    The novel lacks focus, it’s too divided between revenge plot and teenage pure love romcom. It’s similar with character focus as well hovering between the mc and fmc’s POVs instead of just focusing on 1 character.

    There’s also a big issue with pacing and time skips. Too much time was focused on unimportant side characters that shortly never appear again (romance between maid and fmc’s brother), yet important developments (fmc’s trial to become saintess, mc’s training with his powers) are promptly skipped over using a one-liner joke about how dense the mc is.

    Overall it’s not as good as everyone said it is IMO 4/10. Read it if you really want fantasy romance but doesn’t care if either genres are mediocrely done.

      Bruh, ever read The Princess Bride? Count of Monte Cristo? Stories that interweave love and revenge, trend from lightness and comedy to violence, as told from multiple viewpoints, are some of the best stories out there. They speak of humanity. Your criticisms read like a Berserk fan fixated on shounen novels where MC is obsessed with revenge, and having any emotion is uncool because girls “weaken” him.

      You also clearly don’t get the importance of the counterpoint that is drawn between the MC and FMC and Terion and Hanna. The death of Terion and Hanna is a constant driving force and motivation for the MCs, but at the same time, a reminder for them of the fragility of male-female relationships and the need to nurture and preserve them. It also brings a sense of pain and remorse that leads to the development of the MCs’ characters. So the claim Hanna was somehow an unimportant side character that distracted from the plot shows you just don’t get it.

      As for pacing, sure at times it is uneven, but name a web novel on this site that doesn’t suffer from that issue from one degree to another.

    i liek this pure love 10/10, the rate here is clearly underestemating the development of this novel althought if you dont have patience you will find this as a mundane novel anyway this novel is like not a rush one. it clearly shows that its taking its own pace of story love it <3

    This is one of the best novels I’ve seen in a very long time, it IS a slow paced dark fantasy delicacy, so if you’re into munchkin omniscient cheesy protagonists this won’t be for you.

    This novel take some time to properly establish itself and get started, at first you’ll be left wondering what’s the point of a reincarnated MC who has no idea what is going to happen in the future and that isn’t smart enough to infer about it or why the cabin life has to be this long but it’s all for the purpose of showing how both MC and FMC come to become ruthless pragmatists and hopeless with the world and how both of them complement each other so well.

    They are not overly edgy or bloodlusty either, the description of the Saint walking through a battlefield with a soothing light bringing death to those who gaze at it, all while softly chanting a prayer and wielding an axe while in the backdrop of the darkness there is her knight roaming like a beast concealed of view ready to tear it’s preys apart has to be the coolest description ever.

    At it’s core it reminds me of The Regressor and the Blind Saint with it’s own very unique colors and twists that makes it even better, I cannot recommend it enough, if you enjoy revenges stories and pure love this is an easy 10/10.

      While there’s some good highlights in this novel it gets stale after a while and feels more like a political story? I have mixed feelings about it, the story simply flows without too many interesting happenings.

    I still agree with what I said. cmonnn cultivation yandere would be so cool!!

    Core refining MC has to battle the ever increasing demands of nascent soul senior sister or young master of other powerful sect, but the MC refuses because why would he accept lmao. You’re not my dao companion sister, in fact I just see you as a sister.

    Then 10000 years later, the MC has a family and their child says “mother and father, how did you two conceive me?” perfect language as a 10 years old. Then the yandere dommy mommy will say “it all began when your father was being a stupid idiot that wouldn’t accept my marriage requests, and then I beat him to a pulp, dragged him to my room and~ milked him dry ❤️❤️“ while the MC just stares in shock as this went into way too graphic detail and perhaps you shouldn’t tell your child that you r* your husband.

    MC is like “no no young one, what your mother meant to say is that she tried very hard to court me and succeeded! Hahahahaha ignore what she said, she’s insane.”

      There is a story on Royal road like that. The MC has a yandere protagonist disciple. His mom was a yandere who courted his father by making sure he had no other options.

    My intuition didn’t deceive me. It is indeed a worthy piece of work. I can’t say that the narrative pace should have been faster… I think we are being told events at the pace they should be. However, what really disappoints is the small number of chapters. For such a leisurely pace, one needs to seriously immerse themselves in the book for a hundred or so chapters and get involved in the story, but we have just over fifty… It’s regrettable.

    Good read, character is well written and the world building is decent i guess
    But its slow pacing is killling me, sometime i just skip the chapter because its to boring.
    There is nothing new adding MC as reincarnation. Its just too add more useless sentence which i skip when MC lost in his own thought. I bet making MC native to this world will not change single thing except for the story 50% shorter.
    If you say, oh MC awaken his aura thanks to his knowledge, nope. Original MC also already obtain that aura without future knowledge. So making MC as reincarnator is useless. Except for that this novel is good.

    the story started with the mc (an apprentice Knight for the fmc’s family) , fmc and fmc’s brother being sent away from the territory to hide to sudden invasion from the demon king.. later after the invasion ended fmc’s uncle betrayed them and sent mercenaries to their hideout to kill them to inherit the dukedom since fmc’s father is dead.. fmc’s brother dies in the process.. they manage to defeat the mercenaries and run away to the forest to seek help from their relatives.. uncle sends assassin’s again.. they’re saved by a member of the church of death (a forgotten religion with little followers). fmc becomes their saint in exchange for saving the mc’s life.
    you might ask why didn’t the mc act based on his future knowledge of the novel..welp mc has no knowledge regarding the past of the villainess.. he only knew about her war with original female lead..
    in terms of relationship he and fmc were already very close before the story started so little progress regarding that
    tada!!! I just summarized the first 37 chapters which could have been written in 10 chapters only but the author decided to waste our times.. he’s not a bad writer but the pacing was so slow and it was very boring

    I despise white haired lolis, if it’s going to be a white hair, they need to be at least above 5’6, Napoleon, and conquer 3/4 of Europe or the equivalent of Europe in their fantasy world within 1.6 years.

      Though I only skipped through the early chapters rly fast (until 16 cap). The fml made some slip ups in her dialogue, that she has been stalking our mc even before they ran away from the dukedom and she is a 12 years old… 🤨
      Anyways it doesn’t sound bad the novel, though I have to still read the rest.
      For anyone who wants to read u can just read like the first 2 chapters then skip to 12 that u won’t lose anything.
