All of Hans’s attacks returned as null.

Attacks stemming from dark magic, as soon as they touched my body, silently disappeared, and even ordinary magic was blocked by my resistance, unable to exert its power.

Perplexed, Hans unleashed magic with an expression of disbelief.

“What’s happening? Your body is…!”

“I guess eating well and sleeping well makes you healthy. If you envy me, go to bed early and wake up late.”

“Don’t joke with me…!”

Hans’s forehead, casting magic, was trembling. Cold sweat dripped from his hands, and the accuracy of the magic decreased.

Hans was desperate.

Wouldn’t the Imperial Army rush in after hearing the noise?

Or perhaps the Witch Hunters searching for him would come. Above all, the terrifying fear was how long the monster in front of him would tolerate him.

His confident gesture, imbued with arrogance, was filled with the power of darkness. But when his mainstay, the power and prowess that appeared as his main force in the novel, vanished as if it never existed, Hans changed his tactics. He shifted the direction of the attack, throwing nearby structures.

-Whoosh.

The walls that had been enveloped in the darkness of dark magic were pulled out, obscuring the view.

As Hans made a monotonous gesture, slicing through the air with Tyrving, the violently flying wall lost the flow of magic, falling powerless to the ground.

Unperturbed, Hans manipulated the fragments of the broken wall and launched another attack, but nothing changed.

Tyrving is a sword that kills wizards.

The shattered fragments manipulated by Hans’ magic lost their strength once again, falling to the ground from the swing of his sword.

As the debris from the wall started to create a cloud of dust, the henchmen of the cultists standing beside Hans began to move.

So, this was their plan.

I spoke to the cultist who was emanating a threatening aura.

“Now you’re moving, huh?”

The knights of the cultist approached me cautiously. It was a outnumbered situation, but I felt no fear at all.

“Hans is the successor as the knight. The cultists seem like an ideal group to evaluate abilities, don’t you think?”

I said, half jokingly.

With a hint of warning, I told them.

“Move, and you’ll be dead.”

A crimson aura began to emanate from the fingertips. As the aura spread onto the pitch-black blade, the sword started to turn a deep red.

Filled with an ominous presence, the blade of Tyrving began to tremble with a low rumble.

Tyrving, producing an annoying sound as if it was trying to contaminate the owner’s mind. It acted like an arrogant dog trying to defy its master.

“Shut up before I break you.”

As I spat out the harsh words, Tyrving let out a whimper and became obedient. No matter how good of a sword it was, if it disobeyed its owner, it was useless.

“If you bark one more time, I’ll melt you down.”

With a stern warning, Tyrving’s rebellion subsided. And as everyone gazed in astonishment at the flow of magic pouring out of Tyrving, their expressions turned to shock.

The henchmen of the cultists, gripping their swords tightly, guarding me against the wickedly powerful magic.

And then…

“You lunatic.”

Until even Hans, who couldn’t close his mouth.

I smiled lightly and said, “Not coming?”

In response to my small provocation, the heretic rushed forward, driving the ground. Perhaps due to the overwhelming martial arts, their calm and sharp attacks aimed at the vital points, each embodying their individuality.

It was a ruthless assault.

A combined strike of inspectors, each possessing outstanding martial skills. Despite feeling the overwhelming difference in strength, their unshaken appearance was threatening enough.

If the opponent before me were not Mihail or Ruin but someone like Mikhail or Ruin, they would have been turned into hedgehogs.

Unfortunately, I was neither Mihail nor Ruin.

It seemed that interfering with a selfish inspector who would not hesitate to choose means and methods as long as he could win might become their sign.

I spread out my senses to confirm the positions of the approaching heretics.

One above the head.

One behind the back.

Three from the front.

And even a magic imbued with Hans’s resolute blow.

I don’t know the name of the magic Hans is preparing, but it is undoubtedly a large-scale magic to sweep me away along with the heretics.

A heartless guy with no blood or tears.

Trying to kill even allies, there was no camaraderie.

In the moment when the black magic power emanated from Hans’s hands. He swung the sword, containing the aura, high.

As the crimson magic-infused blade drew a massive arc, it spread out.

With the sound of flesh tearing, the remnants of the heretics who had fallen to the ground with a thud turned into the dust of the world, transforming into cold corpses.

The sound of five thuds echoed on the ground.

Hans’s voice, filled with despair, rang out.

“You insane monster!”

The magic Hans had been preparing vanished into the blade of Tyrving. A dark shadow began to creep over Hans’s face as he looked hopelessly at his own hands.

“Calling a sane person insane, that’s a bit harsh, don’t you think?”

“This doesn’t make any sense. The knights of the Order…”

Hans looked at me with trembling eyes.

Overwhelmed by the overwhelming difference in power, Hans bowed his head, unable to achieve his goal.

Hoping to give him strength, I threw out a jest.

“How about dropping out of the heretics and transferring to prison? They’ll grant you a graduation just for showing up.”

A school where graduation is guaranteed just by attendance. No need to worry about failing to graduate due to lack of credits.

“I’ll pull some strings for you.”

“…Shut up.”

Hans let out a long sigh and raised his black horn-rimmed glasses with his index finger.

“Even if I offer to take care of you, you react like this. It’s disheartening.”

“…”

“You don’t really want to die, do you?”

Hans shuddered at the grim joke.

I approached Hans to leave for the day. I had thought of killing him, but I decided to spare him for the future of the novel.

Maybe just cutting off one arm will do.

Or perhaps, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to disrupt the magical circuit, making sure they never lay hands on magic again.

Hans, in the latter part of the novel, realizing his mistakes, became the antagonist sacrificing himself to protect the protagonist and the group.

So, I decided to spare him.

Just barely keeping him alive.

Thud. Thud. As the shadow of death loomed over Hans, he began to make his last desperate moves.

Squeezing the magic from the ground, Hans struggled with all his might to escape the crisis. There was a touch of pity in witnessing Hans exerting himself to break free, but unfortunately, decisions made once were not easily reversed.

With the minimal courtesy, I inquired of Hans.

“Which hand do you use more often?”

“…”

“Well, I guess I’ll use both hands then.”

“If you have time, it might be good to destroy the magical circuit as well.”

Facing my stern words with an expressionless face, Hans spoke in a trembling voice.

“Shut up…!”

“Alright. Then, shall we go with both legs?”

To eradicate the remnants of the aftermath, the moment a pitch-black sword fell under the moonlight.

Drawing a dagger from his bosom, Hans flicked his own finger with a sinister smile.

“Next time, I’ll kill you.”

Supporting the sacrifice with his finger, behind Hans, a black gate opened, gaining the power of darkness.

The moment the black gate swallowed Hans’s body and disappeared. I swung the sword, blocking his escape.

“You need to consider your actions.”

The black rose once again bloomed loudly.

This time, with the determination not to miss, it aimed to strike down towards Hans’s wrist.

“Stop right there.”

I halted my action at the voice of an old man coming from behind.

A familiar old man’s face stood at the entrance of the alley. And as Hans looked at the old man’s face, he too began to be filled with terror.

The owner of the tower.

The tower lord was standing before me.

“I will take him.”

I told the tower lord.

“It doesn’t seem possible. There are things that need to be settled.”

A fierce magic was emanating from the tower lord’s hand.

“I will take him. I will handle the settlement later.”

I let out a deep sigh.

“You must keep your word.”

*

The site of a fierce battle.

After seeing off the vanished Hans and the abductor, Matapju, I sighed deeply as I looked at the huge breach in the wall.

“Who should I bill for the repairs?”

“I can’t bill the heretics, nor can I bill Matap.”

Since there is no law in the Empire for the destruction of property by unauthorized groups causing riots, I looked around and muttered quietly.

“Just go.”

It’s beneficial for mental health to stay away from things no one knows about. Knowing that it’s good for my wallet if no one witnesses it, considering my past experience of breaking things with the young lady, I decided to just pass by.

Having learned a new spell and receiving a sword as a gift, we’ve never experienced compensating for damages.

Glancing around once again, I slowly approached Yuria, who was leaning against the building.

Yuria, intoxicated, couldn’t resist the effects of alcohol and was already asleep.

“Koo…”

Sleep well.

I was secretly worried about what would happen if Yuria woke up during a battle, but seeing her peacefully asleep due to the alcohol, I let out a relieved sigh.

“Let’s go.”

At that moment when I was about to lift Yuria onto my back.

A familiar pain surged in my right hand.

“Ah…”

I momentarily forgot.

The rise in dark magic resistance brought back the forgotten scars of the past. I should have been considering the potential side effects of using the breakthrough ability, but I had been neglecting the issue for a while. Unaware of the severity, I took a step away from Yuria.

I discreetly glanced at my right hand, feeling the stinging pain.

The hand was turning pitch black.

The scars that had been there before were beginning to resurface.

The scars would disappear once the penalty ended.

I couldn’t predict what Yuria would say if she saw this.

Let’s just sit until the pain subsides for a moment.

I leaned against the wall, swallowing the pain I felt.

Before long,

I was startled by a voice breaking the silence.

“Uh…?”

Yuria was looking at me.

With trembling eyes, she spoke.

  5. rob z rob z says:

I was actually very frustrated with the last two chapters until the cliff here. MC handled the conversation with Yuria poorly, and the whole “keep Hans alive for the story” aspect pissed me off to no end. Author managed to turn it around with the drama at the end.

    1. I agree with you. Maybe author keeps delaying romantic progression with Yulia for later?

    2. well keep him alive but cut off his limbs isn’t exactly merciful

he’s not always there to move the plot of the original story

if it was then the system would alway interrupt his future bath times with Olivia

I thought there will be no cliff after the fight ended. Oh boi, how wrong i was…. and to think it was this steep

  7. Nooooo! Not only it was over for now, it was a cliff!
