    Good military novel with good translation. It’s not winning awards but it’s good. At least author is trying hard to add nuances, and even with MTL overall picture can be understood. But still these kind of Novels should not be MTLd, it’s focus is on strategy and it’s difficult to understand what’s going on properly here.

    I would give this novel a rating of 5/10. The story revolves around the MC who starts as a supporter of the novel protagonist but is betrayed. The MC tries to uncover the traitor’s identity. The novel combines politics and war, portraying the MC as a serious and ambitious character who aims to become a general and build his kingdom. Unfortunately novel lack strategy story that make me feel flat. The author struggles in story development, with many characters easily following the MC. The MC tends to be dull, depicted as a fake genius by the author but always successful. There are no intriguing characters driving the plot. I hoped for characters like the third prince to have balanced conflicts with the MC, but many end up acknowledging the MC’s superiority, leaving the story lacking significant conflict. Regarding romance, despite many female characters liking the MC, he often ignores them, making the dormitory aspect of the story weak.

    Read 40 chapters. 4/10

    The decisions the author makes are really strange. They throw a hundred different names at you. I will not remember the names of every officer, general, commander, royal, noble, servant, and mercenary within every faction.

    First brother Max and second brother Maxiim. Mercenary Wade and Mercenary Jade. They soundalike and this MTL is especially rough with the names.

    Now the plot.

    So many developments that are just left to rot. I can’t even tell what genre this is supposed to be because the author keeps starting so many storylines. What about the therianthropes? What about the elves? What about the fallen Kurrabel Empire? Whose the traitor? Why is the MC helping multiple factions during times of war?

    Maybe it’s all explained in the next 200 chapters. I’m not going to wait that long. The war strategies/combat scenes are somewhat interesting, but everything else is boring and cliched.

      It is a fantasy war story.
      Although the main character is not a munchkin, you can think of it as a story about a man with an extraordinary brain and growing up from a strategist.
      What’s interesting is that as the second half of the story progresses , he becomes an extraordinary protagonist who makes everyone around him feel full, to the point where it can be said to be a trickster’s rampage.
      The downside is that magic suddenly appears in the mid to late game… I think it’s an unreasonable move on the part of the author since it’s a story that doesn’t fit with a war story.
      I think it’s a 4-point piece because of the magic.
