    man, I just realized the reason why “A Regressors Tale of Cultivation” hurts so much is because it’s just like Frieren 😭😭

    Wildly different genres and ideas but at its core, embrace the memories of the fallen and those gone. Ugh memories man, nostalgia and the past. Such a good way to hurt your readers heart 😭😭😭

      I had trouble figuring out where this came from, but you must be talking about the character whose d!ck the MC chopped off with a chainsaw and then was forced / fooled into taking a sex change pill. That whole story was messed up. And why the hell does the childhood friend still hang out with that “woman”, who the childhood friend knows drugged her and turned her against the MC? It’s like, WTF author?

      The MC thinks he’s weak at the start because he’s a nobody, not even a side character, but he’s above average strength and potential at the least. He gets over that around when he finishes middle school.

      I wouldn’t say he’s OP after that but he can handle situations better than most adult hunters when he goes to the academy/college.

      I struggled to get to Chapter 106, but when I got to the chapters with alleged white southerners waiving confederate flags at the academy in Puerto Rico, I just couldn’t get any further – the novel had completely jumped the shark.

        Oh, and of course I forgot about the MC in that chapter gutting another student in a sanctioned academy duel and then repeatedly stomping on that student’s intestines while everyone just stands by watching and does nothing.

        The whole novel degenerated into a violent situational comedy with no real plot anymore.

    OK – the reviews above confused the hell out of me, because they use the term “villain” to refer to two completely different characters. In short, there is the MC, the MC’s initial childhood friend, and the regressor, who eventually becomes the MC’s childhood friend. The regressor is the “villain / childhood friend” of the title. The original childhood friend becomes evil, but is not the “villain.”

    So guy finds himself in a typical novel situation. He is childhood friends with a middle class girl and a chaebol Villainess final boss(?) of the original story? His middle class friend is hooked on druga when she enters middle school and crack makes her woozy and she is ntred away.
    So our mc who failed to rehab her cuts ties after she almost killed him and slowly falls in love with final extra boss girl cf. So it’s a reverse ntr onc eshe off drugs. And the guy who ntred middle class fam cf becomes a trans after getting his phall chopped off. I’m not making this #%%#% up.
    So that’s that?

    umm, not too bad. There’s a revenge plot which is pretty shallow tbh, but the main draw appears to be the relationship between the villain and the childhood friend; that’s right, a novel following its titled setting — absolutely unbelievable, i know, but somehow a thing.
    As of ch 81, just short of the entire novel is dialogue of two friends harassing each other verbally and physically – yet it’s shockingly cute. normally, cat-and-dog pairings are simply piss-poor attempts at portraying horrible abusive relationships as ‘cute’ or ‘funny’; here instead, it actually is them being genuine. widely different social and emotional positions, as well as talent and strength, but treat each other very equally. there’s no one-sided abuse, no holding emotional or real debts hostage, just an originally normal guy going crazy trying to handle a b***h that’s actually crazy.

    there’s signs of harem, but no romance yet. protag looking slightly dense tho ngl, crossing fingers and stocking up on hopium

    I give my seal of approval, despite the translation being quite hard to read, the story is worth it.

    Also, so far there is no sign of the harem, maybe it is, but almost the whole story is just the mc with a single girl.

    This guy on chapter 2 whining like I was transported to game World but I’m not Mc, side charec, villain etc just a ordinary no magic guy do I just need to graduate and get a good job
    Then chapter 3 knowing game world,he sees final regressor villian a sudden sense of justice rosy by he wanted to kill her while stealing pendent while risking his life

    Early review: I’m up to chapter 15 and boy did shit go from 0 to 100 real quick. From what I read, the mc was transported/possesed as (person=title) and possesses a weak body. Miss villain, who was seemingly innocent in the first few chapters, becomes a ‘broken’ nearly psychopathic person after a few time skips and blames mc for her troubles. She starts to take action against mc (attacking) and that’s where I’m up to in the story. I predict there might be a little bit of regret from miss villain from the way things are going currently, just a small bit. The story is interesting, however there are a few perspective changes between mc and miss villain that makes things just a tad bit confusing.
    That’s all for my early review.
    I’m not an expert in reviews, I don’t even know if you can call this one, so please take this lightly and don’t let it stop you from reading this. Go ahead and try a few chapters for yourself and see if you like it. 👍
