Incompatible Interspecies Wives chapter 108

108 - Master of Heroes (3)

108 – Mentor of Heroes (3)

Gail speaks to Adam who made the choice.

“Don’t worry, Adam. We’ve given up on looking for Rin’s fighters directly.”

“…”

“I won’t even tell you to join the hero’s party. You and Berg too.”

Even reassured by that statement, Adam had doubts.

“Then why are you bothering me?”

Gail stares at Adam with her sharp pupils.

“…Because I believe that at the right moment, he will be active.”

“…”

“That must be the mission of a fighter for solitude.”

Gail turned.

It seemed to be heading towards Berg.

Adam calls again for Gail, who grabs the doorknob.

“…Gail.”

Gail turned to Adam at the call.

Adam didn’t want to let things run their course now.

If things went like this, he had to find a profit in it.

“…I believe the war is coming to an end.”

Gail nodded.

“I think so too. I killed 4 intelligent demons, and all that remains is the demon king and his right hand. See it’s coming to an end Either way.”

“There will be a lot of changes.”

“That must be the case.”

Adam paused and then spoke.

“As you know, we are preparing for the post-war situation. I made Blackwood and Celebrien sides.”

Gail nodded.

Adam says. Only then does this topic come out.

“I would like you to tell Your Majesty the King a good story about us.”

“…”

“…It’s not that difficult.”

Gail pondered Adam’s words and sighed with a smile.

He said.

“Yes. Please.”

****

I watched Gail step out of the house again.

The wives who were hanging around me also raised their heads at his appearance.

Gail smiled and spoke softly to me.

“Berg. I was waiting for you.”

“…”

“The conversation with Adam is over. Let’s talk for a while.”

With that, Gale put his elbow on the sword at his waist.

I still couldn’t anticipate what kind of problem Gale came to me with.

Did you come here for sparring? Or did he come to send a warning?

…Or something else?

I sighed and stood up.

Ner and Arwin also rise after me.

Gail gestures to them.

“Oh, I’m sorry…I want to talk to Berg alone.”

At those words, the wives froze.

“Please.”

Ner and Arwin nodded at Gail’s words.

The moment I took a step, Arwin held my hand.

In an instant, the fingers intertwine as if interlocking.

“Berg.”

“…?”

“…I’m not the kind of person who would do that, but if you make a strange offer…Should I refuse?”

At the same time, she sent me a concern.

She seemed to feel a certain sense of responsibility because she was the one who persuaded her to lower her guard against Gail.

“…”

I gave her a smile.

No matter how much you wished for my death in the past, it’s okay as long as you worry about me like this now.

I nodded and took turns looking at her wives, then followed Gail.

.

.

.

Gail led me into a forest where no one was there.

For some reason, I stopped him as he seemed to be looking for a space to sparring.

“…Tell me.”

I didn’t have much time to spend with Gail.

Just a while ago, I was on a new journey with my wives.

Gail smiled at me as she understood my intentions.

Then, as if it couldn’t be helped, he turned to me and said.

“Yes. We can talk about it here.”

“Why did you come?”

At my question, Gail sat down on the floor.

After removing small stones that are rolling around, take a comfortable posture.

“I heard rumors about you.”

“What are you talking about specifically?”

“Well, saying that the boss subjugation record exceeds 200 or something… Excellent skills… Or beating the elf swordsman Gallias in a fight…”

“…”

When I didn’t respond, he asked to confirm.

“Is everything true?”

I answered lightly.

“Because I have a good teacher.”

“Who is your teacher?”

“…This is Captain Adam.”

Gail nods his head and tells me.

“…Was it Adam? It seems the two of you aren’t friends for nothing.”

“…”

“Ah, in front of me, you don’t have to exalt Adam as Captain Adam. It’s usually like a brother and sister relationship.”

I shrugged and asked Gail.

“…Anyway. Why did you come looking for me? You haven’t answered my question yet.”

“Is it necessary to be in such a hurry? I was going to bring the topic up slowly.”

I nodded in the direction of my wives.

“I was on a road trip with my wives.”

“…”

At that, Gail nodded very slowly.

Soon, a small pity appears in his eyes.

…Sounds like a pity.

As much as something has been hanging from the back of his head ever since he heard that he was the teacher of the warrior party… Even that appearance evokes uncomfortable feelings.

Gail let out a long sigh. So he says

“Yes. You don’t seem to like roundabouts, so I’ll tell you.”

“I am listening.”

From noble mtl dot com

“Do you know that he is the god of solitude?”

“…”

There was silence for a long time.

The sound of the wind filled the space between us.

The chirping of birds and the cries of the crew continuing their training from a distance follow.

Among that, I was frowning.

Lin.

The god of solitude.

There’s no way I couldn’t hear it.

I cursed the five gods for a while.

As I frown like that, Gail says.

“Yes, there is no way you don’t know.”

“…”

“I have a duty, Berg. You must guide the heroes. But I still don’t know who the god of solitude, Rin’s fighter, is.”

I gritted my teeth and answered with difficulty.

“I don’t know either. I am not interested in it in the first place.”

“That’s not what I meant, Berg. I see the possibility that you are Rin’s champion. Just like Adam.”

“……”

I didn’t know what I was feeling right now.

It seemed that only time would tell if it was unpleasant or something else.

It was just absurd to associate God with me.

At the same time, a worry rose up.

“…You mean that Adam has the potential to become a fighter for Rin as well?”

Could it be that Adam is being ripped off from me as a fighter for God?

I couldn’t stand it at all.

I didn’t want to experience such an incomprehensible parting anymore.

Gail said as if she noticed my anxiety.

“That’s right. But don’t worry. There will be no joining the hero’s party.”

I then asked him.

“What do you look for to determine your qualifications?”

Gail replied.

“…They say that special beings with painful pasts could possibly be Rin’s fighters.”

I burst out laughing.

“…How do you know I had a past like that.”

But Gail said as if it were natural.

“…You know.”

He paused for a moment before he spoke.

“A person with the same pain as you was my disciple.”

“…………”

I gritted my teeth.

Your expression is crumpled.

My fists rolled up and started to tremble slightly.

“…”

I stood like that for a while, suppressing my emotions.

I took a slow, deep breath.

If it had been in the past, I wouldn’t have been able to endure it this far.

But lately I’ve been trying to understand.

It’s the past.

To this day, it was disrespectful to my wives.

Even so, the displeasure didn’t change.

“…You better watch your mouth.”

I told Gail.

But Gail shook her head.

“Wounds fester if left alone. You have to touch it like this to become stronger.”

“You say that you are from a slum with no home education.”

Gail laughed out loud at that.

He laughed for a while and said.

“I can’t argue with that, okay.”

I shook my head.

He spat on the floor as if to vomit his stuffy heart.

And I told him.

“The conversation is over. Please return carefully.”

Gail insisted.

“Berg. You will need my guidance too.”

“Enough.”

I turned around.

“Didn’t you say that you might be Rin’s fighter?”

“I don’t believe in that kind of thing.”

I moved on.

“It’s not a matter of believing or not, it’s about whether there is anything wrong with being prepared. Aren’t you afraid of the deaths of so many people?”

“It’s not my business. I only intend to take care of my own people.”

Leaving Gail behind.

The moment the conversation was about to end, a voice rang out.

“…The saintess endured everything for you.”

-Tak.

His steps stood firm.

My body turns slowly without my knowledge.

Gail and I meet eyes.

“…”

“…”

My lips trembled.

‘I won’t come back.’

Someone’s voice echoes.

I vividly recall the situation at that time.

‘When the job is done, I will be a hero. What is the reason to come back to you again?’

Focus shakes. I’ve been out of breath

‘…That’s all for best friends.’

I couldn’t forget a single word. I guess I was mistaken for forgetting.

‘I will live as a saint from now on. I can’t even get married anymore.’

It was Shien who betrayed me.

She was the one who said she would live well without me.

…Wait for me, she was the one who couldn’t say that one word.

‘…… Let’s leave the memories we’ve accumulated so far as memories.’

I thought I was getting better…Gail’s words shook me so hard.

Cien endured everything for me.

‘Don’t forget me, Bell.’

You didn’t even give me a choice.

“…What do you… Know…!”

Rage rises to hide bitterness…

Maybe it’s because I let her go now more than she used to.

Maybe it was because she felt that she shouldn’t be like this anymore.

She knew it was a provocation.

I wonder if it’s because the one in front of me wasn’t Shien.

The collapse came.

And that much sadness.

I clenched my fist while glaring at Gail.

“… Ha.”

And with a sigh, I turned around.

The people who manage the heroes are really expert in manipulation and guilt tripping huh kek

  2. Anon says:

nah, blame his weak self as for why she had to do that. mc would be dead otherwise

    1. Anon says:

oh and if you think hope would have saved the mc then it’s wrong because only despair kept him alive (he grew strong because he did not fear death)

  3. Jecker 17 Jecker 17 says:

‘The saintess endured everything for you’, that is very likely true. However, it is an undeniable fact that she broke their relationship. She is the one who left him, albeit for a good cause. To assume that he will always be single and awaiting her return, is utter foolishness considering she, herself, stated that she won’t be coming back. If she once asked Berg to wait for her, he would have waited, that is a certainty.

Saying that line now is basically guilt tripping Berg into becoming the hero. It is an extremely scummy thing to do. She is correct in wanting the war to end, but that doesn’t excuse her current behavior.

  4. Kingshand says:

I really like how the way he grew closer to his wives is the same way he originally grew closer to his… Love. His ideas of how a couple should be all come from her, and it’s because of her, he respects his word to a T. I dislike those saying that it’s dumb or bad because it really isn’t, especially with how well written it was.

  5. LuxX says:

Hey, this is dangerous. I felt like I was walking on the rope the author was holding, and if he wanted it, I would fall to the bottom of hell with an exploding heart. This is really not good, save…

  6. Vic says:

bruh this is plain rubbish plotline

  7. I M says:

I’m getting tired of this fooken simp bro, getting all emotional over some tail that dumped him when they were teenagers not even dating. I’d understand if that was something more serious like the wife who had a child with him or a lover who gave him her body and mind smth like that, but just because of some friend from adolescence with whom he had a vague relationship he be like “oh no my memories of her hurt so much I’m still so heartbroken even after so many years blah blah” miss me with that bs
