As a wizard of the Illusion Magic School, I decided to use illusion magic to create a virtual reality for playing TRPGs.
It was great to have created the virtual reality, but I was in trouble because I couldn’t find suitable players. Then, I received an offer from the royal family for a professorship at the academy.
The offer was to safely fill the students’ lack of practical experience with illusion magic. And so, I became a professor at the academy.
“Send me back to that world, right now!”
“The foreign gods, someday the foreign gods will drive us to ruin, everyone will die!”
“I am not the illegitimate child of the Redburn Ducal Family. I am Namgung Cheonghwi, the foremost disciple of the Great Namgung Clan!”
But it seems there’s a bit of a misunderstanding.
This is not dimensional travel magic, but fiction, kids…

The Murim Heavenly Demon arc isn’t finished but it’s looking pretty good, I’d rank it between 2-3 so far.

Fate, destiny, stupid things that bind us in order to keep us weak. To prevent us from playing ball and aspiring beyond the stars.
There are multiple dimensions and worlds, each governed by celestial administrators to fine tune the world and see life bloom. Why does destiny and fate exist if they are to see life blossom? Idk this is getting too far, what I want to say is
Hunter style story, but the reasons they have monsters and stuff is cause one guy was so good and genius or whatever that he broke his destiny. That’s a no no, you just messed up the dimensional laws and now everything is in chaos!! That guy is like the Prometheus that brought fire and intelligence to man, but it is now freedom.
Monsters spew out from different realms at an exponential rate, ‘godly’ beings begin to build their pantheons, and the essence of magic begins to wrap its dirty hands on this world.
Jk magic is cool, I want to shoot magic lightning bolts from my fingertips.
and the story is defying fate, I hate destiny I desire free will. I hate your desires but I will fight for your right to have it, snd also so you suffer the consequences cause no destiny get out of jail card now hehehe
Now that I have time to think, I should definitely make it an academy type story… and definitely make it a dense protagonist…

This novel has a wise story, but personally I don’t like the MC who plays with other characters with his illusion magic. The author added it as a joke because the other characters misunderstood the MC’s abilities and couldn’t differentiate between illusion and reality. I also don’t like the story with each character where the MC puts them in the magic simulation he is playing, their story is a bit boring. This novel is more like an everyday life story, and each character get enlightenment after get out from MC’s illusion.
Might be just me but I feel like mtl is worse after chapter 50.

First part(2nd prince simulation) was 10/10 but i would rate rest until ch45 8/10, feels like problems that can be solved quickly are being delayed for no real reason

This is surprisingly quite good. Though only time will tell how the academy part will go, since it seems there are a lot of events and misunderstanding from various sides about each other and it doesn’t seem like there would be a lot of chance to truly do the TRPG session which is this novel’s main point. I feel like while the academy arc will have some session going on, the author will focus more on the real world side of things, I’ll have to see where this will go.
Another surprising part is actually that in 50 chapters, it is only around the later part of those chapters that he is actually inside the academy despite the summary is him being in the academy, the author sure did a lot of build up before actually sending him there.
the first session was awesome!. . second session is not so much. . if they have other session similar with the first one then this novel will legit be worth reading. . right now, I feel this novel just got lucky because of that first session. .

Its not really a table top RPG but more like a magical VR RPG with how it works and how its implemented. Its till great and funny though how the people interact with it.

Most definition of TRPG that I always hearing is Table-Top RPG. Its my first time hearing Tactical RPG.

TRPG usually stands for Turn-based Role Playing Game (like D&D), Divinty: Original Sin) as opposed to Real Time RPG.
TRPG has always been Tabletop RPG. Even if you search for it, it’s that result.
No, it hasn’t. That’s why video games like Baldur’s Gate and Divinity Original Sin are called TRPGs, and they ain’t table top (although as another poster below noted, the word tactical is used as well, but its based on the same concept). And table top RPG is far more often abbreviated as TTRPG.
Those are CRPG’s and have always been known as CRPG’s. The Baldur’s Gate series has been known as a CRPG since it was released in 1998.
Despite sometimes called Tactical RPG, it is more known as Strategy RPG(SRPG) instead, at least in my place.
