The Villainess Whom I Had Served for 13 Years Has Fallen chapter 146

146 - Protecting Yuria -3-

146 – Protecting Yuria -3-

The red thunder pouring towards the heretics showed no signs of stopping.

Once towards Hans.

“Kraaah…! What’s the deal with that monster brat!”

Twice towards the scornful Archbishop.

“What is this! That monster…!”

And thrice towards Ruin, reigning on the battlefield.

“That damn bastard…!”

“Sorry. I need to maintain balance.”

The red thunder was separating the heretics and the students who lost their composure on the battlefield. Relentlessly pouring down, the red thunder was causing the heretics to collapse miserably.

The red lightning was defying conventional instantaneous magic and traversing a different path.

-Kurrrung…

In terms of power.

In the speed at which magic is composed.

It was overcoming the weaknesses of the attribute of thunder.

Universally known, the lightning magic had a considerably longer casting time compared to other spells.

The characteristic of ‘electricity’ itself posed a great challenge for the people of this world to imagine, and it took quite some time to apply it.

Despite its explosive power, it was an attribute with clear drawbacks, but such constraints did not apply to the redhead sorcerer.

He was someone from a world where electricity was commonplace, having learned how to efficiently use magic from novels.

Ricardo was overwhelming them, driving them back with a significant difference in skill.

When Ricardo flicked his finger, the cascading crimson thunderbolts continued to rain down, constricting the heretics’ breath.

“Was magic really this easy?”

Ricardo taunted them with a light smile.

Hans’ mind was in turmoil.

A significant error had occurred in the meticulously planned scheme.

As someone who meticulously planned everything, the involvement of Ricardo was an unexpected variable.

He never thought Ricardo from Hamel would attend the academy gala, nor did he expect him to recognize Uria.

Planning to lure the now beauty-deprived Uria away and kidnap her in an unpopulated area, everything began to go awry with Ricardo’s appearance.

There were many blind fools consumed by jealousy whom he could easily manipulate.

This time, as well, the lad with an overwhelming presence compared to his peers, hiding so much, was once again disrupting his plans.

Everything was unfolding as planned until Ricardo arrived….

Like a well-dried skein, everything was unraveling, and seeing Rune torment Uria more severely than anticipated filled him with excitement.

How would Rune react upon learning the true identity of the ignored woman, or if Uria spat cold words at Rune with a contemptuous expression? He even considered delaying his plans and releasing Uria’s magic in front of Rune out of genuine sentiment, but everything had been thrown off course by that monster’s appearance.

The tangled skein, which was coming undone smoothly, began to twist and tangle upon the monster’s arrival, now turning into an unsolvable knot.

‘To catch that monster… I might need to bring a desperate bishop. No, perhaps a cardinal.’

Thought he was adept with a black blade, what is he up to, that lad?

Hans watched Ricardo calmly casting spells, venting his frustration.

He wasn’t the only one having such thoughts.

Mikhail, facing off against the mocking bishop, also glanced at Ricardo in disbelief, chuckling, while his comrade stared at Ricardo with a stern expression.

“What the…”

The voice of his despairing comrade echoed.

“What’s up with that guy?”

*

Rune looked down at her hand, chuckling in disbelief. She, who could only conjure a few more fireballs than others, felt too inadequate compared to Ricardo, effortlessly unleashing magic.

Envious to the point of death of having the peculiar attribute of ‘raze,’ Rune felt a strong sense of inferiority towards Ricardo, who used that magic as naturally as breathing.

Even if she used the secret technique taught by the Tower Master, she felt she couldn’t defeat him.

Rune’s confidence stemmed from the secret technique revealed by the Tower Master. The unique magic created by the Tower Master in the tower was known only to the Tower Master and herself.

She thought she could defeat anyone as long as she had that, but upon seeing Ricardo, Rune slowly acknowledged that such thoughts were sheer arrogance.

She knew, but she didn’t expect it to be this severe.

It’s quite harsh to have magic stolen from you.

With trembling eyes, Rune looked down at her hand as a black sphere began to rapidly approach her.

Silently evading the sphere approaching to throttle her breath, Rune looked ahead.

“Hans…!”

“Rune.”

Hans was untying his wrists as he walked towards Ruin.

Since he couldn’t achieve his goal of kidnapping Yuria, Hans thought he might as well fulfill his cruel desires by stealing Ruin’s unique magic, the ‘Fire Glyph,’ which he failed to snatch last time. Without any hesitation, Hans started pouring out his magic on Ruin.

For some reason, Ricardo seemed unwilling to assist Ruin.

Though the exact reason was unclear, Ricardo seemed content standing still and providing magical support in front of Yuria and Hanna. Moreover, the Archbishop of Slander was restraining Ricardo.

Seizing the moment while the Archbishop of Slander was holding Ricardo back, Hans aimed to gain some profit.

Creating a gust of wind with his magic, Hans plunged into Ruin’s arms.

“Wake up, Ruin.”

A fierce, piercing crack resonated.

“Argh…!”

The black sphere formed by Hans swiftly struck Ruin’s chest.

As Hans’s attack reverberated through the ballroom, Ruin coughed and clutched his chest, while Hans once again pushed himself into Ruin’s arms and spoke.

“We’re in the middle of a battle right now.”

“…Ugh. Get yourself together, Hans!”

“Stop blabbering nonsense and get a grip.”

-Crack…!

Ruin was slammed against the ballroom wall, dust swirling around him. In front of many students, Ruin, who had fallen, had no time to feel ashamed as he focused all his attention on defending against Hans’s onslaught of magic.

“You’re nothing. You’re not as strong as Ricardo, let alone me.”

“You can beat a pathetic loser like you. Shut up.”

“hahahahaha! Ruin, you’re really amusing. Can I call you a comedian?”

Hans smirked as he shot a black thorn at Ruin.

“I used to think you were amazing before, you know? Your magic was impressive, and your learning speed was exceptional. I envied you a lot and thought you were really great…”

With a mocking laugh, Hans’s laughter pierced Ruin’s ears.

“You’re truly hopeless, aren’t you?”

The sound of Ruin grinding his teeth reached Hans’s ears. Delighted by Ruin’s gaze, which seemed ready to burst with uncontrollable anger, Hans smiled.

Even though the mission had failed, he could still have fun with Ruin.

“Mocking your magic for failing to see through Yuria.”

“I said shut up.”

“Getting cocky due to pointless pride, picking on Ricardo and ending up getting your butt kicked.”

“Keep blabbering. I’ll sew it up for you.”

“And not even knowing the current situation and just running your mouth…!”

Hans’s eyes glinted as he spoke.

“You’re a disgrace. Isn’t that right?”

“You bastard!”

Swish. A burning flame grazed Hans’s cheek. Feeling the fiery wrath of his ally, Hans grinned with keen interest as he cast another spell at Ruin.

The cooperative act is now over.

With nothing more to say to Ruin.

He wanted to tease a bit more, to torment a bit longer, but it seemed the Archbishop of Slander wouldn’t hold out much longer.

-aaargh!

-Mikhail, stop the banter and focus on the square.

– Ugh!

– Stop making those weird noises.

– Ugh…! Just shut up!

– Shut up and look ahead.

Hans, who was determined to kill Ricardo by any means, was unaffected by the Archbishop’s dark magic insults that were poured with full force. Hans, who thought there was no time to waste on the Archbishop’s labored breathing, continued to battle.

While in the midst of the fight, Mikhail was rapidly growing stronger, and Histania Hanna, who was behind Ricardo, was slowly gathering her aura to join the battle.

Hans suspected that if the two of them joined forces, the Archbishop wouldn’t last more than 10 minutes against them.

Therefore.

Hans believed it was time to put an end to this tragic fate.

“Ruin. I envied you for a long time.”

Unable to withstand the torrent of Hans’ dark magic, Ruin was pinned to the wall, struggling to catch his breath. Ruin, whose entire body was covered in fatigue, felt the overwhelming difference in power and vented his anger.

“Darn it… darn it….!!!”

Feeling the pressure of Ruin’s intense gaze, Hans aimed a kick towards Ruin’s head.

*Crack.* The sound of a resounding crack.

Hans looked at Ruin, who had collapsed, with a bitter expression.

“We were both orphans, but you excelled, and I was so inadequate.”

“Cough… cough.”

“Even though you groveled like a dog for Tower Lord’s affection, your friends accepted you. How infuriating.”

“You did the same…”

“Enough.”

Hans harshly grabbed Ruin’s hair and said, “Ruin, a person must know humility.”

“…”

From Noble mtl dot com

“If you were lucky enough to be chosen by the Tower Lord, you should live quietly. It was nothing, the same life, but you shouldn’t disrespect me.”

“I…”

“Shut up. Don’t start that nonsense again.”

Hans began to press his foot against Ruin’s face and slowly placed his hand on Ruin’s body. Dark magic that steals everything from the opponent who understands it.

His own magic.

The supreme dark magic that he could excel at more than Ruin once again emitted a sinister aura, beginning to strangle Ruin’s breath.

“Try living without that fancy magic for once.”

“What are you doing…”

Ruin said with a trembling voice. As the menacing flames approached, Hans removed Ruin’s hand, which was trembling on his shoulder, and said, “What am I doing.”

Slowly, a red bead emerged from Ruin’s body.

Hans looked greedily at the bead and replied, “I took what you cherish the most.”

As Hans finished speaking, Ruin’s vision faded to black.

And then.

“Is it over?”

Ricardo, standing on the Archbishop’s corpse, came into view before Hans.

Hans lowered his head, touching his forehead.

“X feet.”

*

The banquet hall was a mess after everything was over.

Malik, who had come as part of the royal knights, sighed as he looked at the chaotic scene in the banquet hall.

“So, what happened here?”

Sitting on top of a body dressed in white priest robes, I awkwardly smiled as I watched Malik’s bewildered expression.

“A surprise?”

“Sigh…”

Malik looked at me with tired eyes and said, “Who should we blame this time?”

“You’re quick to assume. Brother.”

“Don’t call me brother. Monster.”

“Calling me a monster is quite harsh. It hurts my delicate ears.”

I smiled as I looked at the fallen Mikhail.

“Let’s go with Mikhail.”

  1. God Heaven God Heaven says:

In a sense I suppose it was kinda inevitable that Ruin had a trash personality his parents died at a young age he became an orphan barley had anything basically having no real parental guidance in life and ensuring a harsh environment. Even after joining the academy he was showered with praise and spoiled the tower master didn’t really guide him properly at least to our current knowledge. He became a man child who threw fits all the time and acted arrogantly as a result. Although this explains why he ended up as trash fact or the matter is it doesn’t excuse his actions and considering the fact that he regularly abused this magic and tried to inflict harm on others this is just karma. Now that he’s lost Hans his childhood friend, Yuria the girl he loves, and was beaten down I actually think he might experience some serious growth here at our lowest point we are open to the greatest Change after all. Although it’s equally likely he’ll try to do something astronomically stupid like Olivia.

Hans is a PoS as well, but I liked seeing him piss off Ruin here 😅

  3. Lmao I like how Ricardo appeared right after Ruin is Ruined
