This is very well written novel, shame that the writer could not complete it. He did say about a year ago that he will remake it but there is no sign of that. This is the only novel I generally check on novelpia for updates. And this is like my most awaited and favourite novel lf time. The only thing bad about this novel is that it is not complete

Wah, the novel is really good in many ways, but Mc is really not my type. That guy, really, looks a lot like RIM’s Lee Kiyoung, that thick personality is really respectable. Well, will probably come back if there’s an update.
There are several reasons to consider her a regressor. Firstly, the main character notes that her growth is too fast, regardless of how talented she is or how well she is trained. Regressors usually show such rapid growth because they go through the same path for the second time. Secondly, after monitoring people from the palace, she said something like “just like last time, they treat my Lord disgustingly.” Finally, thirdly, when the main character looked like a badly cooked cutlet after the battle with the demon, she directly threw typical statements of regressors in our faces, such as “let me take everything on myself this time.” Here we are talking about a rather strange hidden skill of the highest rank and the fact that she had no reason to be obsessed with it at the moment, but such reasons could have existed in the initial timeline.
Nah, the maid a regressor? I don’t think so… It seems like that because she was spying but it’s probably her whim or mc’s idea imo.
If work on the book has been stopped, I think I can outline in general terms how the plot lines could have been concluded based on the current state of the characters, the author’s style, and my own personal ideas on the matter (no matter how hard I try to exclude the latter, it’s impossible to predict exactly what the author had in mind).
Warning, spoilers ahead – you have been warned.
Firstly, the plotline of the angel. As far as I remember, she is tracking someone in the material world, so the main character will most likely directly help her find this person and… Well, everything else depends on why she is tracking him. Let’s say it’s some kind of sinner who needs to be killed – there will be a boss battle. During this plotline, the main character will most likely find out that all the lies he told the angel will turn out to be true, and he really is to some extent who he claimed to be. In the end, we were warned that it’s impossible for a person to have infinitely high mental protection while being weak unless the heavenly god protects him.
Next, the maid-mage is most likely a regressor. Judging by how she treats the residents of the royal palace despite temporarily working with them, there will eventually be a fight against them… But more on that later. What’s important here is that she apparently doesn’t know that the main character is from another world or thinks he is, and that she regressed, I think, to the moment of the main character’s arrival or slightly later. Otherwise, she could have figured out what happened, but the fact that her owner started treating her differently is more of a memory for her, and she didn’t experience this change again. I think her plotline will end together with the main one by her being happy to remain as the main character’s “servant” to repay him for… I can’t imagine what the main character did in the first plotline to make her so obsessed with him, honestly.
Finally, the main plotline. Judging by the relationships between the characters so far, this is the plotline of the little pet princess and the duchess. War will eventually break out, and the duchess will personally participate in what’s happening. And I can bet my Steam account that she will have to die, and the main character will regret it. Of course, they somehow deal with the blessing of the goddess of love, but by that time, there will be other excuses to keep them in the same boat, and the regressor will not be interested in saving the duchess or will simply miscalculate. Either way, the lawful wife is dead, and the only human heir to the empire thanks to the main character will ascend to the throne. She will sincerely love him, and they will get married, and despite being happy in their marriage, deep down, the main character may mourn that he didn’t save the duchess (if the author is spineless, expect a meaningless happy ending where he marries both).
Finally, for dessert – the main character will collect all the swords and a bunch of demon cores to return his master’s memories, which will turn him from a playful monkey into a truly respectable gigachad, and the main character will finally stop complaining that there wasn’t a beautiful girl in his sword because he will respect his master.
I agree MC is trash. He is not dense, he is aware of his wife’s feelings, but uses her kindness for his own interests, such as using his wife’s money for gambling. Whenever his wife was angry, he used sweet words to quell her anger. I feel sorry for his wife. MC has an affair with his 3 exclusive maids, but that doesn’t mean he cares about them. The MC at the beginning of the story wants to expel his first maid, but realizes she is a wizard, so he doesn’t. The reason he took the other two maids, was because one was an angel and one was an ex-princess. I think the writer wanted to change the MC according to the storyline, because the MC has a character that doesn’t believe in love, and thinks marriage is a terrible thing. Unfortunately we won’t know, because the author is not continuing this story anymore. The story ends with a cliffhanger ending. For me, just 6/10.
I will note that in the second half of the book, reading it became truly enjoyable. In some scenes, I almost spit out my tea from laughter, and the pointless references and sluggish narrative disappeared.
So what I get from Des’ comment is that the duchess is the type of girl that will die be sent to the past and abandon him because she no longer cares for him and MC is the guy who will suffer a bad fate in the second round if this is a former villainess go back in time manga.
Ah right forgot about the mc’s abilities if someone is interested.
He has a skill that fuse all kind of swordmanship in one but its power is useless (reduced to 20% of its original power or by 20% don’t remember). He gets a teacher, a ghost in a sword who helps him train with some ult techniques that makes his body a rag.
Then there’s the possessor skills, Something like a protection from the Stars that makes him immune to mental attacks. (Immune to killing intents make ppl misunderstand he’s a master or stronger)

What can I say? Mixed feelings.
Plot:
MC became Reiner, the Husband of the Grand Duchess but a through a contract marriage (although the duchess has feelings for him, maybe childhood) . He gets “bound” to her because of the marriage ring that kills the wearer if the other wearer dies. So if the Duchess dies (she plans a rebellion against the empire in 3years) he dies too.
He will try to survive before the 3years countdown.
Characters:
It’s Harem, although I don’t know if the Duchess is a heroine or not… Mc is dense about her feelings.
Other heroines are the maid kinda childhood friend, an angel that idolize him, and a thought-dead princess.
Maybe even a demon… Idk for now.
I’ll tell you why I have mixed feelings: I thought the duchess would be the main heroine but it seems that mc doesn’t care about her at all.

He even had an affair(probably sex) with a demon who’s the current princess (a demon). I feel bad for the Duchess cuz she has genuine feelings for him… Well this is my opinion .
Although everything about this book screamed “poisoned!”, it surprisingly reads well. Although I’ve only made it halfway through, the only downside I can note is the narrative style mentioned by the guy above, as well as a large number of references, not all of which were personally understandable to me.
Overall, it’s entertaining and not poisoned, but don’t expect anything amazing from this book.
The internal thoughts were amusing and a nice part at first but quickly got old when It’s literally the only thing you read for the next couple chapters, until, eventually you see him move around only for him to make jokes again for the next couple chapters. Rinse and repeat. Quite exhausting.

The ending of this novel is also a hanging one. MC enter as game character from descendants of a fallen noble family who have contract married with his childhood friend, Grand Duchess. MC is given a choice by the system. Depending on the choice, his current remaining life can increase or decrease. At the beginning of the story he only has a life span of 3 years because he failed in the Grand Duchess rebellion against the Empire according to the original story. In order to live, MC must succeed in her revolution against her empire. For romance, the Grand Duchess already has a feeling for the original MC since its beginning. Compared to the original MC , the current MC is the trash that took advantage of his wife’s kindness by using his wife’s money for gambling and made her angry by taking 3 exclusive ladies-in-waiting (wizard, angel and ex-princes).
I see regret. It seems I’ll be risking myself this time around
