this is not bad.
You always see this in these types of novels, but dodging coming sword attacks in a close quarter sword fight is almost impossible. Watch all the serious hema, kendo and fencing dueling videos on Youtube, I bet you can’t count a proper dodge similar to the ones in the novel more than the number of fingers a human has. Why? Because regardless of your movement speed, your arm will always and always be faster. There is not a single exception to this. You can give a sword to a 5 year old and try to dodge their attacks. You probably can’t dodge more than twice without having to literally jump back, aka disengage. This would be multiplied with the strength of the person, meaning superhumans can’t dodge coming sword attacks any better than a regular swordsman. In fact, their duels would end even faster and with less parries and feints.

Definitely not as bad as some of the reviews below make it sound. Yes, it is relatively generic and has been done a bunch of time before – MC possesses a villain character with a bad reputation, and uses his game knowledge to fix things / save the world. Although, I do note that the slightly different aspect is that the system gives him the “quests” that are needed to save the world / fix the game, so MC just follows along with the system quests and collects rewards for being successful (but gets to decide how the quests are fulfilled).
But the key here is that the novel does not fall prey to bad tropes. MC is not dense, or a beta, or a simp. He does not “hide his powers” because “reasons”, only the source of his game knowledge. He does not slavishly follow the plot. There are harem elements, but the fiancee seems pretty clearly like she will be the winning FMC at this point, so its not too offensive.
So yes, you have probably read the same story a few times, but it is at least “OK” because of how it is executed – 6/10.
This novel, I think just so-so. MC poses the character in the novel which tells the struggle of a princess who wants to become emperor and proves that as a woman she has the ability to be a ruler. The character that MC possesses is a wominizer who sleeps with many women. Even though the MC says he is different from the original character, the MC is also a playboy who likes to seduce and flirt with women, even though he never crosses the line like the original MC. The MC is a tall, handsome and rich man who makes the hearts of many female characters beat, including the original female protagonist. The first arc involves how he persuades the witch to actually be a saint. This is probably the weakest arc. The second arc is how the MC makes his fiancé and childhrood open her heart to him again. Third arc about him convincing the dark elf assassin who wanted to kill him. This novel is more like how MC collects waifu, even though MC has promised not to cheat on his fiancé, I think he will.
I kinda like this novel.
This novel didn’t have a good start in fact I was planning to drop it after the first 10 chapters, but decided to push all 50 chapters.
It got better in the middle part, but it was only at chapter 38 where I started to like it since there was a quest that didn’t give death as a penalty. Which showed how the MC really thinks and somehow it got a bit interesting.
While this novel doesnt bring anything new it does work fine as a junk food reading. Looking forward for more.
Personally, I don’t like this novel because I have read too many novels with similar clinches. MC poses the novel villain character. To make the plot work, the author creates a quest that the MC must carry out or he dies. From this way of writing, we can guess that the author does not know how to make the story progress and the characters develop naturally. Many people around MC are suspicious of MC’s changes, some misunderstand that MC has been pretending all this time, and the heroines’ characters are obsessed with MC.

i think you should read CN novels instead of KR novels lol.
CN novels are too rigid and the authors scare me. KR novels get everything right except what I want 😡
JP novels… don’t read them. I have not read a single serious good JP novel. The ones that are a gag or don’t take itself seriously, pretty fine but cmon JP, KR and CN are beating you.
