If I understanding this correctly, and I would appreciate if someone could correct me because the mtl is hard to follow, this is the most vile poison of any novel I have ever read on this site. In short, MC’s father betrays the kingdom for the Empire because the king groped his wife’s boobs on a balcony as some event. But in fact, MC knows based on past life it was much worse, that the king had actually been shtupping his wife. But MC betrays his father, never fesses up about the NTR, and instead pledges allegiance to the princess who is the daughter of the cuckolding king? This makes Oedipus look like a loving son. If this is indeed correct, f#ck this MC and this novel.
I read to chapter 51. Mc seems over powered in politics at first but that’s only because he’s 10 and knows the future. I don’t know if he will be that great in the future. It’s obvious the emperor really took him as his son-in-law and showed him the ropes. When he refused to marry the grand daughter/future empress he gave em the execution lol.
Story is pretty good. I can understand the annoying politics part but Mc is ruthless to himself and others. He doesn’t allow emotion to take hold of him after seeing it ruin his parents and family.

After five chapters, I lost all desire to continue reading this. This damn love polygon between the protagonist’s family and the royal family seems like a joke. Who even thought this was a good idea? The only thing I’m interested in is why the imperial princess in the first chapter wanted to be with the protagonist. Can someone give me a spoiler?

3/17. This is awful. If you have even the slightest historical knowledge, then the “politics” heavily featured in this novel will make you lose interest very very quickly. Zero historical accuracy, equivalency or even rationality. This is probably how an 8 years old would imagine a fantasy kingdom to work

I don’t know and will not read this novel, but checking the tags, I think the last thing you should be focused on an OP MC munchkin, regression fantasy novel is historical accuracy.
Anything that is influenced by historical western kingdoms/ states can and will be criticized for their historical inaccuracy.
this one is really heavy on politics.. it’s not bad written tho and it cam be enjoyable to read.. overall it’s above average and a somewhat fresh and novel experience if you’re bored of the infinitely repititive plots and clichés that are filling this website
Read up to Chapter 6.
There are a lot of things in these 6 chapters. The basic premise though is Mc is a traitor in his past life, he is broken because of experience and the princess saved him even though he made her life bad. It sounds bad I know but it’s above average. There lots of politics in here.
We get background info on our MC. We learn how he was a traitor and he regrets it. The scene here is dinner with his family, he is a noble with his siblings, parents. His father is telling us some juicy info. His father is a sword god and the reason he is tratior is because of him. The reason his father betrayed is the king who is useless and he tried to have s*x with his wife. Also he now knows not a dream. We learn of how mother has commited adultery with the king. Poltics and stuff that fills in the three chapters until chapter 6 where you learn that even his wife of the king thinks he is useless. A lot of stuff there where I can’t explain.
Overall 8/10
Mtl is above average, not as good as some other but above average
Story is dark so only for those who like dark storys. I see it contains about 3 grams of posion. I encourgae you to enjoy but it’s not for everyone.
Keep in mind I only read 6 chapters so it might become trash after 20 chapters. I give update in an hour.
