Confusion may just be the abscence of self awareness and reflection that can hinder one’s ability and humility to recognize and acknowledge one’s feelings.

I think a baseline (at least) to love should be a sense of contentment and comfort alongside a partner. Looks, money and such can still be recognized in the realm of passion and although passion can be present in love, love is not present in all passion so it’s still immature.

So all in all what’s needed for love is time and maturation. Although one could argue that people can fall in love quick and still last a lifetime but that’s in special circumstances that aren’t present/wouldn’t happen to people at all, hence my inherent belief that live at first sight is dubious at best. In the end though, even what I argue about could be at best categorized as love in marriage/long term relationship as love is a really broad term that can’t be wholly be put into words and categorized.
