Incompatible Interspecies Wives chapter 140

140 - Capital (4)

140 – Capital (4)

The warrior Felix kept looking back as he moved.

It wasn’t just Felix.

It was the same with Akran and Silprien.

You will watch the saint who keeps falling behind.

“…”

“…”

In the past few days, the saintess has been getting thinner.

She said she would move on to the next battlefield, but she was… It was like looking at a dangerous vine.

She had no place to lean on, so she tried to fall helplessly.

It seemed that she couldn’t do anything with her will.

She was her saintess who continued to move her steps, but the shock given to her seemed too much for her to handle.

She stumbled and fell many times, and shed silent tears.

Her skin was crumbly, and her eyes were always red.

Even if she collapsed for a moment like that, there was nothing else to say.

“…Let’s take a break and go.”

So Felix made a choice.

She speaks naturally, as if talking to her companions other than the saintess.

It was my own consideration.

If she revealed that she was resting for the sake of her saintess, she would almost certainly say that the saintess should move on.

“Let’s do it.”

Akrando So nodded her head,

“Yes.”

Silprien didn’t rebel either.

They sat down first so that the saintess could not say anything else.

“…”

The saintess looked at her companions who threw her consideration, and she gave a hard smile. She also took her seat and sat down.

Her glimpse was her taking her rest away in her secluded place.

No one in the party of warriors went to offer consolation first.

She’s already tried it, but it wasn’t helping.

Currently, there was only one person who could give comfort to her saintess… He had left her saintess.

Felix looked at her and scratched her head.

I keep exhaling sighs filled with heavy worries.

Did you say that a crisis is the most dangerous when you don’t grasp that it is a crisis?

Felix tried to understand the current situation more objectively than anyone else.

…The war situation was greatly delayed.

As much as the warrior party settled down in the Jackson family, several families desperate for help suffered a major blow.

The war was going like a war of attrition.

In battles, they may have frequently won victories, but if the war continued, it was the Kingdom that would eventually face defeat.

As for the situation, the last days were always the strongest moments, and the kingdom was being eaten away little by little by the demons.

In such a situation, Felix was trying to grasp the situation well.

I think maybe the most powerful moment is right now.

Especially now that the saintess is being ruined like that, that thought has become stronger.

Judging that the saintess will be able to stand up properly…If she even collapses.

Can we move forward then?

Maybe now is the golden hour.

Felix did not want to forget Gail’s teachings.

They say the perfect moment never comes.

Sometimes you have to be courageous and act even when it seems unfavorable.

That time is the right time.

“Should I….Smash the demon lord?”

Looking at the struggling saintess with her head buried in her lap, Felix muttered involuntarily.

“…Yes?”

Silprien was surprised by those words and asked back.

“Oh, no…”

Felix tried to retrieve the words he had unknowingly uttered, but…

“…”

The more I thought about it, the more I thought it might be a good decision.

The kingdom was groaning heavily in war.

The number of crumbling families continues to increase.

In the meantime, families who couldn’t afford to ask for help started selling people.

As a result, Berg also got two wives.

Can this situation continue in the future?

Maybe I just don’t understand the real limit.

The perfect moment never comes.

The plan to kill the demon lord’s right hand and then go catch the demon lord might have been rather arrogant.

It was something I might not be able to endure until then.

So Felix asked in an instant.

“…What do you think about catching the next target, not the demon lord’s right hand… But the demon lord?”

I ask that only Akran and Silprien listen.

The two were momentarily speechless at the suggestion.

Felix looked at Akran and said.

“…End the war, Akran.”

Agran hates war more than anyone else, and agitation blooms on his face.

“…End the conflict and find a peaceful life.”

Silprien didn’t say that the suggestion was foolish.

Felix meditates on his words and says while looking at the saintess.

“…Might not have much time left.”

“…”

“It might be too late to wait for the fighter of solitude.”

No one could easily answer.

There was silence for a while.

Still, one thing was certain…It wasn’t such a foolish plan that everyone objected.

“…Think about it a little longer.”

Silprien whispered.

It seemed that she needed time to make her own judgment.

“…A little more.”

Silprien’s eyes looked at her saintess.

****

A few days pass in the capital.

As the king said, I felt the rumors about me gradually spread.

I tried not to pay much attention.

The training with Gale helped me to do that.

-Kang!

“More than you can imagine, Berg! The pressure is definitely different when you’re facing each other in person!”

Gail spoke to me in the middle of the sparring.

Every time he strikes a sword with him, his hand vibrates differently.

Each one was a heavy blow.

It seemed to be wielded lightly, but it possessed destructive power beyond imagination.

After several combinations, Gale, who momentarily rotated his body, raised his sword from below.

Blocking the attack, I threw dirt with my foot at Gale, who was relatively below him.

From noble mtl dot com

-Chack!

The dirt sprinkled on the snow exactly.

Even dirty, this was my way of fighting.

“…!”

But Gail didn’t close her eyes even when dirt got in her eyes.

It smiles and shows a yaksha-like appearance that has not been seen before.

“That’s not it, Berg…! You can’t block the opponent’s sight with that!”

At the same time, Gale twisted his sword.

The blade of the sword reflects sunlight and shines in its eyes.

I couldn’t see anything even when I opened my eyes.

– Puck!

Gail kicks into the center of the ship.

I find out where Adam learned to kick.

“Ugh!”

I couldn’t breathe, but I forced myself to hold on.

If you bend down here, you will be broken by Gail.

“That guts.”

Gail said and swung her sword.

His attacks evolve one step.

The light reflected from the eye in the middle of the sword strike.

It strangely twists the sword and attacks me.

I was amazed at the accuracy with which the light shined into my eyes.

Gail was nowhere to be seen.

I wonder if he instinctively added three or four more.

“Stop!”

Gael exclaimed.

After the glistening sunlight disappeared, the blade of the sword touched my neck.

“…”

I finally burst out laughing.

I thought I knew why he was called the best warrior of the Yongin people.

“You lost.”

I said lowering my sword.

Only then did the monster-like aura disappear from Gail’s face.

“Good job, Berg. It was an interesting fight.”

I said, wiping sweat from the hem of my clothes.

“I’m glad I did.”

“Still, don’t you think you know the other person better after talking with the sword? I also learned about you. Of course, I’ve already heard about it… But you’ve been living violently, yes.”

“…”

“I must have suffered similarly to Adam. His skills seem to be better than Adam’s, but that’s all.”

I stopped for a moment at Adam’s story.

It wasn’t that he didn’t have any questions about Adam’s past.

I just didn’t bother to ask.

Nevertheless, I asked.

“…Do you know Adam’s past?”

Gail nodded.

“Yeah, you know. Would you like to hear a story?”

“…”

I shook my head.

I didn’t want to hear it like this.

Even if I heard it, I wanted to know it through Adam hyung’s mouth.

“By the way, what about the crew?”

Gail asked in an instant.

I laughed.

“I got skin. He went around enjoying various things in the capital.”

There was no shortage of goods for the mercenaries.

Adam always rewarded them generously.

Recently, I haven’t been training them that much either.

It might be a counter-evidence that my heart has become calmer than before.

So it seemed like everyone was having a good time.

The faces of the members who gathered every evening to report were full of smiles and grease.

A more comfortable daily life was flowing in the capital.

“…?”

I looked up in a momentary gaze.

There was someone watching us outside the training ground.

“…”

I asked Gail more cautiously than her.

“…Did you say it’s better not to get involved with nobles?”

Gail nodded her head.

“I did.”

“…What if the opponent is royalty?”

“…”

Gail also followed my gaze and looked upwards.

Looking for the figure of Leah Draigo, he lowers his head.

Gail did not give me a specific answer.

“…Careful, Berg.”

Instead he says.

“I shouldn’t say this, but… the princess likes toys.”

“…”

“Maybe it would be better if I didn’t interest you anymore.”

“…”

I sighed.

I hoped that the problem would not spread.

****

Berg went to training.

Arwin said he had visited the study.

Nerman was sitting alone in the inn.

She didn’t particularly like going out or meeting people.

Ner came to like my white tail thanks to Berg, but his timid personality didn’t go anywhere.

But it wasn’t boring either.

She was passing the time looking at the wonderful scenery from her window.

“…”

When I stare blankly like that, thoughts from a few days ago keep coming back.

The image of Berg reaching out appears in front of his eyes.

It was the hand that Berg handed over to the soldiers as they left holding hands with the woman they were going to mix with.

If only he had held that hand…

Ner shook his head to clear his thoughts.

He sighs.

It was a sigh mixed with a slightly strange breath.

“…”

I couldn’t figure out why it was like this lately.

It wasn’t even in heat, but my body kept getting hot.

Weird thoughts rule my head.

In my imagination, Ner could always be a little more extreme.

I pretended to be calm and innocent, but Ner already knew himself.

She was the one who put her scent on Berg every night.

With no one to evaluate, I could become bolder and braver than anyone else.

Ner swallowed and looked around the room.

Is it because I am alone?

Those strange urges come rushing in in an instant.

In her head, she knew how to relieve those urges.

She continued to gurgle her spittle, moving her changing cubicle behind her.

Soon Ner took off her jacket.

-Sueuk, sueuk.

The warm air touches her bare skin.

Soon after, she slowly picked up Berg’s clothes she had been looking at.

“…”

The urge that keeps getting stimulated even though you know it shouldn’t.

Ignoring her buzzing head, she became a little honest with her desires.

Wearing Berg’s clothes over her bare body.

Then he crouched down behind the screen, closed her eyes and smelled the scent of her clothes.

The illusion of being embraced by Berg arises.

“…Haa…”

At the same time, I recall the thoughts of that day.

I keep thinking about what would have happened to her if she had held Berg’s hand.

She actually thought that she wasn’t far off now.

Hug a little more often.

Match your cheeks a little more often.

Then when we kiss each other…

Wouldn’t it be okay after that?

If you get used to the current stimulation, wouldn’t it be possible to withstand the next level of stimulation?

In the first place, it was the future that would come someday.

It wouldn’t change if I put it off for a more appropriate moment.

I waited for the perfect moment.

I continued my thoughts while wearing Berg’s big clothes.

-Bung. Bung. Bung.

Her tail started wagging randomly.

It shakes so violently that her pelvis shakes slightly.

I was happy.

I don’t know if it’s all the more because I know that even if there are conflicts sometimes, the relationship can only be improved.

– Smart smart.

That’s when I heard a knock.

Ner was startled and froze.

‘I’ll go in, Ner.’

At the ensuing voice, Ner acted hurriedly and shouted.

“Wait a minute! Oh, I’m changing clothes!”

Ner shouted.

Then hurriedly took off Berg’s clothes.

Changing her back to her clothes, she started fanning her hands on her cheeks.

Her face was red even though she felt it herself.

She stayed like that for a long time and then said, managing her expression.

“De…You can come in.”

-Kikkik…

Only then did the door open and Berg entered.

Perhaps it is because he sweats through training, a thicker smell fills the room.

Ner unknowingly swallowed her saliva again.

Before Berg noticed, he sat down on her tail, preventing it from wobbling.

“What were you doing?”

Berg asked without malice.

But Ner, stung for nothing, held her chin and stared out her window, stuttering her words.

“…That, he was just sitting there.”

Berg said, letting out a sigh.

“Ner. It’s today.”

“What, what?”

“Supper. So I guess I should prepare.”

“…Ah.”

Berg took off her clothes one by one.

I heard a thud and his clothes fall.

Ner glanced at his body.

Looking at him drenched in sweat, I secretly swallowed my saliva again.

It seemed that the excitement from before had not calmed down yet.

“I’m just going to show my face and come out. Gail said it was better not to get involved with nobles.”

Actually, it was not polite to rush out of the dinner.

However, Nere did not dispute his words as he also wished that Berg would not be associated with nobles.

Speak instead.

“…I’ll clean up after you. You leave first, then.”

Berg nodded.

“I’ll wash my body and come back. You’re getting some more rest too. What about Arwin?”

“…Alwin-nim is still in the study.”

“Today too?”

“…Yes.”

After that, Berg nodded and moved on.

“…?”

Then, Berg froze for a while.

Suddenly, he was looking closely at Ner and asked.

“…Why are your cheeks so red?”

“What!? Oh no!”

“…”

“…More…Because it’s hot.”

“What’s hot?”

Ner replied while thinking of an urgent excuse.

“…Ooh, I was doing some exercise…”

“…Really?”

As if convinced by that answer, Berg moved his steps again.

“Anyway. I’ll wash up and come back.”

-Kikkik…Kung.

So he left.

Ner caught his breath, calming his frightened heart.

How long can Ner hold out tho 🧐

  2. Jecker 17 Jecker 17 says:

@Alxias, if by that you mean that MC makes his decisions to the benefit of others, you are correct.

And honestly, I am starting to pity Ner. Unlike Arwin, she has had so many chances to solidify her relationship with Berg. Yet, she is always waiting, waiting for the perfect time. We already know from prologue that the her ‘perfect’ time will not come.

    1. G says:

She deserves no pity. She entered into her arranged marriage willingly to get berg to sacrifice his men for her people. However, she had no intention of honoring the bargain because of some prophecy about her having a perfect man waiting for her, and so she participated in a plot to perform espionage that would aid her clan’s betrayal and leave her people’s savior dead along with everyone he cared for.

After realizing that he was her fated partner, she has beaten on berg while he was at his lowest to make him more pliable for her selfish desires. She did this because she knew he would sacrifice for her, and she could take advantage of his goodwill. She is doing this despite the prophecy she spent a decade obsessing over mentioning that her lover would be emotionally troubled and in need of her support just as much as he supported her. Not to mention, she still has not burned her list of settlement weaknesses she planned to use to betray him. Is she just leaving her options open? She is a garbage waifu and human trash of the lowest order.

Is it just me but mc decision is always not to him but to others?

  4. k says:

i agree with the first comment. I think all the necessary plot has appear, dragging this longer will ruin the pace. As a proof, i am not finish all the 10 chapters in one day like before.
Move to the post polygamy cancelled will be appropriate now.

  5. Bocchan says:

    Dragon King is racist ngl

  6. FlashRead66 says:

Before and after read other chapter, i read the the 1st chapter.

Author… Please kill the king and upgrade Berg’s Brain a little.

  7. Ozaki Ozaki says:

I have an inkling of how this will end already, and I am looking forward to it kekekeke

  8. Gahar says:

@Gladiator_02 The King is not fixing anyone’s problems. He is just securing a safe future for his own family by thinning out noble families and humans who are on the way (in his eyes) to exploit a loophole in kingdoms power structure.

It seems that until now all nobles where perfectly divided and easy to rule because of their racial differences but if humans begin to marry other races and have multiple wives on top of that a new kind of power will emerge in the kingdom. A power which can easily gather allies and challenge the royals who are limited to only the dragon race.
It is because bonds between families which are built with blood are stronger than those based only on words and oaths.

  9. Dragon King, before fixing humanities problems, fix ur daughter.

A new incompatible interspecies wife appears but this one isn’t it either

    Thx for translation

  10. Memomo says:

guh I just need time skip to the 1st chapter.. I hope the author doesn’t drag this any longer
